So so glad this is finally coming over I will also see it in New York I January. My dream cast Rachel Tucker/Sheridan Smith for Jenna Amber Riley for Becky Sophie Isaacs/ Carrie Hope Fletcher - Dawn Jordan Fox/ Oliver Savil - Dr Pottimer
Ooh, I'd actually love to see Sheridan as Jenna, I think she'd suit the role perfectly. I agree that Dan would be a fantastic Ogie, I thought that myself. Oliver Ormson would be the perfect Dr Pomatter, I think his voice is very similar to Drew Gehling's. I also think Sophie Isaacs would make a great Dawn. From what I've seen of the cast in rehearsals I think its going to be amazing and I can't wait to see it!
I could really see Louise Dearman playing Jenna. She has this incredible richness in her voice as well as a deep emotional quality that I haven’t seen in many actors. I adore Sheridan Smith, I fell in love with her in Legally Blonde. I’m not super familiar with a lot of West End actors but I think Oliver Tompsett would make an incredible Dr Pomatter (Oh wow you picked him too!)
I'm going to write this before I watch the video and see if we have any matches.. I haven't thought about this too much but just from the top of my head perhaps; Lauren Samuels/Laura Pitt-Pulford - Jenna Eva Noblezada - Dawn Lizzy Connolly - Becky Richard Fleeshman - Dr Pomatter Michael Xavier - Earl Andy Hockley - Joe Dan Buckley - Ogie ? -Cal Though I would love to see some new graduates in the roles of perhaps Dawn & Becky
I was thinking the same with Oliver Tompsett, I saw him in Wicked and Kinky Boots and thought he'd be a great fit for the role! Also, I saw Rebecca Trehearn and Stewart Clarke in Ghost together and they'd be amazing in the show too.
I would love to see Thomas Aldridge play the role of Cal I saw him recently play Ron in Harry Potter And The Cursed Child and thought he could be a good one, plus he has quite a good singing voice.
I'm really excited to see Waitress come to London although I'll be sad not to see the bright lights of Kinky Boots being there in it's place. I also did a bit of dreamcasting on my channel and some of the names on my list are similar to yours.Great video as always x
Great cast I saw waitress on broadway three days ago. I cannot wait for it to come from London. I loved the cast I had with Katherine McPhee she was great.
I'm so excited to FINALLY get to see this show! I've been obsessed with it for ages! LOVE your picks for Jenna. Sheridan Smith would be an awesome choice. I wouldn't have thought of her initially but as soon as you said her name I was like OF COURSE. I think she would be fab. Julie Atherton would be amazing as well. Personally, I'd love to see Drew Gheling reprise his role as Dr P. It's probably a long shot, but I would LOVE to see him live, his voice is just gorgeous. If w West End actor gets cast though, I totally agree that Ollie Tompsett would be fantastic!
I'm so excited for this! I haven't watched the show but for some reason I decided to listen to the obc recently and watched the film so it's a crazy coincidence that it's finally been announced it's coming to the West End.
I feel so understood when I watch your videos! I was making my dream cast in my head too as soon as I heard the news Reneé Lamb! Yes please ❤️ She has an incredible voice and I can't wait to see Little Shop of Horrors in 2 wks. If I can say something a bit 'mean', my only hope is that they cast - especially for Jenna - someone with a musical theatre background - and not just a famous name
Would you be upset if I they brought an American Jenna? But I I agree that they will go with a known name, like they're doing in Broadway now, and if she's British it would definitely bring more people in.
Rukaya Cesar I’m American and would root for one of the many talented British actors. I think that would be fair. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if Jessie Mueller made her London debut in this show. I love me some Jessie! 🌺
Exciting that waitress is coming to london! You should do a dream cast gor the wicked movie, theres a tiny bit of twitter speculation that Dove Cameron has been cast as Galinda/Glinda Upland
I would love to see Rachel Tucker as Jenna! But also I would love Sara Barellies to do a stint as Jenna when they open! I think I would cry. And yes definitely Oliver Tompsett for the Doctor!! 😍😍
Kerry Ellis as Jenna!! I met her at her concert she said she’d love to play that role and she also sang she used to be mine which was SOOOOOO AMAZING!!
Squad Vlogs i would love that but it was just announced she’s going to be in the broadway adaptation of beetlejuice so probably not gonna happen yet :(
This was my 3rd choice of Broadway musical but like Come From Away did not have time to fit it in. Excited for it to come to London so I can see it along with CFA. On an unrelated not managed to see the sold out run of Closets The Musical at Hope Mill Theatre. Deserves a capital run.
Yay!! You could even do a two-show day of them! 😉 Always gutted to miss a show at the HMT, this one has had an especially short run too which doesn't help!
ThisPerfectFinale I feel like she does fit the character though🤷🏻♂️ sweet, introverted and funny, however my word ain’t the one behind the casting table so lol don’t attack me
Is the Adelphi too big a theatre for this show? I agree they are going to need at least one big name for at least the lead. Sheridan Smith is an obvious choice, but I wonder if they are going to query her reliability to do a long run? I can't see them bringing over one of the stars who have been in the show before. They are not well enough known, even Sara herself. I also wonder if a show about waitresses in a diner in the South is going to resonate in the same over here. Attracting big audiences over an extended time about a server who makes pies, especially if they are hoping to charge top West End prices. if it is not Smith, I would think they are going to have to cast a tv star. The show is well liked, but it does not come laden with awards. That probably sounds really negative, but I would have preferred something like Next to Normal to finally be given a go, or even try and bring a show like the Last Ship, with Rachel Tucker back in the show.
I was thinking the same about the Adelphi being too big a theatre. One of my favourite things about waitress on Broadway was how small the theatre was, it kind of gave the show a cosy feel, and I don't think that'll transfer to the Adelphi.
I agree with your points! I was hoping it'd go into a smaller house, but hopefully the foot traffic of the Strand will help. It's certainly going to be interesting to see how a transfer like this does! I'm really gutted that, weirdly, the rights for Next to Normal aren't available in the UK & Ireland, and has been that way for a while. Dying to see a production of it and it's so odd that the rights aren't available! I wonder if the Toronto run of The Last Ship will help in it coming here, I'd love to see it do a West End run.
Rukaya Cesar I know 😂😂 She said on her insta story saying she’s a baby 👶 for the role of Jenna though when she’s old enough 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I think there gonna open with Sarah do like 2 months then a new Jenna maybye Kerry Ellis x
So so glad this is finally coming over I will also see it in New York I January.
My dream cast
Rachel Tucker/Sheridan Smith for Jenna
Amber Riley for Becky
Sophie Isaacs/ Carrie Hope Fletcher - Dawn
Jordan Fox/ Oliver Savil - Dr Pottimer
Great picks!
Would be really interesting to hear your thoughts on the cast now that it has been announced x
I could SO see Sophie Isaacs playing Dawn!
omg good shout!
What about Alice Fearn as Jenna? I thought that when I saw Wicked recently...?
I can see it but she wouldn't be my top pick haha!
I’m so excited literally just singing it
Can't wait to see it again 😊
I could really see Louise Dearman playing Jenna. She has this incredible richness in her voice as well as a deep emotional quality that I haven’t seen in many actors. I adore Sheridan Smith, I fell in love with her in Legally Blonde. I’m not super familiar with a lot of West End actors but I think Oliver Tompsett would make an incredible Dr Pomatter (Oh wow you picked him too!)
Samuel Brown ah I literally thought the same thing, Louise was my immediate pick! And she has a bit of a name too!
I would also be happy with Louise playing Jenna! 💖
I'm going to write this before I watch the video and see if we have any matches..
I haven't thought about this too much but just from the top of my head perhaps;
Lauren Samuels/Laura Pitt-Pulford - Jenna
Eva Noblezada - Dawn
Lizzy Connolly - Becky
Richard Fleeshman - Dr Pomatter
Michael Xavier - Earl
Andy Hockley - Joe
Dan Buckley - Ogie
? -Cal
Though I would love to see some new graduates in the roles of perhaps Dawn & Becky
Omg check us out with our matching Dawn/Ogie/sort of Joe's 😂 Laura Pitt Pulford is a BEAUTIFUL shout for Jenna omg 😍
i thought eva would be such a cute fit for dawn too!
You got Marisha right hahaha
Julie Atherton as Dawn!
I’ve seen Sara as Jenna a few months ago and I really hope that she’s coming over for a few weeks.
I honestly wouldn't be shocked!
I was thinking the same with Oliver Tompsett, I saw him in Wicked and Kinky Boots and thought he'd be a great fit for the role! Also, I saw Rebecca Trehearn and Stewart Clarke in Ghost together and they'd be amazing in the show too.
Happy you agree 😏💖
I think Verity Rushworth could potentially play dawn...?
She could be good yes!
I would love to see Thomas Aldridge play the role of Cal I saw him recently play Ron in Harry Potter And The Cursed Child and thought he could be a good one, plus he has quite a good singing voice.
Omg this is a great shout! He's fab in Cursed Child!
Can’t wait to see it. Hopefully will be able to get tickets for the same day I’m seeing come from away
I have my fingers crossed for you! 💖
yes these choices were perfect !!! I'd also love the queen Rachel Tucker to play Jenna
Weirdly I don't see her in the role! So odd haha
YAS
YAS indeed!
Ah how fab you saw it so recently! Glad you loved it 💖
So excited that this show is FINALLY coming to London.
Tony
X
I'm so so so excited to be able to easily see it again and for more of the UK theatre crowd being able to see it and fall in love with it! 💖
I'm so excited to FINALLY get to see this show! I've been obsessed with it for ages! LOVE your picks for Jenna. Sheridan Smith would be an awesome choice. Yay so glad you agree Sam! Gosh Drew was such a dream. 😍
I'm so excited for this! I haven't watched the show but for some reason I decided to listen to the obc recently and watched the film so it's a crazy coincidence that it's finally been announced it's coming to the West End.
Yay! Hope you get to see it and love it!
I’d love to see Rachel Tucker as Jenna perhaps
We all know I love Rachel Tucker but weirdly I really don't see her in this role haha
I feel so understood when I watch your videos! I was making my dream cast in my head too as soon as I heard the news
Reneé Lamb! Yes please ❤️ She has an incredible voice and I can't wait to see Little Shop of Horrors in 2 wks.
If I can say something a bit 'mean', my only hope is that they cast - especially for Jenna - someone with a musical theatre background - and not just a famous name
Also Sophie Evans could play her
Yes!!! So exciting
Isn't it! 💖
Jessie mueller should make her west end debut!
Would you be upset if I they brought an American Jenna? But I I agree that they will go with a known name, like they're doing in Broadway now, and if she's British it would definitely bring more people in.
Nah not necessarily, it depends on who it is! Ideally I would prefer the role going to a British actress though 😊
Rukaya Cesar I’m American and would root for one of the many talented British actors. I think that would be fair. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if Jessie Mueller made her London debut in this show. I love me some Jessie! 🌺
rachel tucker would be a wonderful jenna!
I’m kinda bitter sweet because Kinky Boots is closing 😭😭 But it’s all good! I love you channel, keep being amazing!!
Same 💔
Omg I just saw this video and I said Sheridan & Dan for them roles at the very start x
Sophie Isaacs as Dawn and Rebecca Lock as Jenna 🤞🏻🤞🏻😍🤩
Exciting that waitress is coming to london! You should do a dream cast gor the wicked movie, theres a tiny bit of twitter speculation that Dove Cameron has been cast as Galinda/Glinda Upland
Glad you're excited!! 💖
Jordan fox would be a great Earl or Dr pomatter
That's a great shout!
You was 100% with Marisha wasn’t you huh xxx
I would love to see Rachel Tucker as Jenna! But also I would love Sara Barellies to do a stint as Jenna when they open! I think I would cry.
And yes definitely Oliver Tompsett for the Doctor!! 😍😍
So pumped
Same!!! 💖
Rukaya Cesar sorry I didn’t get the notification sooner 😂😂 thoughts on Kerry Ellis as Jenna??
I’ve thinking Sheridan OR Gemma Arterton!!!
Verrrrry good shouts!
EVELYN HOSKINS AS DAWN
REBECCA TREHEARN. REBECCA TREHEARN. REBECCA TREHEARN!!!
OBVVVVS
I got an advertisement email from Delfont Mackintosh today announcing this and I immediately thought of you.
Haha love it!!
Kerry Ellis as Jenna!! I met her at her concert she said she’d love to play that role and she also sang she used to be mine which was SOOOOOO AMAZING!!
Squad Vlogs i would love that but it was just announced she’s going to be in the broadway adaptation of beetlejuice so probably not gonna happen yet :(
Kerry Butler's doing Beetlejuice and not Kerry Ellis?
emma I think you mean Kerry Butler
This was my 3rd choice of Broadway musical but like Come From Away did not have time to fit it in. Excited for it to come to London so I can see it along with CFA. On an unrelated not managed to see the sold out run of Closets The Musical at Hope Mill Theatre. Deserves a capital run.

Jenna- Cynthia Erivo
Dawn- Carrie Hope Fletcher
No lets stop casting Carrie in every show especially when she doesn't even fit the character.
Agree with Cynthia though.
ThisPerfectFinale I feel like she does fit the character though🤷🏻♂️ sweet, introverted and funny, however my word ain’t the one behind the casting table so lol don’t attack me
Max Gill I’m not familiar with Ms. Fletcher but Cynthia Erivo very smart casting!
@@maxgill4193 carries voice might be better for becky cos its more powerful , respect your opinion tho x
I mean, Rebecca obviously
OOOOOBVIOUSLY.
Carrie hope fletcher as Dr pomatter
lmaooooo
Im kinda hoping that sara barellies comes and does a bit like indna menzel did in Wicked (sorry if i spelled names wrong)
I wouldn't be shocked if she did to open the show in the first couple of months!
I feel like Ben Forster would also be a really good Dr. Pomatter but also Earl!
I'm not the biiiiiggest fan of BF personally but I see where you're coming from! It'd be fun to see him in a rougher character than usual 😂
Y E S
RIGHT! 💖
Do you think they will keep it in an American accent when it comes to the Adelphi or they will change it to British?
I would imagine so as the story is an American one!
Is your broadway con haul coming up?
Honestly probably not, I had filmed it but then my harddrive broke so I lost the footage and it's just a big faff to film 😂
I think Stephen Ashfield would be a really good Dr P. But he’s still on broadway in Mormon.
Oo good shout!
I don't think my daughter will allow this show to happen unless Jamie Muscato is cast as Dr. Pomatter...
Haha this is a really good shout, I image he'd be seen more for Earl but it would nice for him to not play a psycho for once 😂
can we have more editing rukaya 😂
Carrie Hope Fletcher as Jenna!! 😍😍
She's too young! Haha
As Becky Carrie hope fletcher
She's too young.
Maybe too young for Becky but she could make a good Dawn 😊
I definitely immediately thought Dawn for her!💗
