Good to see Mullins maybe coming out of his funk. Kimbrel looked good. Why Hyde brought in Webb, who pitched Friday (and not well) , is beyond me.
Very bad bullpen usage IMO today which won’t go very noticed because wins cover everything up. But if you want to get kimbrel back out there after a 5 day layoff fine, but bring him in for the 7th. Then once it’s the 8th and Irvin is cruising, why take him out in the 9th? He’s a starter who can go 4+ innings. If he gets in a bit of trouble in the 9th sure pull him, but why not let him just finish the game off when you’re up 3?
@@alexkuhn1451clubhouse politics. Kimbrel was brought in to be our closer and Hyde wants him in that role. You give him the chance to earn back that role with 3-run differential save chances like this one.
Gunner gets double plays and homeruns nearly every game, its insane.

What about Corbin Burnes. Been as advertised. We finally got him some run support. Starting pitching overall has been good but bullpen is little worrisome as they make me nervous still.
Pin is weakest link no question.

I agree about the playing status of Jorge Mateo. If he hits above .250, he is a plus WAR player predicated on his elite speed and defense. The Orioles already have the best defense in the majors and if they can get the offense back to where it was in early April…..look out!

The Orioles are in a fight for first place, you would think the seats would be full but it's so dang expensive to go to a game many people can't afford the enjoyment of watching their home team.
I agree the seats should be full, but tickets are like $15 on stubhub, you can park three blocks away for $9, and you can bring any food and unopened drinks that you want into the stadium... not sure how it can be any cheaper.
It's very affordable. What exactly is "so dang expensive"? It's like the same price as a movie ticket.

Hard to put into words how valuable a player like Mateo is given his defensive abilities and speed on the bases. If he continues to swing a nice bat gonna be tough to keep him out of lineup. Love the problem O’s have, too many good players and not enough positions😂

we hvaent seen a strikeout day like this for Burnes since opening day. hopefully we can see more of this because its the only thing keeping him from Cy Young favorability

We already have a good enough team that should go deep into the playoffs and I believe world series and I don't see any other reason the next few years definitely contenders for the world series
Mateo low key ballin right now
I know a lot of fans are worried about the bullpen, and I understand why, but when you look at the guys getting the most innings, nearly everyone out there has a sub-3.50 ERA. Of the guys who actually have 10 IP or more, only Kimbrel has a worse ERA at 3.63. This bullpen is pretty good honestly. We just lack the absolute shutdown guy that gives you the confidence that its over before it starts. I'd be willing to give up a prospect for a guy like that.

i would not put it past MR KIMBREL to turn into a beast before all is said and done with the o's in 2024. it's a long season, lots of ups and downs to be had all around and chances to show up. things look pretty good, even better than last year. try not to let it stress you, sit back and enjoy the ride. Bullpen tried to give away another win.
Here we go again with the strike outs. We seem to have trouble hitting breaking balls so will see more of them. Plate discipline was not good. The Mariners were off in this series. You can't beat good teams making mistakes and errors on defense.
Henderson gonna reach at least 50 home runs this year
