Whenever I hear this specific loop, I just instantly think back to 2020 early pandemic. Staying up late because there was no work, the uncertainty of it all, wondering if life would ever be the same again. How life had seemed to change seemingly overnight, being on FaceTime group for hours with my friends because we couldn't see each other in person, driving by stores that had closed down, how quiet the streets were...it's crazy that it's been 4 years already.

It reminds me of march-july 2020 when we would stay up late, listen to tiktoks with this sound and having to chose your favorite room to sleep in. having the old quarantine tiktok audios and videos. Having vsco girls still. Pulling all nighters. Watching stranger things and endless amounts of series and movies. Starting zoom calls with friends and discord chats. Biking for hours on end with siblings and friends after pulling all nighters and it was noon. Playing among us with friends and when school started, playing among us in class. Realizing we will probably never experience something like this again.

Being the only person comes with a comfort and serenity, which is given by the song, but also sadness and a wierd kind of guilt and loneliness. It makes you want to listen when you feel overwhelmed, but not a good idea when your in a good mood, becuase it will take away the good feeling.

Breaking it down I believe the reason this song has such a strong impact and influence on emotion is because the unique sounds create and echo that leave the mind to fill it in, in a sense this song can be a blank canvas all you need to do is listen and paint it with your imagination or to simply take inspiration from what your mind has already seen the possibilities are endless. However reading the comments I have noticed most people tend to sway towards the same direction as a feeling of nostalgia to a place they have never been or a place that dosent exist.
So here is my take as inspiration as a story as whatever you wish to make of it. (just listen while you read so it makes sense.)
The setting is deep space the vibrant colours of the cosmos clash with the thick black darkness of space, yet the darkness dosent feel intimidating, it feels welcoming unexplored and against what is may seem, warm. You are floating, as a human, as an entity without physical bounds as anything. The feeling of weightlessness entrances you, similar to how you feel underwater, weightless, quiet peaceful, as you drift slowly the the colourful palette of the universe becomes ever more vibrant as you slowly drift towards it. Planets? Overgrowing with luscious green vegetation? Sci fi city stations with advanced tech and different species? a 90s themed diner along side a highway stretching all the way around like one of Saturn’s rings? or possibly nothing like? Light from an unknown source? Far away? So close you could touch it?

It gives me an odd sense of sadness, like a memory adrift that I can see but can't touch, like I'm in a place I've been at before, but can't quite remember everything. The tone sends me adrift into a corridor of my safest memories that are stashed deep within my mind untouched for years, but it also sends me into a void, it makes me feel as if I can't quite come out which scares me.
