New update corrupted a save with roughly 40 hours put in for me...
I didn't realize thats how the roman empire ended...
The worst part is that base game does not say why it crashed, so it could be a mod you're using that isn't compatible because they changed something in the code, or it's just incompatibility between your old save and the new version, in which case at least we can switch back to an old version and keep going.

its probably a mod. I play on ps5 and i had no problems.
I play on console and had problems
I have no mods and the game just crashes in less than 2 minutes

You can always revert to an older Bannerlord version through Steam to continue using the mods and to continue the series :)
(You right click the game in your library -> Properties -> Betas -> on the top right there's a drop down box of all the versions)

They didn’t I’ve been playing for a few days on Xbox no nothing the games fun as hell I’ve never had any problems with ai except one time and any big problems are from mods they just need to add more as far as factions and story like having a choice to be involved with the big picture for just do little things like factions should continue fighting and declaring war but also just more also mission types and ways to have more fun like water battles
If you have mods just return to previous version from betas in steam settings. My bannerlord is fixed at 1.15 version as Realm of thrones mod is for 1.15. It is just painful to update with mods and often it takes few weeks until mods are uptaded for latest version as well. Expect really popular ones like bannerlord online or persistent empires etc which update their mods witihn hours.
It's honestly ridiculous that there isn't version matching for mods that's automatic
@@henryjubeda7617 As far as i know no game does such a thing even if mods are on steam workshop. This is why it is easier to use nexus etc where guides are more detailed than workshop. Just choose mods you want and choose a version which supports all your choosen mods.
Mods usually can work in multiple versions like 1.10-1.15. For example recently i did a Realm of thrones mod package with a dozen more mods with 1.15 game version. Some mods weren't even supposed to work together or was for 1.17 etc they still worked flawlessly. It isn't really that hard unless you push far like two dozen or mods which might cause mods clashing with each others..

It happens most every time. Idk why people are surprised or mad at the devs for updating their game because they did not check with popular mods if their adjustments would mess with them.

If you go back to the previous version you were on through steam you should be alright? I'm guessing your either on 1.16 or 1.15 game wise.
If you go back to a previous version of the game will it go back to how it was before the update gameplay wise? Because I'm ass at the game and the fact they have made easy difficulty hard now and the AI blocks everything has really slowed my game down 😂

Just lost all my saves due to the new update. I did have RBM on for 1.27 but it was running fine beforehand. It sucks when it crashes it only gives you brief crash data. One of my favorite games when it was working 😢

Most likely the mods are not compatible. Disable the mods and try again.

Spent 3 hours today just mixing and matching mod versions to get merely 5 very common and big mods to work. Even getting just one was a massive lift that required me to actually go back to 1.1.5. I had to actually go to an earlier version than I was playing on before this update. Wild. Devs are dumpster fire

@@mattiOTX No, the devs actually removed versions 1.2.0-1.2.5 in steam beta properties. You literally can't return to 1.2.3, for instance, even if you wanted to. That's why I had to roll back to 1.1.X. They literally remvoed versions with this update.

The game had and still has so much potential i js don't know why th the developers don't use that. They js "fix crashes" and add lame ahh stuff in their patches it's unbelievable.
