Welcome back, good reaction. You were right, the sing-along "whooa" section was very much extended for this performance - it was only the third time they'd played it live but the first time at one of their big arena concerts (first time was in Brixton, London, second time was a small concert for fan club members) plus it was the finale.
This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and, as you saw, that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits).
This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world.
About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way.
It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow.
There is no other band quite like BABYMETAL, they are both original and unique.
Any similarity to DragonForce was not a coincidence. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song and recorded the guitars for the album version (it is the only one they were involved in - BABYMETAL do have a handful of power/speed metal songs, but they do so much more and have songs in virtually every metal genre and with other musical styles and genres mixed or blended in). They even played it live with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later that year.
This was the Kami Band (all male - and the very best session musicians to be found in Japan) playing live of course, you hadn't seen or heard them yet since the 'Gimme Chocolate' video was filmed before they became the full time support for all live shows and the audio on that video was from the studio recording.
For this performance the Kami Band were - on guitars Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura with BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.
Kami means god or spirit, so in BABYMETAL lore they are the gods of guitar, bass and drums summoned from the dead to support BABYMETAL in the Metal Resistance ... hence the traditional white burial robes and corpse face paint (and for guitarist Leda and drummer Hideki also the long black wigs).
Su-metal is lead vocalist so yes she does the vast majority of the singing, but you may not have picked up on some harmonies Yuimetal and Moametal were adding as well as their own backing vocal lines (which are the lines the crowd will sing along with rather than singing Su's lines, which would be a rude thing to do in Japan - Yui and Moa (now Moa and Momoko) sing the parts the crowd can join in with).
Their main function other than the backing vocals is the choreo, but that is not just the meaningless dancing to the rhythm of a song that you may know from dancers in pop acts etc - their choreo is bespoke and helps with interpreting the meaning of the song or a lyric. More importantly they lead the crowd and act as the bridge between the band and the crowd, giving them their cues when to jump, pump their fists, chant, sing along or whatever. They are an essential part of what BABYMETAL are and what makes BABYMETAL stand out from pretty much every other band.
At the end Su was shouting "We are", Yui, Moa and the crowd answering "BABYMETAL" (a couple of minutes of that as they went to two smaller stages either side of the main stage was cut out for this video) and at the end again Su was not singing or flat, she was shouting "We are" and then shouting again to the crowd to "Put up the fox sign"🦊

Choreography is about as big as part of the Babymetal performance as Su's lead singing and the songs themselves, so it does make sense her flanking dancers don't have to do much singing. They're all fan favorites of course so the times we DO get a bit more backup or harmony parts by them it's exciting haha.
A random anecdote. I'm 47 and my wife and I saw them live back to back in Texas last year and they were the wildest shows of my life! A trade off of them not being able to bring their huge production sets overseas is that you can end up close to them. We were maybe 6 feet from the stage in Dallas and their stage presence and confidence is something I could actually feel. It's wild to me watching these "old" videos seeing how professional and put together and prepared they always looked on stage as kids. But now in their mid 20s they've just leveled up that stage presence! Su's voice live boomed into my chest. She always had great range and power but now she's added so much to her repertoire, not just because she's grown out of her child voice.
The dancing now is even more complicated, tight, quick movements blended with such smooth graceful moments. Watching just that up close live is mezmerizing, they're so perfectly in sync for every song in every show.
Their extreme hard work is evident to me, and they're the most entertaining fun act I've ever seen!

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。The crowd involvement (circle pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. This anthemic song was played in their almost every show (either in their headline or in huge festival) The audience reaction is always similar to it in this video.
In your video, Su shouted some words at 18:54 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She has shouted it occasionally since then and when she does, it is with her friendly smile and matured mild voice that I love 😄

I understand a three minute wow-wow section feels long when streaming, but I have experienced this song (finale to an hour and a half concert with no intermissions) live couple of times, but wanted to wow with them forever. I guess it is difficult to convey that "live" feeling in a recording.
Look forward to more BABYMETAL reactions.

    Good one, thanks!
Yes all of them have click and cue tracks on their IEM. Appreciate you noticed that detail, it's probably obvious for musicians and singers but it usually goes unnoticed.
Takeru Youda aka TAKEMETAL did the screams on their second album, Metal Resistance, as he mentioned on his social media. So, he is probably in a backing track here.
The extended chanting section is not part of the studio version as well as the extended outro which was cut short here actually.
Su's yelling "We are!" during the outro is not part of the song... she's just yelling their usual outro which is actually one of their many homages to X-Japan. The band is just doing some improvised chaotic random stuff... sometimes they even play Van Halen's "Eruption" guitar solo. And I'm sure that Su doesn't intend to hit any specific note. 😅
I love this performance for one simple reason: Su-metal. She's 100% focus and was on fire during the second half of the song and she even verbalized it by yelling "Kakatte koi yaa!" ("Bring it on!"). She admitted years later that that moment over the bridge with all the crowd chanting along was one of her favorite moments on stage.
Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) is the lead singer and Yui (at the time, now Momoko) and Moa do the backing vocals, chants, most of the choreography and are responsible for most of the crowd interaction. Their work is very important, and even more so knowing the drama that Yui's departure caused. Keep in mind that in Japan is impolite to sing along the main vocalist, so their chants and parts are basically essential for crowd participation. Their songs are tailored with all this in mind.
I'd like to suggest you something more recent: "Divine Attack" (Live at PIA Arena 2023): czcams.com/video/2WOHKe_4Fls/video.html

Su.. 17. Lead vocal. Queen Su. You better do what she tell you, or she'll throw you her death stare. Road of Resistance tends to be the last song, but they don't repeat setlists frequently... even if they do 2+ days in the same venue.
The East Kami band are all session musicians - Leda(G), Ohumura(G), Boh(B) and Hideki(D) and all incredible musicians. And yes.. the Dragonforce vibes are there because Herman and Sam wrote guitar parts.
Lets talk about Boh - the bass player.
Unique Godlike beast. No matter what, he was always heard. Newer bassists are good also, but lately bass is more blended in and mushy. People say it makes sense in newer Babymetal, I actually miss Boh's sound, accuracy and presence. Always comes down to preference. And because I play bass.. it was actually his playing that made me try and retry Babymetal. Then I fell in love with the concept and the 3 queens.
    Thank you for your reaction!

audience participation is a top priority at every BM concert. It's one thing that sets them apart from other acts. This band was invented by Kobametal because as a long time metal fan, he'd come to the conclusion that metal music was in a rut and needed something fresh and new, which turned out to be young women, or in Japan, "Idols" singing along with the metal music. Yes, the band is top tier talented, but what makes this act stand out are the 3 girls (later, women), their stage presence/charisma, and audience participation. Not to mention terrifically well written music and production values. To see their latest work, watch their collaborations with Electric Callboy (Ratatata), F. Hero/Bodyslam (Leave it All Behind), and Bring Me the Horizon (Kingslayer). To see their very first hit song (performed when the girls were ages 13 and 11) watch Doki Doki Morning.

Awesome! Herman Li and Sam Totman played the guitars for the studio recording, so definitely very "Dragonforce-y" 🤣. The Kami Band are absolutely insane session players and have been backing Babymetal fully since 2014. Starting 2019, Babymetal added 4 US players (Kami West), and these guys are now the sole backing band for Babymetal since Apr 2023. This performance was the live debut in Japan in Jan 2015 (original live debut was in O2 Academy Brixton, London, end of 2014), and the song has been a staple show closer even to this day.
You're right on the audience segments, those are absolutely extended for the live (vs studio). In fact, Babymetal builds audience engagement segments into many of their songs. This was the final song of the setlist, and yeah, they were going hard for all 16 songs!
    *Suggestions:*
*_Metali (Legend MM):_* Groovy festival song with Tom Morello on guitar solos. Use "For The Fox God" Channel for a good version with Kami West intro solos. This was Mar 2024's show, for new 3rd member Momometal's 21st birthday.
*_Monochrome (Pia Arena MM):_* Apr 2023 show, and an amazing melodic and heartfelt performance.
*_Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014):_* Kami East solos + Su-metal solo, and a dark and heavy song about loosing the fight to an unseen monster.

Su-metal is the lead vocalist and does most of the singing. The amount the others sing varies from song to song. At the time of this show in January 2015, Su-metal was 17, and Yuimetal and Moametal were 15.
I've been to Saitama Super Arena for a Babymetal show and it's a big venue. Depending on the configuration it can holdup to 35,000 people, but in the concert set up like this it's about 20,000.
They definitely extend the crowd engagement parts of their songs out for the live performances, and this particular performance is probably the longest one they have ever done. It usually only goes 30 seconds to a minute. This was the closing song of the show, so it was the finale and they played it up a bit extra.
The band that plays with Babymetal is called the Kami Band (Kami are gods or spirits in the Japanese Shinto religion). It is made up of experienced professional session musicians, so the lineup isn't fixed and different members sub in and out depending on the show. This show featured the original Japanese Kami Band and the musicians playing were: Leda Cygnus (guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (guitar), Boh (bass), and Hideki Aoyama (drums).

It is written with Dragon Force. Su is the singer, so she is singing most of the time, the 2 dances do backups like in the "Forever" part. Su usually can hit a note like a sniper, she does not swell up or down. The extended intro, the extended wao part and the chaotic ending are for live, the studio version is shorter. The woa part is way too long, they make it shorter these days for live.

6:21 _Now Pizza time (Pizza time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕
    Welcome back to the Foxhole.
Nice to see you're back with this suggestion to follow your BM journey, just like here it was the ender for almost every show at the World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone loved to have fun with this one such last month at the Europe Tour and prior to that at Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, they did a fun interview about it and you can see they were excited with Slipknot returns (another band BM producer loves) they were very supportive during early era or Metal Resistance chapter and now they will be playing at Knotfest Tour, also they played at San Francisco as part of the Babyklok Tour along with Dethklok, and DragonForce were there playing too, another supportive band since BM beginning career and also involved in the album version of this song as well some live collabs together around those years.
"Road Of Resistance" is a power/speed metal song, it's one of their most epic anthems and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce. It's all about facing your own path without looking back.
This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment.
With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they're performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages.
The East Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians, they were sent to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists).
All of them are male, they are:
    - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums.
    - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly passed away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar.
    - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but his fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP.
    - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father was very famous in Japanese music scene.
Nowadays they're inactive and the band playing at live tour is the West Kami Band, more of them in newer performances.
At the end of their shows they're not singing, they always said and shout "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to make them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed from X-Japan saying it at live concerts too.
Btw you pick the right and best version to enjoy this song for the first time, don't care about what anyone says in the comments. This was after they did the live premiere in the UK, there's a proshot clip but it's usually not so safe to react, this one is the right choice, you can watch newer live versions of course.
    Next suggestion:
    - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014.
This month they will start with the Asian Tour and in October they will be at Knotfest Brazil, Argentina and Chile for the first time in South America, as well Peru with a headlining show, they will come back to the US for another tour and also Mexico will be part of that tour but this time as special guests for Slipknot, we can't wait for it.
Hope to see you around with more BM songs.
    See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Great reaction! The call for a Wall of Death from Su-Metal is great, isn´t it? Nowadays she does it pro forma, as the crowds demand the Wall of Death by themselves, as soon as RoR begins 🤣The Kami Band members were and are top notch musicians. The band you see here is the Kami Band East, all Japanese guys, with Takayoshi Ohmura (pink glitter guitar), Hideki Aoyama (drums), BOH (GOD of bass) and Leda Cygnus (black guitar). I really love their classic metal sound! And I especially love the guitar solo with Takayoshi and Leda playing together, they have a special and beautiful sound.
Su-Metal being slightly off pitch right before the "Sing it!!" shows you that she is live. She is a fantastic singer and a great stage general, even when she was just 17 years old 😉 The same goes for Yuimetal and Moametal (both 15 at that time). You heard them right before that part, and THEY were leading the 22k people crowd! Did you notice that all circle pits STOPPED for the crowd part? 😉
This was the show closer, after about 1.5 hours full throttle, 110% performance, so Su-Metal is allowed to yell a little bit flat for a split second 😆
    "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" next, pls!
If you want to go a little bit back in time, do the "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" concert, the one "Gimme Chocolate!!" was from. AFTER that you could do two special versions of this very song. Headbanger Moametal vers., and Headbanger Momometal vers.
Moametal´s version is from 2019´s "Legend M" concert (she is a great singer, too!), and Momometal´s version is from March this year, at the "Legend MM" concert. With Momometal´s version you get the "Kami Band West", all musicians coming from the US. And you will experience, why we call her "Momozilla" at times 🤣Both were epic concerts!
BABYMETAL Death would be another great song, and there´s a rather recent version from the "BABYMETAL Begins" concert, 1. and 2. April 2023, available on several channels (including the official one).
The most EPIC version of that song is from the "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" concert, tho.

Road of Resistance: Live In Japan 🇯🇵 @"Saitama Super Arena (SSA):-
"Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance. Su-Metal was 10 when she performed with Karen Girls at the SSA (SAITAMA SUPER ARENA). The Arena that night holds about 20000 Babymetal fans but when you see the centrepiece Island and the two curve bridge, it can hold up to 30000 or even up to 40000 depends on the configuration of Babymetal concert for each tour they performed. This song is co-written by Dragonforce with Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar 🎸 solos, but Kami Band live show is brutal and tight. This is a classic Power Metal genre or speed metal as some might refer to. Bands like Dragonforce, Helloween and even Sabaton do power metal genre. Arkadia from Metal Galaxy Album is the successor to Road Of Resistance. At 17 Su-Metal alongside Yuimetal and Moametal who is 15 at that time, gave a perfect 👌 performance on how live show should be. This performance alone cemented my love ❤️ and appreciation for Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘😍💕🌸🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. .
    Babymetal singles chronology:-
    •"Megitsune" (2013).
    •"Road of Resistance" (2015).
    •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015).
    Background and release:-
"Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014.
A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015.
Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom.
    Composition:-
Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album.
According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful."
•Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear.
    •Mixed by Ettore Rigotti
    Personnel:-
    •Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) - Main vocals (2010 - Present)

    Saitama Super Arena:-
"Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500".
    •Owner: Saitama Arena Corp.
    •Capacity: 36,500 (stadium setting) 18,000 (arena setting).
The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting.
It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football.
It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.

This homecoming gig ('Legend 2015') took place on Jan 10 2015, just 5 months after BM first ventured to the West (Sonisphere UK, HeavyMTL, Lady Gaga tour). Gimme Chocolate had also gone super viral at that time, massively angering metal gatekeepers with its unorthodoxy (check out the '10 Times BABYMETAL Was Criticized or Disrespected by People from the Metal Industry' clip), something the 2000s Myspace metal bands & their 2010s hybrid-genre successors were also doing.
So RnR was the perfect rebuttal to that petty hostility, outwitting them at their own game (by co-opting the Dragonforce guitarists to contribute their power metal sound); & winning over legacy rock musicians (who applauded BM's spectacular live shows despite the girls' youthfulness) as well as the new-generation metal peers (whom BM actively networked at overseas festivals & ended up collaborating with several). Likewise, this particular RoR live left a surprising number of self-confessed jaded older CZcamsrs teary-eyed in their reaction videos during the second half of last decade.
The venue (Saitama Super Arena) was also the first time BM drew 20,000 attendees as headliner. For context, they were playing to 1,500-3,000 crowds (the three 'IDZ - Legend' gigs) at the turn of 2013, then sold out Budokan (10,000) twice in early 2014 before heading abroad, & would ultimately sold out Tokyo Dome (55,000) twice in Sept 2016.
However, what's more impressive is BM always lived up to the hype at every show during this halcyon period, which are thankfully recorded for prosperity on several DVDs/Blu-Rays. Look up their 7-song set at the 40,000-strong 'Metrock 2015' festival (which took place some five months after Saitama) on Dailymotion, which captured the maniacal times of that classic lineup (original BM trio, East Kamis, fans).
Crazier thing is RoR wasn't even officially released then yet. BM had debuted it live (provisionally titled 'The One') for the finale of their London gig some two months prior (Nov 8 2014). Somehow, the 20,000 crowd learned how to join in at Saitama after watching the fancams & the song becoming available as a limited bonus download days before the gig. This 'Legend 2015' performance would be uploaded in mid-2015 to serve as RoR's official (live) video.
FYI The East Kamis featured seven core Japanese musicians, with four of them getting to play at each gig. Guitarists Takayoshi Ohmura & Leda Cygnus, bassist BOH & (male) drummer Hideki Aoyama got the call on this night, with guitarist Mikio Fujioka & drummer Yuya Maeta also in attendence as a show of support. Guitarist Isao Fujita would permanently succeed Mikio after the latter died from a fatal fall while stargazing in Jan 2018. CZcams has a video ("BM KAMI Band playing Instrumental song") of them jamming unmasked at Ohmura's 2016 solo gig, which was taken from the retail DVD.
The East Kamis are beloved by the fans, but they were also freelancing tour musicians who had their own projects (& were also becoming well-known). As BM's foreign tours grew longer & more frequent, a decision was made in 2019 to switch to the West Kamis (comprising American musicians, recruited mostly from Galactic Empire who had supported BM in 2018) who had less personal commitments elsewhere.
BM is purposely built around Su since 2010 (when she was 13 years old), with Moa & Yui originally enlisted to serve as 'hype (wo)men' in charge of energizing & engaging the audience (borrowed from hip hop & EDM). They also helped unburden the dance choreography on Su (to let her focus on singing), give each other added onstage confidence when younger, & during their early days, let Su take a breather by performing their own Black Babymetal songs (Su also had solo turns to give them some rest).
But BM would more or less shelve the Black Babymetal songs after Yui left in 2018. By then, the girls were also getting older & better at pacing themselves, & Su's effortless excellence at performing BxMxC live since 2020 (without the studio effects & despite having to rap over the Black Babymetal-level ferocious riffs) basically made Black Babymetal expendable.
Check out the special versions of Headbanger (Moa's viral Portmesse Nagoya version in 2019, Momo's Yokohama Arena version in 2024, Yui's Paris fancam in 2013, Moa's Cologne fancam in 2013) in which they respectively sang lead during the song's second half to commemorate their 15th birthday (end of compulsory education, with the original lyrics "ichigo no yoro o...") or 20th birthday (coming of age, with the changed lyrics "hatachi no yoro o...").

19:34 Su did motion to up her volume I think (to her left). She yells , "Katte ku yo!" Like "coming for you". Sometimes you have to let it play ( for copyrights need to pause) but please don't pause and rewind the same place 3 times or more, you lose the momentum.

11:25 yes, this part of the song is exactly made for the crowd participation. And the drawn out way in part seems more drawn out because their was actually a guitar part that got cut. This is the 3rd time it was performed. The 1st time it was performed, it was at a venue with a lot of reverb, but they really wanted to perform it (especially 'baby face' Yuimetal you see at 11:38 ). Thank you for the wonderful post. I love this song. At the time, the three singers were between 15 and 17 years old, and this video shows the song they sang as an encore after a one-man show. I imagine they were very tired after a one-man show that included some intense dancing. (Amazing.) And above all, the backing band, the "KAMI Band" members of that era, were the best. They were all made up of world-class male members, and I think they were the best and strongest. I was so moved that I was in tears.

Aside of the main singer Su, the formal member Yui, the present members Moa and Momo, they are characterized to do scream, dance, and backing vocals. And, actually they are pretty good at harmony, and never fail at providing proper vibes and tones to a song. They might not sing as good as Su, but their singing are much much better than tones of Japanese idol group. Some Japanese fans call them Monsters.

Moa is a phenomenal singer. Super stable in pitch, and with a very unique tone, too. Quite a hidden monster 🤣 Yui did the first proper scream back then, and she sang very well, despite being nervous as hell. But her domain was dancing, without a doubt. A dance monster, if you wish.

For me this incarnation of BM and the Kami Band is the best there's ever been. Su, Moa and Yui had great stage energy and a connection with the Kami band who's faces we could see and who could express themselves regularly in solos. Yui and Moa could sing together as part of Black Babymetal and Su got to sing solos. In this 2015 performance on guitars it's Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura with BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Mikio Fujioka also often played lead guitar instead of Leda and he was probably more expressive, but unfortunately he died in 2018. Yui officially left BM later in the same year which lead to a period of difficult change and reassessment.
