This is the song that made me fall so hard in love with country/country pop music. Used to hate country with a passion but now I am OBSESSED with country music and Thomas Rhett. My first concert was his VHS Tour and I was so excited. He even sang Crash And Burn that night! I love every song of his, he never puts out a bad tune. I got lucky at the concert because we got lawn seats, which I was still grateful for, but me and my dad were walking around and we stopped at the entrance of the pavilion itself, (metal seats) and one of the staff working there gave us complementary tickets to get closer. I broke down in tears I was so happy. He came up on this little stage in the crowd and we were about 10 seats away. I couldn’t be happier that night. By the end, I was voiceless due to screaming his songs as he sang. An experience I will NEVER forget. I still have the ticket and framed it to remember that awesome night! Thanks TR for the memory! ♥️🤙🏻 You guys have any good stories like mine? Reply if you do, I wanna read them!

Robert Joseph Suvak Jr. I think Alex's point (and what I would probably argue as well) is that even if genres change somewhat over time, the very fact that they ARE genres at all means they have certain characteristics that make them what they are. Sure, 90s country doesn't sound like Hank Sr (thank god, in my opinion), but there are still very clearly identifiable country features of most of those songs. Country music today has lost just about all of that, and eventually you have to start wondering if something changes so much from one thing to another, can we still honestly call it by the first name anymore? And if the answer to that is yes only because we've redefined what that original name meant, then you haven't really proved your point. In fact, you've probably made OUR point for us.
