I'll never forget that Deion interception and dancing all the way to the endzone. One of my most vivid football memories still to this day. I forgot that we were fighting for 1st place in the NFC West that game. What a season 94 was!

@@grinningchicken I believe Deion has admitted that he was ring chasing at the time. So he signed a 1 year deal with the niners and then Jerry dropped the bag the next year and he was gone.

The 1994 49ers were like a superteam. Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young. The greatest Wide Receiver of all time Jerry Rice. The greatest cornerback of all time Deion Sanders.
Also one of only two teams to have both the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
The other is the 1986 Giants who had Lawrence Taylor win both awards.
Don't forget about Bryant Young and Rickey Jackson on defense. They are both in the HOF as well.

The only thing I don't like about Sanders was the fact that the 49ers didn't keep him beyond the one season he was there. He, for sure, is the greatest CB I've ever seen.
Deion doing his thing out there, I love it! Also, the Falcons never should have ditched that Logo and those uniforms. Much, MUCH better than what they have now.
They shoulda just did a modern version of the original red & whites w the current logo & made the black ones the alternates w the throwback logo. An this is coming from a falcons fan
1994 49ers are one of the most underrated teams ever. They pulverized teams. Most people think of the 1984 or 89 teams than this one.
Because they cheated the cap and needed Emmitt Smith to pop both his hamstrings to finally scale Mt. Dallas.

They are not better than either of those teams. The 89 teams postseason point differential is absurd.

The 49ers said that this game & The Lions game the previous week was when the 94 team began to settle themselves. The defense got used to each other & the offensive line recovered from early injuries.
I love that two guys can throw fist, and nobody gets ejected, football is still a hard sport, but it is getting softer and softer as time goes on.

Mainly I think it was because the 90's and you can get away with 100 times more stuff & they were also both superstars. But you're right. In today's game they would even throw out the Superstars. Glad they didn't because we would've never gotten the Iconic Deion interception.
Football is a business and at the end of the day sponsors don't want their products associated with assault. Most people also watch to see the pinnacle of football not brawls
SUPERB. Thanks boss for the spotlight. Any 80's or 90's game you do from this era, and I'll definitely be in my box seat. Especially a 49ers game. Didn't think you'd do this one, so this is a wonderful surprise for my weekend. Deion had his best year as a pro, and really helped the squad get past Dallas. In Atlanta, the game was basically over when the 2nd quarter started hee haw. Loved how stacked we were then. Cheers mate :D

Thanks for the video NFL Throwback! The fight between Deion Sanders and Andre Rison was the highlight we all remember from this game. Does anyone happen to know any full games back during the 1990, 1991, 1992, or 1993 regular seasons that had a fight or brawl break out?
I’m an Atlanta native. I was 15 at the time. I still have that game on VHS, somewhere. Leading up to that game, I was SO hyped. The Falcons got their assess whipped, of course. We knew that, but it was all about Deion Sanders returning to The Georgia Dome vs. his old team.
The fight between him and Andre Rison was one thing. The pick-six with him looking at the Falcons sideline all the way to the end zone was epic and savage at the same time.

I know we talk about Deion mainly as a Cowboy but 49ers Deion is, without a doubt, his absolute best. His 94 season is barely mentioned in regards to the greatest season for a CB & defensive players, in general. In regards to Greatest DB seasons - 2006 Champ, 2009 Revis, 1994 Deion.
Kudos to the officials for not throwing out Rison or Sanders. I know Terry Bradshaw lost his mind during half time on Fox but stars get different treatment.

I remember this game because the over was 46 1/2. Was counting my money with 9:30 left in the third quarter, since it had to go over. Not a single point was scored after that. Still can’t believe that.
