Steve didn't say shit! He knew it has never been done. Although someone did get 187 and someone else got them all 1st round, so it has been done before, but those were 1st rounders, no where near as intense as the 2nd round.

Steve did a good deed by not telling Meg how many points she needed before she took her turn. It turns out that strategy made her much less worried, therefore allowing her to make a massive comeback in Fast Money. To top it all off, she was rated the number one comeback. Anymore doubt pretty likely would’ve thrown the round away.
Some people thrive better under more pressure. So we can't say that for sure. Anyway it worked out for the better in this case.
@@gokulhemanthkumar4556 You’re absolutely right. Some people do find it more fun with pressure, and they perhaps perform better with it. However, the pressure in this case was clearly a worry, and this Fast Money could’ve been rough.
I think Steve genuinely roots for people. He acts goofy all show long, but on Fast Money, it's always game face and good words.

The best part of each featured fast money is when you see the families rejoicing for winning the prize. I can't help but smile when I see those moments.

Not really, because on the other hand, if the first answerer provides a bunch of weird answers, then the 2nd one will in fact have a much easier time of it, because it's much less likely they'll get the buzzer for saying the same thing the first person said, and also because the #1 answers are still unclaimed and available. It's just as important to come up with A high ranking answer that isn't the #1 one, because what if both people, the only answers they can come up with that are decent at all are the #1 ones, then they're going to lose.
It took a collective team effort to get to Fast Money though...

In the game where Shirley scored 197 points on her own and missed a single #1 answer, her daughter proceeded to repeat all of Shirley's #1 answers along with the #1 for the one Shirley missed. This score would've resulted in either 198 or 199 points if she went first, but we'll never know. And just for the record, it's impossible for one person alone to score 200+ in the modern version of the game.

I am a huge fan of Mr Steve - for many reasons. One of them being how he really cares about people. He proves that on the Feud by being so invested in the families. He really wants them to win!!!

One thing these all have in common is that they each have at least a couple of questions with a minimal amount of possible answers, thus guaranteeing a large number for the #1 answer. If you watch the ones where they fall short, all the questions have a ton of possible answers.
