When you do the ruler test - you need to draw slow. That's the point, when you draw fast it will make the line smooth. When you draw slow, you may get wavy/jittery lines. The ruler test helps you draw a slow straight line, so we can see if there is jitter in the line and if the pen is good enough for real precision artwork.

The price of this laptop dropped like 20% here, was really eager to buy this but after ur video man no way, will just buy a used s8 ultra. I need smooth functioning pen support.
If I knew this laptop supported styluses I would have gotten it instead of the legion 5 pro. I'm kind of regretting buying it since it's so big. The weight is annoying but the size is even more so and I didn't think it would be a problem at first, but since we got back on campus at uni 2 months ago I realized how bad it is to carry it around after only keeping it at home since I bought it last summer. Maybe I should sell it this summer and get the flow x13 with the xg thingy with a 6850m gpu to turn it into a proper setup with a gpu on par with a 3080 and maybe also get a good high refresh rate monitor.
@@Scythical yeah, after hearing about nvidia open sourcing drivers for linux I think I'll stick with my laptop. this model has 1024 pressure sensitivity, but the new pen (asus pen 2.0) has 4096, and tilt sensitivity

I would recommend sticking to the Legion 5 Pro if you cant get the "XG thingy". Performance >>> weight Imo

does adding too much pressure do something bad at the long run?
