But on the other hand you don’t want to short yourself. Like you said with a lot of money from the mega and you were left with $500, that’s a reason to stop giving. I say give only if you want and it shouldn’t be expected of you unless you and whoever you give have that understanding. This is how and what we do.

i only do lucky money when I play with my sister in California and her friend. Here in Maryland, only close knit friends do that and I don't have any of those. I'm basically a loner when it comes to Bingo. I do give to the payee and the bingo caller.
I fell into that trap also but not anymore. Surprising how many friends you have when you hand out luck money and how quick they disappear when you stop! I only give lucky money to a few people now and on the sly so others don’t see me doing it😏
