I also had a traumatic childhood and was physically and verbally abused constantly, I have found healing through reading the story of Joseph and the coat of many colors in the end chapters of Genesis. Joseph lost his mother at a young age, his half brothers hated him and sold him into slavery, he was promoted to only be sent to jail for false accusations, and finally through all this pain and unfairness he was made king of all the land of Egypt, and handed the ring of authority. He forgave his brothers and took them in at the end of the story. Joseph never lost hope and obedience in God and God helped him prevail. God let's bad things happen to us because he can see the end results. ❤
Come from abusive family too. Keep walking with God. He will send people and events to heal you. He himself will also let you experience His loving healing if you seek Him earnestly. It is done already your healing. You just haven’t realised it.
When he said “I don’t want to go to hell because I’m afraid of hell. And I don’t want to go to Heaven because I’m ashamed,” that grasped me. I was so self-righteous that I had fallen so low. But Christ saves. I can no longer walk without HIM.

I'm praying for you as per Romans 8:26-28, where after we have just learned that All creation is Groaning as it waits for the children of God to be revealed, Paul and the Holy Spirit say = "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with Groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit always intercedes for the saints, in accordance with God's Will. And we know that in ALL things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." I'm NOT in any way trying to be insensitive or deliver meaningless platitudes. But there are many horrors in my life as ❤️🩹 well. Sometimes, praying through His very Great & Precious Promises, in scriptures like these, from the Spirit of Truth Himself, the very one who intercedes because we DO NOT know what we ought to pray for, truly build us up and encourage us. It is often a part of His Working in us, to give us comfort in All our troubles, so that we can comfort those in ANY trouble, with the Comfort we ourselves have received from God. It's the Father's will that all be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). 1Corinthians chapter 1 isn’t about God unconditionally choosing certain people. It’s God choosing the foolishness of the cross to confound the wise. It attracts the base and the simple minds. It’s the method God chose that keeps the educated from humbling themselves. They’re too proud for such a simple method. They need to earn it. They need deep extravagant knowledge. This flies in the face of Calvinism. I believe that Paul Washer is a good man but that he’s wrong on this. He can make Calvinism sound wonderful but it’s actually one of the ugliest doctrines contrived by man. God bless.

I used to tell myself that God doesn't love someone like me, and the reason for that is because of my ongoing sin. I've hurt God a lot of time and everyday. So I said I'm not fit to stand before Him or His son Jesus Christ my Lord. But now, I've Come to Believe that God loves me so much after He delivered me from a wretched life that used to be under the control of satan and his demons. Thank God for Jesus Christ- He's still interceding on my behalf. God still loves me and He's chosen me to help working in His vineyard.

This video came at the perfect time. God has done some amazing things in my life. Bringing me out of 10+ years of heroin and alcohol addiction, then removed any desire for pornography and sexual immorality. But he has been doing even more in me. Iv been focused on God and trying to walk in the spirit. I have been on a medication for quite awhile and know I dont want to continue on it but I need Jesus to break it off of me fully. And let's be real, he gave us the ability to create in ways and addiction always starts with a choice. Just to be in the vicinity of God's love is indescribable. He let me feel His love for about 10 seconds, because I was crying to Him. I stopped crying. That was about 6 years ago, and it hasn't lost any of it's impact. Like nothing on this earth. Like Paul Washer said, He is wonderful.
When i was 16 years old and living with bad things,walked in bad ways, was a blind worshipper of idols .. One day went to church and God spoken to me that (God watches every single secret sin ) it just got me to scared and ( God forgiving you and loving you with everlasting love) this word really made me cried . I have no idea why God Chose me..but He Did..since I can remember..about six years old. He corrected me and helped me fix a mistake in first grade. He has been with me ever since. He gave me my daddy who corrected me at four years old. I remember like it was yesterday. Jesus Loves Me..He has let me make mistakes and then been with me..comforting me and guiding me through every mistake. I have learned to love Him and rely on Him. I got very confused with religion and men. He delivered me from them. He is My Only Teacher and Provider. He is The Best!
I’ve never shared the following encounter I had with God before, but I feel prompted in my spirit to share it if for nothing else to bare witness to his uncommon Love he has for us…. It was during a worship service one Sunday morning in 2019 as I sang with my eyes cast upwards to heaven and I had a vision of an extremely large hand made of thick stone (like the rock of Gibraltar) and attached to it, an arm that was robed in white laid his (left) hand upon my head and I thought it would be heavy to the point of crushing me, but amazingly it was light as a feather and as this took place the words “The hand of God is upon you” were whispered to my spirit. It moved me In such a way that I bowed my head in reverence. As I closed my eyes, in my left eyelid only, appeared a “menorah” (that’s what was spoken to me when it happened) it was partially lit (2 stems) and revealed itself in a gold so bright that it literally knocked me backwards into my seat. I immediately threw my eyes open, speechless and tried to debunk what I had just seen and could not recreate it no matter how hard I tried, and it was at that moment the power and might behind what just happened hit me and the sheer might of Gods power and light washed over me and I began to weep and pray in the spirit in such a way I never had before. All I could think to myself was why God chose to reveal himself to little old me, once a true prodigal (raised a PK kid) that found her way back broken but not destroyed by the enemy. For the longest time I struggled with feeling spiritually deficit and my inability to comprehend that God could possibly love me so deeply to have had such a personal encounter, yet it really happened in JESUS name! I have never been the same and have grasped to the best of my ability how so very much he Loves me. Yes, Uncommon Love is what I use to describe It because it is!! Gods ways aren’t our ways! Surrendering fully is a process and I disciplined myself to seek his face, one on one in prayer and worship in my secret place each and every day. Oh how he loves intimacy. My knees were created to be used for the kingdom and Gods children and a street prayer ministry was birthed from this powerful revelation from God. I picked up my cross to follow Jesus, and have learned to move when he says to move and stay when he tells me to stay as I await his instructions through the Holy Spirit and the discernment to recognize when an assignment has been placed before me and act on it. *I once read the following…. “Gods perfect will for your life is on the other side of obedience. For if we understood the weight of our assignment, we may have said no!” How true that is! Thank you for your teaching and manner in which you do so. Clearly you picked up your own cross and stepped into your calling by sharing your special gift of the spirit speaking through you. God bless you and your ministry!

I spend yesterday being viciously angry at Jesus and God. And near the end of the day when I turned on my Iphone this video showed up. My eye's filled up with tears, even though I was being a complete ungrateful punk. Jesus never gave up on me. The parable of the lost sheep was true, If a sheep leaves the pen then that shepherd will do whatever it takes to get that sheep back.

Yet, "The heart is deceptive above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9. That prayer may be from Arminianism which states that man can save himself by his free will. Calvinists say that God chooses and who can resist the Holy Spirit? Stephen told his persecutors that they do always resist the Holy Ghost. Acts 7:51. Scripture says, " The LORD is nigh cunto them that are of a broken heart and saveth them that be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18, Isaiah 57:!5, 66:2. Ask God to send the Holy Ghost to you, Luke 11:13. He will gently bring your sins to mind. This will be painful because pride hates it! As they come to mind, confess them to Jesus. Persevere. "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Ephesians 5:14. WHEN you see your desperate need for a sinless Saviour, CRY OUT to Jesus to save you. That is His desire. Then call upon the name of the Lord. How? As Peter told the Jews who were pricked in the heart. Acts 2:38 and as Paul did. Acts 22:16. They were baptized, calling on the name of the Lord. "Jesus answered and said, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. " John 3:5. John's water baptism included the confessing of sins. Mark 1:1-5. Proverbs 28:13. Jesus baptizes with the Holy Ghost. Luke 3:16. Meditate on Romans 6:3-11 and Colossians 2:6-14, Matthew 28:19-20. @@mnmnrt God created us for Heaven. We weren't meant to be sinful. We became sinful because Adam and Eve chose to be disobedient to God. They listened to Satan instead. In all likelihood, we would have chosen the same as they did. God gave us free will so that we would choose to love Him, not be a slave to Him. There had to be evil choices in order for there to be good ones.
I first heard of Paul Washer a few years ago, as a very, very immature Christian (if I even was one) when I first watched the famous ‘shocking sermon’. I can’t tell you how many times it angered me, but something made me watch it again and again; what it was doing was chipping away at my Arminian pride. Praise God alone in His grace, sovereignty & glory that I rededicated myself in baptism last summer and my wife and I are a part of the family at a solid, Reformed Baptist church. This worlds definition of a Christian is someone who believes in Christianity and that is incorrect. God’s definition of a Christian is someone who is a true disciple and who lives exactly as Jesus did. A Christian is someone who has overcome sin and sickness in this earthly life since they allowed the Holy Spirit to sanctified their heart in God’s word and truth. If you are a Christian who is sanctified in truth then you can easily discern a true Christian from an unclean believer in seconds since you possess the mind of Christ and you are able to judge everyone and everything. You can no longer sin nor can you ever get sick since you are now born of God and the devil can no longer touch you with sickness or disabilities. “Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. You understand how it took many years, endless hours of reading scripture and praying and you endured many trials that required quite a bit of faith, patience and suffering. If Jesus is your saviour, you repented and believe in him, then the Holy Spirit is in you. If you’ve done that, Now know this - He who is in you (the Holy Spirit) is greater than he who is in the world (Satan and his workers) 1 John 4:4. God is greater than the evil one and his works. May take some mental effort. Not to be saved, but to discipline your thoughts to stand in these promises. Take those thoughts captive to Christ (2 Cor 10:5). But yes satan does prowl around looking to destroy us. We need the whole armour of God. Eph 6. But this isn’t just mentally donning armour. Read all of Ephesians to see what the elements of spiritual protection are about. The armour image is by way of a summary. Read your Bible every day, asking for guidance. Be determined to do this. Satan doesn’t want you to. Pray, simply, look how simple the Lord’s Prayer is, and look at all it covers. And find a good solid local bible believing church where people can pray with you and help you in your faith, and help you on with good bible teaching. God bless and keep you brother.

I really needed to hear this. I have had a really hard time accepting love from people because of rejection issues. God has pulled some of that childhood trauma out of me and yet one thing that I can’t seem to get is His love for me. It doesn’t make sense. I always see and hear people say “we’re not worthy. We’re not good enough” and yesterday I just got so tired of hearing that. I know we’re sinners but if we weren’t worthy than why did God choose us? I know we’re sinners and YET God allowed His son to die for us. And maybe we really truly don’t deserve it, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my life feeling like I’m always the tail, the last, the trash. I want to be loved and I want to be loved by God! I think we sometimes do Satan’s job for him. I’m happy I can across this video because I needed to hear it. Maybe it’s exalting for some people to say they’re not worthy of God but when I would tell myself that, I’d always cry and feel like I have to “perform” better for Him. Augustine had a problem with boasting since we are sinful ....which is true so he reconciled it by concluding we had no part in our salvation, had no free will and that God selected ( predestined) the saved. Heres my thinking from scripture: God had a plan for salvation ( Christ crucified) from the beginning (Isaiah) and He knew who would be saved ( but did NOT select a group for salvation and damnation) God created will in us, therefore when we accept the offer of salvation, God gets the credit, because conscience and human will are completely a creation of God. And every good deed, God gets the credit, because our salvation brings God's grace, and the Holy Spirit to guide and assist us, as we remain sinful beings, prone to sin, yet have been redeemed. Faith is not works. Works has NO influence on salvation. Interesting history: Jacob Arminian, was the son- in-law of Calvin, and had followed Calvin, believed as Calvin until he looked closer at scripture. So it seems to me from reading that " predestined, " and the " elect" is a description of the saved, not a prescription of the saved. It's likely that sincere Calvinists and Arminians are probably going to meet in heaven.
I've been a Christian all my life...was born again after my husband shared the true gospel with me 14 years ago. Three years ago I was stripped of my confidence in Christ. Two years I spent with a cynical spirit hanging onto my shoulder, whispering the lie, "God does not love you." I cried myself to sleep almost every night, sucking in quiet sobs as to not wake my husband. My mind would wander for hours, unable to see how a Holy and righteous God would ever accept me, or anyone else for that matter. I believed the lie that only my brothers and sisters in persecution would be the ones to touch the Savior's face. I imagined my soul leaving its body as I woke up to the reality of eternity in eternal torment...because I was a fraud...because I have never tasted true persecution...never experienced martyrdom or anything close to it. One early morning, about a year ago, as I lie in bed, crying from the severe pain of an autoimmune disease, I wondered if I'd actually die. 'Waymaker' was playing on the laptop next to me as my husband held my hand and we cried together. I can still remember the chains falling off of me in the next moment, that cynical spirit was finally driven away at long last. I surrendered completely to Christ and my child-like faith returned in an instant. This sermon was just what I needed to hear tonight. I didn't know there were other Christians like me...the idea of facing death and being terrified of going to hell, even after being saved. My spirit is so at peace because of this message. The Lord knew the perfect timing to hear this. I'm overwhelmed by His love for me!

i know this is old but thank you for this. a 'storm tossed' believer is something that perfectly describes me recently. this morning as i lay in bed i was overwhelmed with my own selfishness and how i was placing my value and self worth in the world when i should have been listening to the one who loves me without end. its almost 6am,, i've been up since 3. i was just overwhelmed by this feeling of conviction in my thinking and tearfully remembered that i KNOW god loves me personally, because he came for me personally, and that he DIED for me... me personally! that ALTHOUGH I AM a sinner, that he would do these things for me because his love is faithful and endures. i'm sure others understand what i'm saying, because he has come for them on a personal level as well. if you're an unbeliever and you want to know truly if god is real, i ask that you seek him with and honest heart and open mind. i promise he will reveal himself to you, in a way personal to you, and it will be the start of a life changing relationship.

Some people foolishly claim that God allows people to get sick in order to display His glory and they often use the scripture in John 9 about the man being born blind. The disciples already knew that sin was the reason that the man was born blind but they wanted Jesus to pinpoint who’s sin actually caused the blindness. Jesus did not desire to pinpoint who’s sin caused the disability to His disciples and so He simply made a generalization statement that told them how things were going to turn out so that God could be glorified. Just ask yourself this one question. Why would a God who loves you and who desires to heal you want to make you sick to begin with? By claiming that God allows someone to get sick simply to display His glory you are then trying to say that God makes people sick simply to show off! Now do you honestly believe that our loving God is that cold hearted that He would make someone sick simply to get others to see the wonders that He could do? Do you honestly believe that God does that kind of thing simply to get people to believe in Him! Well if you do then tell me why Jesus told doubting Thomas “blessed are they that have not seen and yet believe?” If you believe that God allows sickness to display His glory then you are just an ignorant soul who is trying to justify the sin and sickness in your life. Sickness is definitely a curse and you can read Deuteronomy 28:15-68 to prove my point. Scripture told us the reason why a child may be born blind, sick or whatever. It was because the parents were not following what God commanded of them and so they were living in sin. When parents live in sin they then give Satan and his demons the ability to infect their children with whatever sickness or disability they desire. What foolish doctors like to call hereditary or genetics is actually nothing more then a parent’s sins being passed onto their children through a demon spirit. Look here: “And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:6-7 NKJV Many others foolishly believe that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness and these people clearly prove that they do not understand God or scripture. What does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. Just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit. If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone think that he was someone who had sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did no harm to him how could anyone possibly believe that Paul was someone who could then get sick himself? Many people are very misguided when it comes to their understanding of scripture and they do not understand that an infirmity means a physical weakness or ailment and it is not an actual sickness. “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” II Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV Now allow me to give you a couple of other scriptures that misguided souls often like to use. (1 Timothy 5:23 and Galatians 4:13.) Realize that most of these people are probably reading from a bible version that has translated the word infirmity into meaning a sickness. Look here: “Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often.” 1 Timothy 5:23 NLT “No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.” I Timothy 5:23 NKJV “Surely you remember that I was sick when I first brought you the Good News.” Galatians 4:13 NLT “You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first.” Galatians 4:13 NKJV There are over 2000 different bible versions that all have different words with different meanings and this is what is leading many of you astray. Once again, an infirmity means a physical weakness but yet certain bible versions have translated this to mean a sickness. This is why the only truthful way for you to gain your knowledge of scripture is to learn it directly from Jesus Himself through testing the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. Next, some misguided soul said to me that scripture clearly states that God makes people sick and they offered this scripture below: “The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:11-12 NIV So if you read this version of the Bible, yes it does state that God makes human beings blind, deaf or mute. But know I want to give you another Bible version and show you how it reads: “So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.” Exodus 4:11-12 NKJV When you read this version it is not stating that God made them mute, deaf or blind but that God made the individual, whether they were someone who was deaf, mute or blind. God is not saying that He inflicted the disability on them. God loves you and He wants you to be healthy for He is the God who heals you. So once again, why would a loving God who loves you and heals you want to make you sick? There are also many ignorant souls who try to use Job as an example for possessing sickness in their lives. Was Job a righteous man? Yes Job did live righteously but they overlook some very important things. Job was also born in ignorance and in sin just as we all are. These foolish people reveal that they do not even understand the difference between the Old and the New Covenant since Job was from the Old Covenant where there was no forgiveness of sins since Jesus had not come yet so Job still possessed his sins. And finally, someone stated that they believe that God does heal but that His healing was not for everyone. Again this person and their logic makes absolutely zero sense. Scripture clearing states that we are not to show partially or favoritism and that to do so is a sin. So why would God then sin by showing favoritism or partiality by picking and choosing who He desires to heal? Jesus healed everyone who came to Him for healing and His apostles also did the same. “And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, AND THEY WERE ALL HEALED.” Acts 5:14-16 NKJV So I have now given you many examples of how misguided believers are and how they cannot comprehend that God’s healing is for everyone! Most simply will not accept the truth that it is sin that brings sickness into their lives and this is why they are destined to spend a very long eternity in hell. Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.” Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness. Now go back and reread the Exodus 34 scripture above and maybe you might begin to understand why it is sin that allows sickness into your life and the life of your children. God commanded us to overcome sin and I can testify that I am someone who has and this is why I can never get sick ever again. “Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” John 5:14 NKJV

I also had a traumatic childhood and was physically and verbally abused constantly, I have found healing through reading the story of Joseph and the coat of many colors in the end chapters of Genesis. Joseph lost his mother at a young age, his half brothers hated him and sold him into slavery, he was promoted to only be sent to jail for false accusations, and finally through all this pain and unfairness he was made king of all the land of Egypt, and handed the ring of authority. He forgave his brothers and took them in at the end of the story. Joseph never lost hope and obedience in God and God helped him prevail. God let's bad things happen to us because he can see the end results. ❤

1Corinthians chapter 1 isn’t about God unconditionally choosing certain people. It’s God choosing the foolishness of the cross to confound the wise. It attracts the base and the simple minds. It’s the method God chose that keeps the educated from humbling themselves. They’re too proud for such a simple method. They need to earn it. They need deep extravagant knowledge.

I used to tell myself that God doesn't love someone like me, and the reason for that is because of my ongoing sin. I've hurt God a lot of time and everyday. This video came at the perfect time. God has done some amazing things in my life. Bringing me out of 10+ years of heroin and alcohol addiction, then removed any desire for pornography and sexual immorality. But he has been doing even more in me. Iv been focused on God and trying to walk in the spirit. I have been on a medication for quite awhile and know I dont want to continue on it but I need Jesus to break it off of me fully. I’ve never shared the following encounter I had with God before, but I feel prompted in my spirit to share it if for nothing else to bare witness to his uncommon Love he has for us….
It was during a worship service one Sunday morning in 2019 as I sang with my eyes cast upwards to heaven and I had a vision of an extremely large hand made of thick stone (like the rock of Gibraltar) and attached to it, an arm that was robed in white laid his (left) hand upon my head and I thought it would be heavy to the point of crushing me, but amazingly it was light as a feather and as this took place the words “The hand of God is upon you” were whispered to my spirit. It moved me In such a way that I bowed my head in reverence. As I closed my eyes, in my left eyelid only, appeared a “menorah” (that’s what was spoken to me when it happened) it was partially lit (2 stems) and revealed itself in a gold so bright that it literally knocked me backwards into my seat. I immediately threw my eyes open, speechless and tried to debunk what I had just seen and could not recreate it no matter how hard I tried, and it was at that moment the power and might behind what just happened hit me and the sheer might of Gods power and light washed over me and I began to weep and pray in the spirit in such a way I never had before. All I could think to myself was why God chose to reveal himself to little old me, once a true prodigal (raised a PK kid) that found her way back broken but not destroyed by the enemy. For the longest time I struggled with feeling spiritually deficit and my inability to comprehend that God could possibly love me so deeply to have had such a personal encounter, yet it really happened in JESUS name! I have never been the same and have grasped to the best of my ability how so very much he Loves me. Yes, Uncommon Love is what I use to describe It because it is!!

Surrendering fully is a process and I disciplined myself to seek his face, one on one in prayer and worship in my secret place each and every day. Oh how he loves intimacy. My knees were created to be used for the kingdom and Gods children and a street prayer ministry was birthed from this powerful revelation from God. I picked up my cross to follow Jesus, and have learned to move when he says to move and stay when he tells me to stay as I await his instructions through the Holy Spirit and the discernment to recognize when an assignment has been placed before me and act on it.

That prayer may be from Arminianism which states that man can save himself by his free will. Calvinists say that God chooses and who can resist the Holy Spirit? Stephen told his persecutors that they do always resist the Holy Ghost. Acts 7:51.
Scripture says, " The LORD is nigh cunto them that are of a broken heart and saveth them that be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18, Isaiah 57:!5, 66:2.

@@mnmnrt God created us for Heaven. We weren't meant to be sinful. We became sinful because Adam and Eve chose to be disobedient to God. They listened to Satan instead. In all likelihood, we would have chosen the same as they did. God gave us free will so that we would choose to love Him, not be a slave to Him. I first heard of Paul Washer a few years ago, as a very, very immature Christian (if I even was one) when I first watched the famous ‘shocking sermon’. A Christian is someone who has overcome sin and sickness in this earthly life since they allowed the Holy Spirit to sanctified their heart in God’s word and truth. If you are a Christian who is sanctified in truth then you can easily discern a true Christian from an unclean believer in seconds since you possess the mind of Christ and you are able to judge everyone and everything. You can no longer sin nor can you ever get sick since you are now born of God and the devil can no longer touch you with sickness or disabilities.

But yes satan does prowl around looking to destroy us. We need the whole armour of God. Eph 6. But this isn’t just mentally donning armour. Read all of Ephesians to see what the elements of spiritual protection are about. The armour image is by way of a summary.
Read your Bible every day, asking for guidance. Be determined to do this. Satan doesn’t want you to. Pray, simply, look how simple the Lord’s Prayer is, and look at all it covers. And find a good solid local bible believing church where people can pray with you and help you in your faith, and help you on with good bible teaching.

I really needed to hear this. I have had a really hard time accepting love from people because of rejection issues. God has pulled some of that childhood trauma out of me and yet one thing that I can’t seem to get is His love for me. It doesn’t make sense. I always see and hear people say “we’re not worthy. We’re not good enough” and yesterday I just got so tired of hearing that. I know we’re sinners but if we weren’t worthy than why did God choose us? I know we’re sinners and YET God allowed His son to die for us. And maybe we really truly don’t deserve it, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my life feeling like I’m always the tail, the last, the trash. I want to be loved and I want to be loved by God! I think we sometimes do Satan’s job for him. I’m happy I can across this video because I needed to hear it. Maybe it’s exalting for some people to say they’re not worthy of God but when I would tell myself that, I’d always cry and feel like I have to “perform” better for Him. All of this is rootrf in the concept from scripture of,
" boasting." Augustine had a problem with boasting since we are sinful ....which is true so he reconciled it by concluding we had no part in our salvation, had no free will and that God selected ( predestined) the saved.
Heres my thinking from scripture: God had a plan for salvation ( Christ crucified) from the beginning (Isaiah) and He knew who would be saved ( but did NOT select a group for salvation and damnation)
God created will in us, therefore when we accept the offer of salvation, God gets the credit, because conscience and human will are completely a creation of God. And every good deed, God gets the credit, because our salvation brings God's grace, and the Holy Spirit to guide and assist us, as we remain sinful beings, prone to sin, yet have been redeemed.
Faith is not works. Works has NO influence on salvation.
Interesting history: Jacob Arminian, was the son- in-law of Calvin, and had followed Calvin, believed as Calvin until he looked closer at scripture.
So it seems to me from reading that " predestined, "
and the " elect" is a description of the saved, not a prescription of the saved.
It's likely that sincere Calvinists and Arminians are probably going to meet in heaven.

I've been a Christian all my life...was born again after my husband shared the true gospel with me 14 years ago. Three years ago I was stripped of my confidence in Christ. Two years I spent with a cynical spirit hanging onto my shoulder, whispering the lie, "God does not love you." I cried myself to sleep almost every night, sucking in quiet sobs as to not wake my husband. My mind would wander for hours, unable to see how a Holy and righteous God would ever accept me, or anyone else for that matter. I believed the lie that only my brothers and sisters in persecution would be the ones to touch the Savior's face. I imagined my soul leaving its body as I woke up to the reality of eternity in eternal torment...because I was a fraud...because I have never tasted true persecution...never experienced martyrdom or anything close to it. One early morning, about a year ago, as I lie in bed, crying from the severe pain of an autoimmune disease, I wondered if I'd actually die. 'Waymaker' was playing on the laptop next to me as my husband held my hand and we cried together. I can still remember the chains falling off of me in the next moment, that cynical spirit was finally driven away at long last. I surrendered completely to Christ and my child-like faith returned in an instant. This sermon was just what I needed to hear tonight. I didn't know there were other Christians like me...the idea of facing death and being terrified of going to hell, even after being saved. My spirit is so at peace because of this message. The Lord knew the perfect timing to hear this. I'm overwhelmed by His love for me!
I needed to hear this today, brought me to tears as I sit here at work. I was in the exact same position, afraid to go to hell and too ashamed to go to heaven. It is so freeing to know our Father loves us!!!

i know this is old but thank you for this. a 'storm tossed' believer is something that perfectly describes me recently. this morning as i lay in bed i was overwhelmed with my own selfishness and how i was placing my value and self worth in the world when i should have been listening to the one who loves me without end. its almost 6am,, i've been up since 3. i was just overwhelmed by this feeling of conviction in my thinking and tearfully remembered that i KNOW god loves me personally, because he came for me personally, and that he DIED for me... me personally! that ALTHOUGH I AM a sinner, that he would do these things for me because his love is faithful and endures. i'm sure others understand what i'm saying, because he has come for them on a personal level as well. if you're an unbeliever and you want to know truly if god is real, i ask that you seek him with and honest heart and open mind. i promise he will reveal himself to you, in a way personal to you, and it will be the start of a life changing relationship.
I have been battling a lot today in my head! Feeling unworthy and fear, which I know is not from God. But it was really dragging me down. This video is EXACTLY what I needed right now. Thank you Pastor Paul. May God continue blessing his children through this message.

The internet is filled with billions of ignorant souls who believe that they are Christians. They are eagerly writing their misguided beliefs all over the place and they are constantly trying to prove each other wrong in regards to scripture. Many are even starting their own channels or ministries since they are claiming that are hearing from God or that God has given them a prophetic dream. Some are even on the streets claiming that they were sent by God in order to lead people to Jesus. Well guess what? They are all wrong and they are simply misguided souls who are being led astray by the devil.
So what is it that most are missing? Well the majority of people who claim to be Christian here on the Internet are nothing more then misguided believers who follow the devil’s lies and suggestions. That’s right, they are following the devil’s lies since they possess very little knowledge in regards to God and scripture.
This worlds definition of a Christian is someone who believes in Christianity and that is incorrect. God’s definition of a Christian is someone who is a true disciple and who lives exactly as Jesus did. A Christian is someone who has overcome sin and sickness in this earthly life since they allowed the Holy Spirit to sanctified their heart in God’s word and truth. If you are a Christian who is sanctified in truth then you can easily discern a true Christian from an unclean believer in seconds since you possess the mind of Christ and you are able to judge everyone and everything. You can no longer sin nor can you ever get sick since you are now born of God and the devil can no longer touch you with sickness or disabilities.

Some people foolishly claim that God allows people to get sick in order to display His glory and they often use the scripture in John 9 about the man being born blind.
The disciples already knew that sin was the reason that the man was born blind but they wanted Jesus to pinpoint who’s sin actually caused the blindness. Jesus did not desire to pinpoint who’s sin caused the disability to His disciples and so He simply made a generalization statement that told them how things were going to turn out so that God could be glorified. Just ask yourself this one question. Why would a God who loves you and who desires to heal you want to make you sick to begin with? By claiming that God allows someone to get sick simply to display His glory you are then trying to say that God makes people sick simply to show off! Now do you honestly believe that our loving God is that cold hearted that He would make someone sick simply to get others to see the wonders that He could do? Do you honestly believe that God does that kind of thing simply to get people to believe in Him! Well if you do then tell me why Jesus told doubting Thomas “blessed are they that have not seen and yet believe?” If you believe that God allows sickness to display His glory then you are just an ignorant soul who is trying to justify the sin and sickness in your life. Sickness is definitely a curse and you can read Deuteronomy 28:15-68 to prove my point.
Scripture told us the reason why a child may be born blind, sick or whatever. It was because the parents were not following what God commanded of them and so they were living in sin. When parents live in sin they then give Satan and his demons the ability to infect their children with whatever sickness or disability they desire. What foolish doctors like to call hereditary or genetics is actually nothing more then a parent’s sins being passed onto their children through a demon spirit. Look here:
“And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

Many others foolishly believe that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness and these people clearly prove that they do not understand God or scripture. What does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. Just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit. If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone think that he was someone who had sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did no harm to him how could anyone possibly believe that Paul was someone who could then get sick himself? Many people are very misguided when it comes to their understanding of scripture and they do not understand that an infirmity means a physical weakness or ailment and it is not an actual sickness.
“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Now allow me to give you a couple of other scriptures that misguided souls often like to use. (1 Timothy 5:23 and Galatians 4:13.) Realize that most of these people are probably reading from a bible version that has translated the word infirmity into meaning a sickness. Look here:

There are over 2000 different bible versions that all have different words with different meanings and this is what is leading many of you astray. Once again, an infirmity means a physical weakness but yet certain bible versions have translated this to mean a sickness. This is why the only truthful way for you to gain your knowledge of scripture is to learn it directly from Jesus Himself through testing the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4.
Next, some misguided soul said to me that scripture clearly states that God makes people sick and they offered this scripture below:
“The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
Exodus 4:11-12 NIV
So if you read this version of the Bible, yes it does state that God makes human beings blind, deaf or mute. But know I want to give you another Bible version and show you how it reads:
“So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
Exodus 4:11-12 NKJV
When you read this version it is not stating that God made them mute, deaf or blind but that God made the individual, whether they were someone who was deaf, mute or blind. God is not saying that He inflicted the disability on them. God loves you and He wants you to be healthy for He is the God who heals you. So once again, why would a loving God who loves you and heals you want to make you sick?
There are also many ignorant souls who try to use Job as an example for possessing sickness in their lives. Was Job a righteous man? Yes Job did live righteously but they overlook some very important things. Job was also born in ignorance and in sin just as we all are. These foolish people reveal that they do not even understand the difference between the Old and the New Covenant since Job was from the Old Covenant where there was no forgiveness of sins since Jesus had not come yet so Job still possessed his sins.
And finally, someone stated that they believe that God does heal but that His healing was not for everyone. Again this person and their logic makes absolutely zero sense. Scripture clearing states that we are not to show partially or favoritism and that to do so is a sin. So why would God then sin by showing favoritism or partiality by picking and choosing who He desires to heal? Jesus healed everyone who came to Him for healing and His apostles also did the same.
“And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, AND THEY WERE ALL HEALED.”
Acts 5:14-16 NKJV
So I have now given you many examples of how misguided believers are and how they cannot comprehend that God’s healing is for everyone! Most simply will not accept the truth that it is sin that brings sickness into their lives and this is why they are destined to spend a very long eternity in hell.
Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”
Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness. Now go back and reread the Exodus 34 scripture above and maybe you might begin to understand why it is sin that allows sickness into your life and the life of your children. God commanded us to overcome sin and I can testify that I am someone who has and this is why I can never get sick ever again.
“Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”

You can no longer sin nor can you ever get sick since you are now born of God and the devil can no longer touch you with sickness or disabilities.
