Oh yes I love this plane... 4x 50 cals on 1.7 haha its an awesome ground striker for tank RB, finaly a good one for this role

Bullets = smaller than a plane
Bullets are smaller and have a better chance of avoiding tree trunks, unlike aircraft which are generally large and have a wide section usually called "wings".

The Wind Indicator! The Cheesecake! The Vibrator! The Vindicator! I'm amazed and pleased that Gaijin put this relatively obscure plane in the game, very cool stuff there.
Definitely falls as one of my favorite aircraft of the pre/early WW2 years.
I still prefer the SDB-3

Ah low tiers, where people keep trying to head on despite being undergun and more maneuverable than the opponent.

It really doesn’t, just had a 5.7 game where they still do it
EXTRA credit to that Ki-43 pilot, because the Ho-103's ammo belts got nerfed into the ground in this patch (the API rounds became AP, the API-T rounds became just tracers), while the IAI rounds remain unchanged in SPITE of documents provided to Gaijin proving that those belts are supposed to have HEFI rounds in them instead.
The japanese Ho-103 used no API-T or API rounds, they used two different types of explosive rounds(fused and fuseless... AI and IAI in War Thunder terms, because russian naming conventions consider below 20mm caliber HE shells to be IAI/AI) as well as a ball round, an AP-T and a pure AP. The AI and IAI rounds *HAVE* HE and Frag damage properties, and the Tracer has the same physical damage properties as the ball round and only a tiny bit less than the AP round. This is even shown on the War Thunder wiki in the gun belt section... just google for War Thunder belts. Or click this link:

Also, I am exclusively using the stealth belt for the Ho-103 which consists of two AP and two HE/IAI rounds and I have consistently good results with them... when firing at 300 meters or below. And that's actually correct, because the Ho-103's MV and the ballistic properties of the rounds were quite bad. Further away than 300 meters and your rounds will fly all over the place and have a large muzzle drop, while inside 300 meters they are almost laser accurate... just like the Ho-5 20mm cannon(which, like the Ho-103, is an upscaled M2 Browning, more on that below...).
Here is a table of the rounds used by the japanese and italians 12.7mm guns... because they were basically the same. A M2 Browning .50 cal adaption using a shorter cartridge and thus being lighter and a little smaller, because they don't need such a heavy bolt and receiver as the M2 Browning does to withstand the firing of the ammunition.

I absolutely love this aircraft. Not the most energy effecient, but it has that early war charm and can still pack a nasty punch.

The pontoon version has so much drag it can’t take off effectively in RB or at least that’s what I determined in the test flight mode.
