My heart did break a bit though. I love printing and painting my own dioramas and got really hopeful about a new project. Amazing work though, breathtaking composition.

What a beautiful piece. That stair illusion/perspective is unreal. It looks like the stars go back a hundred feet, but when you see the pictures of the statue from the side, the stairs are only a few inches deep. Amazing!

This is one of the most beautiful collectibles and paint jobs I've ever seen. I would love to work my way up to be able to confidently paint something like this, but I'm wondering what the best "training model" to start with would be.
I had no idea what the final statue looked like, so it was amazing seeing it all come together both in story and in physical form.
That is such a brilliant sculpt and paint job. It came out beautifully. The concept and vibe of the character reminds me of the cover of a mystery story on paperback. Fantastic looking.

Aren’t these painted by some company in China in the end for production? While the Sideshow skill is great, what matters is the production piece that ends up in my hands as the customer.
@@eufrosniad994 I'm an artist, not a collector. I admire what's being done, physically, in this video. Some people aspire to buy them, some aspire to MAKE them. It's totally cool you're a consumer, I'm happy for you.
@@TheTrueMac The thing is, Sideshow is in the business of selling statues. If what you see here is just unique to the prototype and the production piece is far from it, then it is a problem. This is because these things do cost a fair bit and the implication of these videos is that we will get our moneys worth. But, quite often, we will get a production piece that is not like this. One would be lucky to get one where the eyes are painted correctly without them being wonky. So that is why it’s not helpful. After all, one can see ample amount of painting skills if you look at miniature painting and garage kit painting videos on CZcams.

I was going back and forth on this one. I normally only buy DC. But I also have the latest Red Sonja on pre order 🤭. So yeah I was really debating to go in on this line or not. Because this an original line I felt that Sideshow would have to go all in on the first release. How Ursula comes out of the factory, well it has to speak for itself. I wanted to wait for inhand photos from collectors. But she already looks so good and with not the highest ES I think she might sell out soon. Considering Sideshow's stunning production pieces the last years and their high reputation and the importance of this line, I have confidence that they will ensure a high-quality release for this statue. So yeah I pre ordered and will go all in on this line 👍👏👏

I’m not sure where this Pulp Vixen stuff is from, but this is a piece of art!! Not something I collect, but am considering based simply on how fantastic this is. The painted statue created a vision in my head as though I am there watching this in a live action scene. @Sideshow Collectibles you guys keep impressing me more and more. Love you guys

@@CollectSideshow Honestly asking here, as others have said, this is amazing work. However, does all of this get replicated in the production pieces? With art pieces, usually it’s one of a kind and it’s akin to buying the very piece showcased in this video. However, that is not the case with buying from Sideshow. So it comes down to how much of these complex processes are replicated when painting. More often than not, I have seen people get statues with errors in paint.

Art at its finest, I was very entertained and capulated on your experience of capturing the realism of the color spectrum the years and decades of producing the the old museum renaissance art. The applied pigment hues of the saturated colors and choices and the current application techniques make this figure diorama a truly a museum viewing experience for one's like myself a absolutely magnificent daydreamers delight!
