Pete has to be one of the best drivers I have ever seen. Picks the line everytime, doesn't over do the right foot, and commits when required. A+ in my books
Without a doubt, he just get's it right 99% of the time.
I agree about Pete, and Jesse is a great addition to the show. But I do miss Rocket Rod.
Pete is the man
Best engine
@@Scott-Morrison-PM nah worst engine hahaha but i’ve said it since the first time i saw pete he’s so good
Nice to see Shaun taking his son Jesse camping, he has raised that boy well. We need a Dads vs Lads competition and get Graham and his boy Jocko to join in :)
That's an interesting idea mate 😆
Thanks, what ever you decide to do you must include a cooking comp :)
I've been watching this show for years now you just taught me the family connection that I never knew I'm slow like that
I just was thinking and wondering the same problem is the "sons" go for opposing sides to what the dads do
Jesse is his son?
The way Pete drives.... Is just amazing. Every time this guy nails it so perfectly, perfect line, perfect amount of throttle, perfect drive!!!
So much respect for Tony so hard sometimes to take the bypass track especially after the rest of the convoy has gone through. but sort of highlights that yeah we like to challenge ourselves and our trucks but we're not out to take unnecessary risk. It's about the adventure "and the next one" that keeps us out there. Good job boys.
Also got a few projects going on my old 80 that could really use some raptor. Great job on the episode 👌
100% unless it was the only way and I already had a winch on there's no way in hell I'd drive that and not the bypass. That's an easy risk vs reward for me.
Know your driving skills, know your rig and no when to look at an odstacle and say nope.
Tony proved his experience. By recognizing your own lack thereof, is a great indicator that he's learning and will become a great driver.
Pete is an absolutely incredible driver
39:49 How does he do that after everyone else suffered though painstaking minutes of torture... Pete's built different man!
And a rig that's immaculate
Pete defies gravity
Yep. He just drove it in one go. Amazing and more proof he's the best driver on the channel.
Drives like a god but can’t handle the heat of the devil (ie Shaunos cooking).
That was genuinely scary! I feel bad for Jesse. New bloke on the show and clearly a gun driver and spotter, but happened to be at the business end when it nearly went wrong. Shauno nearly paid the price and would be understandably shaken up, but you’d hope it doesn’t knock Jesse’s confidence for too long.
He showed incredible calm while spotting Shawn👍
But he spotted Shauno into trouble.....not out of it.
Work on a Holden rodeo and we need raptor to protect it
After we scraped it on a lot of rocks and sticks
That's the funniest and scariest episode by far.
Shauno and Reuben shook, that really scared me.
Jesse spotting and some jokes, best bloke ever.
Pete shows everything is easier, keen to see him more on the tracks
And Tony is humble enough to get an easy line.
Well done boys. What a show 👏👏👏
Perfect comment I would have said exactly the same thing!
Two thumbs up
Big respect to Shauno for that very tough moment he overcame. At times like this, its always the team effort and commitment. Hats off to the rest of the team. U r the man. The greatest episode ever.
Rule #1 of life: If Jesse can’t spot you through something, its impassable
@@kangawallafox85 with a tiny bit of momentum the line would have been fine. the engine torque likely was rolling the body to the right as well so going slow only increases the roll factor
So why didn't he tell him to stop 🤔
@@0xsergy show us a video of you doing mate
@@kangawallafox85 Line was fine he said that a rock shifted under the wheel, you get that on the big jobs
He didn't need to go that far right. Good spotting is an IQ test. Then afterwards saying "I thought you were gone'. Jesse showing immaturity here.
100% good call to winch. 4Wding is for fun not for risking your life. Well done and hopefully many will follow your lead in future when they face similar circumstances. Its never worth the risk. 🙂
Agreed, cheers mate!
@@4WD247 The best drivers know when to call it. The ones who aren't here anymore didn't. Great job.
Of course Pete walked the waterfall like he was walking down the street.
Great episode!
Remarkable drive from Pete, always through with a lot of control. This video is the most intense 4wd video I've seen. Big respect to Shauno for that very tough moment that he overcame.
Pete makes me wish I had a patrol. And talent.
Cam car made it too
As a 3L GU Patrol owner.. we have to learn to drive well because our cars have so little power we aren't getting up any other way. :)
I always say I'm a bad driver aided by a good 4x4 with my gu. Just seems to do things rather easily!!!!
Helps he’s kept the weight low down
@@GSAUS until someone else has driven a zd GU they underestimate just how bad it is 😂
That perfect waterfall drive from the U9 Patrol was absolutely stunning! Underrated part of the episode if you ask me!
I bought my first 4wd (a YD25 D40 Navara) a few months ago as a crank no start and with the help of a workshop manual I found online, rebuilt the top end of it as it turned out to have cracked the cylinder head! Got it roadworthy and registered just in time for my birthday and now I’m getting into the cosmetic side of things. Typical D40 paint quality, faded and peeling away, so the Raptor bottles would sure give me a great look for the new year!
I dream of shipping my 80 from the US to come wheel with you Aussie boys. Love watching you guys wheel!
anyone else find Rueben’s laugh just contagious? When he’s cracking up it just makes me chuckle
Im 16 and I have just bought myself a 1989 toyota surf and i'm building it up to my daily driver and weekend warrior. As its an old vehicle on its original paint the paint is absolutely shot with rust, scratches and sun damage, a new coat of raptor would go a long way. cheers boys.
Pete’s face during the cooking segment😂
It was the “why?” whilst looking at Shaun’s in pure disgust 😂😅
As much as I want to join the boys on a trip, it’s basically a guarantee that a bottle of Tabasco sauce will be involved
I think Jesse is a good addition to the crew. I'm glad to see Jesse is more involved with narrating. like everyone else in the 4WD 24-7, everyone seems to be really cool. this is by far the scariest episode I've ever seen. like what we say here in the US, "it's what we do!". glad to see everyone is safe.
Climbies waterfall is really something I still think about the people who tragically lost there lives so happy you guys made it safe
2 great 4wd episodes on consecutive thursdays. First up graham and the crew... now this craziness with Shauno and the boys. Tonight’s episode is a great group!
We have some BIG stuff coming in 2023! You just wait 🙌🏻
@@4WD247what about 2024
Pete just so smooth and in control in every drive hats off to you sir.
26:37 - that face! 🤣😂
You guys have truly outdone yourselves - as usual.
I've noticed a lack of roll cages in Australian builds. Are there laws against cages over there? This was a great example of why a cage is so important. I'm glad to see everyone made it through safely 🙏
Yeah it's a bit of a funny one here you can have "half cages" if theyre pre installed ( ex mining ect) otherwise it has to be engineered. I had a 105 series and a 60 series I've taken down climies track.. if you went over there's not much between heaven and steel that would keep you alive.. also a big fan of your show mate 🤙
Agreed! I just about crapped myself watching this! I have no idea how Shauno’s feels right now!
Does seem a little crazy.
Australian car laws are a bit counterintuitive
Ausie rules are much easier than the NZ LVVTA rule book and test. They are lucky
You're a bloody ledgend Shawno, always great to see some content like this pump out probably the best "I'm shitting myself" face yet. Big risk Big gains for a Big boy
Cheers mate! Glad you like the show
Shauno, intense! In America, there is nothing like a few fingers of bourbon to settle the nerves. Looking forward to when you come across the pond and experience 4 wheel driving here in the US.
Jesse and the flying Dmax, what a line 😂, a dalmationised camera vehicle, and much fun had, keep up the good work
Looks like a blast boys!
On ya Tony for knowing the limits. No shame in that at all.
A can’t get over how much that waterfall crossing has changed over the years, I was rewatching a very early episode and they just climbed it easier and was flatter
It definitely is much more washed out on that right side.
Do you have a link or are you talking dvd days?
I love how you guys don’t push anyone to do anything they are not comfortable doing, what an amazing team. So much respect
What a episode, I was at the edge of my seat when shauno was going up that climb! Well done to the boys to get stay composed and get him out of trouble without panick, knowledge and experience is wealth, well done boys look forward to the next episode!
Best epic adventure! The wife thinks it’s cute I watch this every week and I’ve been wanting her to get into this show, I recon this will be the one!
Fingers crossed 🤞😆
Each chapter keeps getting better and better! Chears mates from Guatemala Central America!!! 😎🤙🏼
Holy Moly!! Glad you're still with us Shauno! Pete is amazing, maybe you should rely on him to do some spotting on these difficult sections?
Pete is my spirit animal, always calm, never chewing gum on camera, quiet exhaust, never hits the limiter, perfect line everytime, doesn't need big power, truthfully though it wouldn't be quite the same with 5 pete's in a row, quietly slaying every mud hole\off camber
ocky doomsday climb\totally quiet vehicle.
Great vid and plenty of honesty, too. It’s always good to have the humour but seeing the scary moments shows that this is serious fun and these tracks have to be respected, especially in that landscape. Great bunch of guys and rigs and well filmed and edited as every; filming and capturing sound in the tough environment is also very well done. The content and production is at a high level that looks easy but I know you all work hard at this. Looking forward to 2023’s content. Merry Christmas!
Loved every second of this episode. Had me on the edge of my seat. Felt like I was there. Well done to the sound producer
Utter legends. Been living in the USA for last 10 years, you fellas make me miss my country like no tomorrow. Top work, Reuben is a fantastic addition, awesome entertainment, well done lads!
Currently in the shed is my 80 series, working on refreshing the front bullbar and in the final stages of fabbing up a rear bar! Would be nothing short of awesome to be able to give them a coat of raptor :)
Utter respect for Pete's driving skills. Lots of experience and an exceptional rig. Great episode. I had a "deja vu " moment during the waterfall track. Was it not a close call last time also....? But again, great show. 2👍's up.
Every episode with Jesse im always learning a bunch of stuff, he's an amazing spotter can't get any better!
Currently working on my d22, swapping over from tub/canopy over to a flat tray/canopy for a more modular work/camp setup
Recently spent way too muxh on redarc as I learnt the hard way using kings it cooked my battery.. recieving the raptor kit will be make my year as my paintwork is peeling and has some decent rust spots which need attention asap
Hi, my Dad and I are currently doing up a 2012 Toyota Hilux to take to the Cape in July and to Big Red the year after. This is our first rig build. I am getting my license in October and I love watching your channel for inspiration for our next adventures. I would really appreciate to have some raptor paint to aid us for our crusades in the future. Many thanks, Kate
Shauno and Ruben, I cant lie, watching this from my desk here in Utah, I about pissed myself watching that fear in your eyes when you went wheels up and also the weight of Rubens Rig. SHIT, that was one of the sketchyiest I have seen! Glad you are all ok!
Cheers.
Good on you guys.....Jesse is a terrific addition to your already awesome team. Very nice Tasmania episode....A very Beautiful, natural place, I loved my short time there, (Wished it was 4wding) Cheers lads 👍🍻
Probably one of the most insane and teeth clenching episodes yet. I could most definitely use a raptor kit as I not long rolled my 4wd. I buggerd the stainless steel snorkel and bent and scratched majority of the bar work. So a raptor kit would really come in handy when the replacement bar work is all done.
Long time occasional lurker but this episode made me a subscriber of 4WD 24-7!
I just want to say it now, the most intense and actually frightening 15min of watching offroad videos. That was not OK but glad it's over.
Also Pete is a f'ing monster :D
OK back to the video now lol.
Finally brought my self a ranger and can't wait to hit my local tassie tracks but as you all know there is a lot of bush scub raptor coating would be a awesome upgrade, also love watching the tassie track vids 👍
First upgrade should be selling the ranger
@@user-qb4xr6ff9y nothing wrong with a ranger mate
Im working on a 1989 Isuzu Trooper and the pinstriping is pretty brutal with all the thorn bushes on the trails here. A raptor coat would do the trick!
That was amazing.... And Pete, that is an exceptional drive over that cliff. It was a moment of pure bliss as team work worked well...... Shaun was scared but he built it up the cliff really well.
It's always a good day when 4WD 24-7 uploads
Of all the time watching 4wd247 I've never seen Shauno like this, I think we forget there is a human behind the camera and you can definitely tell this by the fact that Shauno sweared on camera, I've never seen that before and it shows that this is a very real situation that could of gone a lot worse and in that moment he didn't care that the cameras were rolling. It terms of the raptor coating, it be nice to respray my ford ranger, been working on making it a capable camper and tourer. Cheers for all the entertainment boys, always love the entertainment.
Never a dull moment watching you Pete! Love your energy and spot on skills you share in your videos!
Glad to see true showman ship and leadership from the lads. There's nothing wrong with wanting a winch, wanting to preserve yourself and your gear. It isn't always about going hell for leather.
As for the comp, I'm currently in the throws of building up a toolbox/canopy setup I managed to pickup pretty cheap second hand. The plan is to make my ute suitable for work, and still have enough gear on board to go and play when I've got a weekend off.
Keep up the great work and the great content guys, looking forward to the next video
Shauno I love all the hard work you and the boys put in for these videos.I’ve watched all you videos and I have every 4x4 action CDs because I used to watch you when I was younger and still do to this day
I uses to think Ruben was always happy, but I think he just laughs at everything in a different tone.
Watch the cooking scene, turn the volume up, after the lid goes on the pot, and the heat reduced for 45min - 1 hour, and then hear what Ruben says.....
What he say can’t hear it
@shaunerixon5125 yea what's he say? Can't quite catch it 48:59
Best thumbnail the editors have made so far
I live in Houston, TX, USA and can't get enough of these videos since last year when they came over to the USA and drove some of our trails, hilarious fun. Anyways I think Shauno should do a "Bush" cooking class. Excellent stuff. Thanks !!
I'm working on giving my rig a bit of a makeover, specifically on the bullbar and tray which have gotten pretty corroded from living by the coast here in Tassie. I'm thinking about using Raptor coat to help protect them from further rusting and keep everything looking good as new. The coastal weather can be pretty harsh on cars, so I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to keep mine in top shape. Plus, I think the Raptor coat will give it a bit of a tough, rugged look too.
just curious how tall is sooty? i wanna get an 80 series
Well I mean it's far taller than a stock 80, all you can get I'd the stock height which you can just search up
@@keqrou yeah there is probably a lift on it
What an epic drive gents! This is my favorite 4wd channel!
As far as the Raptorcoat giveaway I could use it on the new frame swap I'm performing on my series 2 Land Rover Discovery
Like we say in Texas, Shauno has Cajones the size of grapefruits!! Well done mate
Mate, what a drive. You've been here and there, but guys, you've done it again. Absolute legends.
I'm working on an old Army trailer that was built in 1965. I'd love to get it set up as a camper trailer so I can use it as a base-camp. I've completed the draw-bar extension and a few bits and pieces. Next up is to strip it back and clean up the rust, before painting it. I'd love to be able to hit it with some Rapter!
Awesome episode guys! Such a thrilling and funny episode! Had me on the edge of my seat for the waterfall section! Killer drives lads 👌
This was such an thrilling episode, Jesse did such a good job on his spotting. Felt for Shauno so much, glad him and his vehicle are ok!
I have recently brought my 75 series Troopy (dream car) and it came with a defect due to rust on the outer edges on the roof and many long hours to try and get it done. Finally we have cleared the defect and would love to finish my dream off with the raptor coat.
Petes the best. All the others making a mess of that climb and he just drives up like any other road. By far the best truck and driver
Huge props to tony for taking the bypass.
The U9 patrol and driver are next level, make everything look easy👌
Great vid! Working on a classic HZJ75 series, cheeky turbo for a bit of go go juice, and the kicker is it runs on chip oil 🔥
Dude that was absolutely gnarly. Glad y’all made it out fine, shows how much experience counts when doing this technical driving
The mite of the dmax shines again good to see you are looking after Graham's dmax
Bloody sick episode, love the banter between Jesse and Shauno, easily one of the best parts, up there with the cooking sections 👌
Bought myself an 2007 N70 a couple months back and need to Sandblast and respray the tray, I reckon I'm going to respray the tray with some black raptor and go over my rock sliders and bull bar, give the old girl a bit of a spruce up. Will be a great time getting to put the Raptor to the test on the tracks with my mates!!
After 2 years of driving past this track and that track in Tassie and watching 4WD 24/7 for the inspiration for my build while I waited for my new D'max to arrive it's finally in the shed and I'm flat out building it up. So shouldn't be long and I'll be pointing it down one of those aforementioned tracks. A coat of Raptor would go a long way to protecting my new rig from some of that Tassie mud. Keep up the awesome content fellas. Cheers.
Fellas! Love you work every time! Tutorials, adventure, shed beers, cooking segments! Love it all! I've parked up my N70 for now, as I'm wanting to make it into a little tourer 👌 Raptor kit would go well at the end of it all 😍
I've got a 2005 hilux that needs a good raptor paint, great work everyone and seeing shuno shook up like that isn't something you see
Wow what an adventure mate,
This episode hit me with émotions seeing Shaun and Reuben shook
On my side I’m working on a 80 serie rebuild in my shed, 1 HDT powered !
the raptor kit would be the perfect fitting for the chassis protection as well as the bull bar and rear bumper !
Thanks for sharing your adventures !
Ive been watching you guys for years and this is by far the craziest video yet. Amazing, keep it up guys!
When I saw Jesse grab the bumper I was like "that's not doing anything to prevent a roll!" But now after reviewing the footage multiple times you can see at 25:45 the rear left wheel actually just about lifts off the ground😰 and therefore he might actually be the saving grace in this case! Glad you all got through and around it alright🤗 I was actually holding my breath through that section (again)
Respect for shauno for the terrifying cliff and being very brave
EPIC!
honestly every time you guys put out a video like this it makes me want to get out and see these awesome places!
Truly epic guys! Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!
The long time I am watching (Graham and) Shaun‘s adventures, it is about learning, watching and: the comradship.
I guess this time it was all about to put this comradship to a test.
What a trip.
Happy holidays to AUS from GER. 👍🏼
Hey fellas,
I’m a 17 year old starting my diesel mechanic apprenticeship very soon. Planning on painting the tray on my ute to impress the lads at work. Some raptor would go well for it 🤙
Another great video love seeing the progress of all the rigs definitely come a long way! I’ve been rebuilding an 85 FJ60 and the raptor kit would be a fantastic addition keeping it well protected.
Boys that was next level , my heart was beating out of my chest watching you all climb that cliff , beautiful place and always wanted to give that one ago but not now lol , keeps up the great works boys ❤️👍🍻🍻
That teeter was a pucker forsure! Glad you had all your fellas with you to get it squared away.
Well, to be honest I Don't usually comment or give like to videos but after watching that clip of Shauno, my heart started to stop almost. You deserve a like and comment brothers
Brilliant to watch guys thanks for making this video and putting it up on CZcams have a great Christmas mark in Guernsey 🇬🇬
Love the show! I have a 1999 Grand Cherokee that's a work in progress. Bought it stock and installed a lift, tires, gears, lockers, winch, tank tuck, diy 2x6 sliders. She's took some beatings and has battle scars. I have replacement doors and rear hatch that I want to install and raptor coat the whole rig. Keep the laughs and entertainment coming mates!
Donnie
even when i'm sad, these boys put a smile on my face
Shauno! When you come to US next year and are wheeling Moab, you have to take a drive to Land cruiser Museum in Salt Lake City. They have some peaches and some legendary builds
Reuben’s laugh makes everything 10 times better.
Onya Tony. Good to show blokes there’s always another option and go with the gut. Respect
just had my first shift of my first job(kfc) and plan to save every buck to put towards praji (mums prado) and get out me little 99% stock car and myself to whatever tracks i can find and it's been inspired by you guys for years and years of adventures. Thanks for the insporation guys!
I love watching you guys push the limits but sheesh that was close! Glad you called the safety card & all got out safe. Another great episode boys, cheers!
@@Txt-on-telgrm-Realvuhlandes Not sure how this works lol
Pete with the smirk after he did it without breaking a sweat hahaha
Wow! Off camber trail across waterfall on a cliff face! Nope! Good work everyone. I watched this episode through my fingers! 🤣😅
Best episode ever! Jesse is always doing great spoting, but man he has cold blood HAhahaa
"You just pull that too early, Never do that" - Shaun 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
