The ammy is clearly hacked. There is no such thing as a lev 10 ammy with 2 skills and FCR, resist all, etc. I craft them before and usually I get lev 67.

Hey there! The item was created manually for testing purposes. It appears it was created incorrected though, as the +2 Assassin Skills can't actually be an affix on the claw with the combination it has.

All of these were made with an item editor, I noticed from the First claw and the Ancient Armor Enigma that it was BS also if you look at the HoZ towards the end of the video it has +63 Werewolf on it.

This was a lan game, which generally indicates lag on the host's end.
what happens if you got killed by other players, will they be able to get your gears?
Short answer: No. That was a part of a scam from pre-1.10 d2 days (1.10 released on Oct 28 2003) where you could have a maximum of 1 corpse with equipment on, so if you accidentally equipped an item and died again, all your other equipment would "pop" and be up for grabs from others. Scammers would kill a player, flood his corpse on the ground with trash items, etc. so the player could not avoid picking stuff up, and then getting killed again, resulting in the "pop".
Today, you can have something like 14-16 bodies. And if you leave a game and join again, the game will save the body with the highest gold value(in items). So just make sure not to equip any other items.

tbh i used ebotd zerker on my hybrid wolf due to being tired of being out ranged by barbs. I think grief is a bit over rated on a pub wolf unless its straight bm melee
They nerfed wolf/bear druids too hard after 1.10. Only weapon IAS counting put a serious hurt on them when Paladins and Barbs don't have such limitation.
@@DangerRussDayZ6533 well, that’s only part true. It’s not only weapon ias, off wep ias does count in certain setups, mainly with two-handed weps but in some one-handed ones it can push you over the break point.

@@DangerRussDayZ6533 you need to be more specific with what I need to fact check because everything I stated is based on my own experience pub dueling and gm melee in a wolf vs wolf ladder. Using a phase blade grief vs a barb with berserker axes and being out ranged isn’t fun so I switched to ebotd zerker and held my own just fine.

Yeah and if an hdin is tele stomping repeatedly, step down and right some, there is a blind spot and you can really wreck them quick

a blind spot for paladins is right up against them front on, the hammer will miss, and if your stuck in the death circle, dont run around cause its a better chance youll get hit with a hammer and be completely melted away. Hammers can do up to 8k damage each even at level 75. Crazy fcr means a storm happens pretty quick and running around is usually a death lol

the paladin was noob tho, since all your need to do is namelock then desync charge and spam hammers. At least that is what you did in the old D2, not sure if they fixed desync in D2R. But you could kill the opponent from 1-2 screens away (at least from the opponents point of view you appear 1-2 screens away, in reality you're standing right on top of them / next to them, but they can't see you).
why ancient armor base for your enigma? Archon plate is only 3 more str requirement, more armor and most important not 10% movement speed penalty because its a light armor, Ancient armor is a heavy armor class

You can download maxed out characters or I believe you can bring some saves over from D2 LOD but I think both of them are playing through LAN game, no bnet yet

WW looks unplayable right now. It doesn't look possible to tri-whirl in its current build... I played a Ghost-sin for years and considering it's the only viable PvP build for barbs they had better fix it.
It is unplayable.WW is delayed (and more). Check out my tests videos. Barb is a no go at the current state, sadly.
Yeah, I mean, to be fair it's still a technical alpha. I wouldn't take any of it at face value before tweaks have been implimented.

Heh, this is a really choppy, crappy example of 'actual' D2 PVP. This was hosted via "LAN" with another player half way across the country. So, figure the ping we're playing at is probably around 300-400 at the time of this video. This was also published before the game's actual release, so it's a hot buggy mess. Actual Diablo 2 PVP is definitely ahead of it's time and isn't properly reflected by this video.

proper d2 pvp was like 8 people doing crazy stuff. Or you were in a game with 8 people, then some high level would hostile, and you hunt them in-game. It added randomness, and competition. You had clan rivalry etc. And it was THE END GAME to test the best of the best gear. Everyone had entire accounts of PvP chars also to change in the middle of PVP, since there was always strengths and weaknesses in builds.
A good example of how good PvP was, once I was in-game then I got the SOJ count start going off, knowing it was a hot server, but it was a public game. I was stuck in this game waiting and when others joined, I tried to tell them to leave etc. Eventually someone joined and saw the SOJ count also, knowing Diablo Clone was going to pop. So we went hostile to each other, then each tried to camp unique monsters near waypoints to get the Diablo Clone first. We would track each others town portals, then try kill the unique monster they had, or kill them. This game of cat and mouse went on for a few hours, until Diablo clone popped, the other guy killed me as I was fighting Diablo, then stole the Anni.
D2 PVP was awesome. It added genuine competition to the game, and made it feel like it was this ruthless world. The game was all about killing other gamers, about scamming other players, about lying to other players, ripping other players off in trades, and using bugs and hacks, with everyone yelling at each other and acting like jerks. It felt like you were in some corrupt place lol. It added to the experience and atmosphere. People who only played D3 legit have no idea. That game was a kids game in comparison. Made to not hurt feelings, made for mass appeal, got boring af and mass negative reviews.

I played D2 when I was 11 with a friend and we got to Act 3 and never continued. That's basically my experience.
Your description sounds like those battle royal games that are popular nowadays but with more at stake. I remember playing on PvP servers in WoW and those got unpopular as no one likes random encounters with another faction as every PvP server transformed into a sole Horde or sole Alliance server of time and so the PvP was very imbalanced 😆
Back in the day I had really fun encounters in WoW though. Even had people body spawn camp me a few times.
So adunno how to design random player encounters in a game. There's also the Rust approach, that one's pretty crazy and surprisingly popular.
They go a step further and actually let you loot enemy players and it takes a lot of grind to get weapons and build bases in that game.
DarkFall was a complete flop, the PvP did happen and was pretty great, you could lose all your loot. But the grind man... that was not fun 😆
It's not that PvP games are unpopular, but it takes a certain breed of people to grind gear and then willing to lose it in random encounters with players.
EVE is also interesting for that.
The PvP in D2 always seemed like a bit of a vanity project to me 😆 Where people show off their best gear against one another and fight some.
But in your scenario where you actually had stakes, that's crazy. Was that even an intended game mechanic? Going into other realms, go hostile and steal boss loot.
Actually this reminds me of DarkSouls now. Except there enemies can side with the enemies while chasing you down lol.

rare/impossible to find, but what part makes it impossible stat wise? should the IAS actually be 30% capped I'm thinking?

Cruel (%ed), Fools (+AR and +Max Damage/ level), Mechanics (two sockets) and the +2 Assassin Skills.
Rare items can only have three prefixes and three suffixes.
The 40%IAS is fine as it's a suffix that can spawn on claws.
EDIT: the uber godly ghost'sin claw would be Ethereal, Cruel, Fools, Mechanics Of Quickness, Repair and some other useful suffix (-%requirements? +Dex? Knockback?) With +3 Claw Block, Fade, Venom staffmods.

This was a LAN game and my opponent had some lag to be fair, so I naturally was slower.
