Alternatively, if you aren't super into the faith aspect: a level 150 Str Focus version with a Confessor class start: 60 vig 18 mind 30 endur 60 str 18 dex 9 int 25 faith (still cast GV and FGS) 9 Arc would give a Fire Affinity Fire Knight Greatsword a base AR of 884. Run the same talismans, and can afford to hit heavier armor if want since you have an extra 5 in Endurance. For reference: your current setup gives a Base AR of 879 on the weapon and then your seal would be an AR of 260 ish.

is fire damage worth it? ive been eyeing str/faith for a while but i was scared it wouldnt be as good as my bleed frost dex/arc build. really wanna try it but dont wanna ruin my chances of beating bosses!
@@somersaultinggiraffe1901 I wouldn’t agree. Every status has its place but to say fire is better than a 20% damage debuff on the enemy or that bleed procs are not as good is a stretch imo
Im not sure why I’ve been farming the mage at the storehouse site of grace but I can’t get him to drop the weapon, I used the silver pickled foot to boost item discovery but I can’t lmao
There are too many fire based mobs in DLC to choose the fire element as primary source of power. That's like fighting the fire giant boss with this build doesn't make sense. I would stay away from the fire and lighting and maybe even holy base elements as build and stick to the other like ice, o bleed or even poison.
@@pastorgainzgames Naw I'm good your build is probably good but that's all I see is fire builds for a dlc that has alot of fire base mobs/boss or at very least resistant to them. And you do run out at some point of larva tears.
to my knowledge the only ash of wars it works on is eruption, taker's flame (BB ash of war), magmawyrm sword ash of war, magma blade spinning slash, and the candlestick

I reccomend Messmers helm over Winged Serpent. You lose 2% damage to the aow but gain 3-4% on your incants. But it depends what you use more of
I thought the Winged serpent helm did more damage.

Messmers Helm is 8% to Fire Knight skills AND 3% to Messmer Incantations

So there isn’t much better than bleed and frost to be honest but u will do a lot of damage with fire to certain bosses

U have to make sure the knight is holding the fire sword that you are farming. If he is not they won't drop it. also the drop rate is rough

Yeah You just won't do as much fire damage, Also make sure you don't lose the fire damage upon heavy infusion
I quilled a million of those damn fire knights and they STILL won’t drop me that sword, gave me the little one though lol
Also if you alter the Fire Knight armor the drip becomes immaculate

I say to each their own. I think thats why larval tears exist. Just swap builds when it calls for it
