Dario Bassolino is a pianist, producer and composer born in Naples, where he currently resides. Bassolino's debut album 'Città Futura', released in March 2024 via Periodica and Jakarta Records, was featured on Billboard Italia and Delicieuse Musique. Plus, there is support from CRACK, Somewhere Soul, My Analog Journal, and Rhythm Passport. Radio support by Tom Ravenscroft BBC6 Music New Music Fix (UK), Mike Gurrieri's Mystic Brew PBS Radio Melbourne (AUS), Raffaele Costantino's Musical Box Rai Radio 2 (IT), Colectivo Futuro & Handson Family on Soho Radio (UK) plus spot plays on Radio Raheem (IT) & WDR Cosmo (GR) to name a few.
Bassolino’s live show has a very organic form. It is inspired by jazz, funk and disco improvisation, having extensive experience playing to enthusiastic international audiences as a session musician at prestigious festivals Primavera Sound, Montreux Jazz Festival, Dour Festival and We Out Here.
The selection is based on deep and accurate research on Italian and Neapolitan cinema. Bassolino leads us between the funk/prog and disco arrangements, solid grooves and celestial orchestrations: the right steps to enjoy and understand the roots of his music.

for me selection is the main thing and the thing that is most often ignored by DJs too focused on transitions and not on the music itself. as a long time fan of Criminale and Neapolitan funk & disco - this guy knocks it out of the park.
