Well if you check the history of music, it was never done for entertainment. Originally in every aboriginal culture it is a respected way of expressing spiritual devotion. "It's for your own good" is the kind of statement made by tyrannical dictators. A being that would send someone to hell for listening to The Beatles sing about peace and love is certainly a tyrannical dictator. If I was you I'd leave the religion... just don't do it in a muslim majority country because the punishment for apostasy is death. Real loving God you've got there.
Allah never said music is haram. Prophet Muhammad SAW allowed some to play music sometimes and sometimes told some to not play music. So scholars say it's because such and such instruments were allowed and such and such weren't allowed. Allah didn't talk about it in Quran.
I've experienced this personally. Was too addicted to listening to music to the point that I'd be on my headphones the majority of the hours in a day. I'd listen to it since the moment I wak up to late at night before bed. It also hurts so much when you link a particular song with a memory with someone or somewhere and it's now out of your hands (impossible) to see that someone or to visit that place. In that case, hearing even a short few seconds of that particular song will literally set a fire in your chest. Making your yearning for that person, even worse. Alhamdulillah for finally being able to live 100% music free. It's absolutely liberating. You start to connect with nature and engage better in your surroundings. You focus and actually try to face your problems instead of distracting yourself by music. I found living in a muslim majority country helpful. Unlike when I was living in a Western country where you barely walk few steps without hearing music in the background. Also make sure you have friends and family who are supportive of your decision and respect your choices. Allah Taala guide us all towards Him, and make us steadfast, where no one and nothing can lead us astray. Ameen.

I think the main problem is that music generally has a huge effect on you. It affects you emotionally, it can change your mood etc. It can actually be manipulative in some way. For example, if soft and generally nice music is played in stores, customers tend to hang around for longer and spend more of their money. And then the opposite for loud music, customers tend to hang around for less time. People don’t realise, but music has huge effects on an individual. It is quite fascinating.
Music is a beautiful art that is in invented by humans to connect. Music has the power to unite people all around the world and can spread love & peace. I strongly disagree with islam on this matter. Music doesn’t make a human evil. A human is good or evil by nature and it has nothing to do with music. An intelligent human being doesn’t get affected by these things.
I swear if it's a hyped up song your mood becomes positive if it's a sad depressing song your mood becomes negative. I just noticed the hyped up songs are just disgusting and filled with filth it makes it negative then... And makes you think about Haram things and you could literally imagine the lyrics... Ugh these artist are just disgusting. I hate how people just normalise it.
@@reddead6842 "An intelligent human being doesn't get affected by these things" That is completely not true, you do get affected, but don't even realise it. There's many scientific studies done on this. Different types of music have different effects on the brain, you can even start thinking differently! There's many studies done on this, you can look some of them up. The one I used as an example in my original comment is one of them. I'm also not saying that music makes people evil. I said that the problem with it is that it generally has a huge effect on you. That is the problem in itself. Like, military songs and instruments that were used on battlefields many decades or centuries ago weren't there just for show, they were there to boost the morale of soldiers and make them more "battle ready".
@@iprohoodini7889 I disagree. The problem is that some humans are trying to make some bunch of laws in a free society that are beneficial to them and impose them on others and that is against the idea of freedom. If you want to live in an environment where laws are strict than you should live in a state with strictly laws. If you are against the idea of the total freedom in all its forms then you should not live in a free society. Music should not be labeled as evil.
@@reddead6842 no society at all are free anyways, there’s always restriction, but that restriction differs on where you are. Freedom doesn’t mean you’re better either. According to that pattern of thinking, an anarchist state would be better than any other. And again, I never said music is evil 😑, I’m saying (yet again) that music has a big effect on an individual. And that can cause people to act differently than they usually would. The individual may not notice it, but this is a scientifically proven fact. When I say this, the fact that it CAN alter some things about an individual, is the reason it is considered as haram by many muslims. There’s obviously some music that may be considered as good aswell, and some as bad. But the problem in islam is that music in itself has a big effect on an individual, whether it is good or bad. That effect the music causes is haram in itself.
The thing is, I’m a music producer, who is also muslim , I understand how frequencies work and how they can affect you negatively, but they can also affect your positivity, there has to be a balance and the fact is I agree with the Quran in some aspect where it tells you that you shouldn’t listen to music, but I disagree with the fact that you shouldn’t listen to all music because of it fact is there is positive music and there is negative music, it is okay to listen to positive music, it is not good to listen to music that impacts you in a negative way, however, if you dig deeper and understand, frequencies on a deeper level, there are frequencies out there, which are called solfeggio frequencies, which actually can help heal your mind body and your soul

In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of Hell and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace, and with boiling blood he scoured the Umbral Plains seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Night Sentinels, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him... the Doom Slayer. Tempered by the fires of Hell, his iron will remained steadfast through the passage that preys upon the weak. For alone he was the Hell Walker, the Unchained Predator, who sought retribution in all quarters, dark and light, fire and ice, in the beginning and the end, and he hunted the slaves of Doom with barbarous cruelty; for he passed through the divide as none but demon had before. And in his conquest against the blackened souls of the doomed, his prowess was shown. In his crusade, the seraphim bestowed upon him terrible power and speed, and with his might he crushed the obsidian pillars of the Blood Temples. He set forth without pity upon the beasts of the nine circles. Unbreakable, incorruptible, unyielding, the Doom Slayer, sought to end the dominion of the dark realm. The age of his reckoning was uncounted. The scribes carved his name deep in the tablets of Hell across eons, and each battle etched terror in the hearts of the demons. They knew he would come, just as he always had, as he always will, to feast on the blood of the wicked. For he alone could draw strength from his fallen foes, and ever his power grew, swift and unrelenting. None could stand before the horde but the Doom Slayer. Despair spread before him like a plague, striking fear into the shadow dwellers, driving them into deeper and darker pits. But from the depths of the abyss rose The Great One, a champion mightier than all who had come before. The Titan, of immeasurable power and ferocity. He strode upon the plain and faced the Doom Slayer, and a mighty battle was fought on the desolate plains. The Titan fought with the fury of the countless that had fallen at the Doom Slayer's hand, but there fell the Titan, and in his defeat the shadow horde were routed. And in his terrible rancor between worlds and through time, the Hell Walker found the wretch who shall not be named, but in his heresy was loyal to his evil cause. The wretch adorned the Doom Slayer in a mighy armor, wrought in the forges of Hell, impenetrable and unyielding. With sword and shield of adamantine strength, the Doom Slayer set to banishing all that was left unbroken by his savagery to the void. Yet as the mighty Titan fell and dread engulfed the armies of Doom, the demon priests of the Blood Temples laid a trap to capture this scourge of Hell. Insatiable, even by the vanquishing of the Great One, the Hell Walker sought prey in the tombs of the Blood Keep and blinded by his fervor, the lure drew him in. The priests brought down the temple upon the Doom Slayer, and in his defeat entombed him in the cursed sarcophagus. The mark of the Doom Slayer was burned upon his crypt, a warning to all of Hell that the terror within must never be freed. There he lies still, and ever more, in silent suffering.

Regards to the aqeedah of music I truly believe this is the correct interpretation and assessment of wether music is in simple terminology, “good”, or “bad”. Only ignorance would suggest that there isn’t a primordial rhythmn that permeates and structures the cosmos. String theorists themselves attribute their understanding to a musicological narrative. As if harmony and music; simply put, is what manifests shapes and forms and structures in the fabric of this universe, in the form of vibration. Harmonic vibration is music subjective to the ear that listens to it. The music of the birds is music to those that love birds. The flowing waves resemble the conductor’s baton, flowing in the air as they conducy an orchestra. Sometimes it flows, sometimes it crashes. The entire existence in front of your eyes, plays a divine symphony, EVEN, in silence. In the mere state of being. The stones, the boulders the mountains, the rivers, the oceans, and all within them. The wind, the storm, the tornado. It is an eternal language of rhythmn, mathematics, science, wisdom, art, love, and power. When one does not speak this language, and cannot comprehend the language, a tornado seems dreadful. To one that has realised the reflection of the divine names, a tornado that covered the horizon would translate the emotions they felt within. Music is the formless speach that translates eternal emotions that whisper within. It is the messenger of the language which is not spoken. If the vibration speaks of filth. It is unholy. If it vibrates of higher planes, it is holy. Allah knows best.

Well for improving the mood and helping with anxiety it's actually false because music makes changes in the brain's chimicals which leads to peaks of serotonin and other "happy hormones" and if it happens too often it will just end up creating a disbalance in the hormones produced and alter your mood on the long term and give you anxiety/depression . So no, it's not a good thing, it's literally a drug, you're forcing your brain into giving you dopamine. You're the one who should go to school.
You're talking about about what known as music popularly and i agree with you there but i have found tribal and folk music and spiritual musics which are elevating, soul touching and pure.
Muslims (i am one alhamdulillah) are generally speaking very simple minded and uneducated and ineloquent. They cant differentiate some things. Nasheed or even the Azan can be considered music. Its sad and frustrating how dumb most of our comunity is

There's enough beauty and purity in Quran than any music, so why need tribal music to meditate and calm your mind while there's Quran.. Not judging you though, everyone have his own road to salvation, it'll come the time when that music becomes obsolete to you and you realize there's nothing better than the words of Allah

Allah never said child marriage is haram or smoking is haram
As an ex producer myself, I can relate. I quit instrumentation music (even listening to a very extent ) few months back ❤ Alhamdulillah

@@reddead6842 "An intelligent human being doesn't get affected by these things"
That is completely not true, you do get affected, but don't even realise it.
@@iprohoodini7889
I disagree.

I'm a 80's teen. Music was a fundamental of identity back then. I remember how important it was that I learn the names of all the band members of Duran Duran so I could communicate with my friends. I never really realised at the time how we were being socialised into particular ways of thinking with the likes of culture club, Franky goes to Hollywood and Madonna. We were being made into spiritually bankrupt consumers, take the movies, music and clothes away and we were lost for identity. I struggled to become an adult because I thought I was somehow different from these older people. As time has gone on and music has become worse and more pervasive I don't see an improvement in the human condition.
The evil may not always be within music but within the promotion of greed and marketing
I will tell u my personal experience whn I use to listen to music while I would pray it would keep popping up in my mind I would lose my focus pls quit music brothers and sisters take ur first step it's all about sacrifices
It shows how addicting music is with how angry people are when you tell them it’s haram. It’s how people would react if you took away their hard drugs! They’d get angry and make excuses.
I used to listen to music and it TRULY is an addiction and I’d feel so depressed and not know why. I’m putting something above Allah SWT and loving something too much where Allah SWT should have my love.
Those of you upset about hearing that music is haram, ask yourselves why it’s so hard to even consider not listening to music? If Allah SWT told you not to listen to music would you be able to quit music?
Wow, and I have seen so soo many people come out of depression with major help of music.

In simple words, overuse of anything is bad!
Music is indeed haram, it is the very embodiment of what you could call “taste”, this idea that we should choose according to our preference of worldly items.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED, music is haram, it affects your heartbeat, clouds and obfuscates your mind. It will feel good just like drugs do, it is not injected or ingested as drugs are, but make no mistake akhi.
Even the World Health Organization conceded that music should be listened to for around 2 hours a DAY. It can literally damage your ears to sleep to music or listen to it for hours. Do not waste your money on such a hedonistic objective, this idea that we can “control”, tame or purchase sound.
These are just some of the reasons I can see why music is bad for you, I cannot speak or list all reasons.

Regards to the aqeedah of music
I truly believe this is the correct interpretation and assessment of wether music is in simple terminology, “good”, or “bad”.

Hella even bamabo trees grows more bigger and taller if you play flute near them , it's proven scientifically
Our ancestors used this methods to quickly grow sugarcane
Idk about others..
Not true at all, not every music, it depends of vibrations level. Classic music is healthy, travis scott music is evil...
Exactly we have music aswell we use drums and we sing there are certain instrument that we can use and listen to but like u said music with instruments that cause hight vibrations and stuff like that that literally thump in your heart are haram.
This is why we have the blessing of choice. Choose to listen music that connects people, music that brings life together, music that keeps people strong in dark times, music that heals the soul. Use music for good. Learn how to find proper music instead of listening to none at all. Music can help those in need, it is inspiring and powerful. So choose music wisely yes. But remember, never depend on it. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing.
MashaAllah 😍
Gonna go listen to some music now.
Good. We need some music to cleanse mind from islamic BS
As if any Muslim cares 😂
@@friendlyatheist9589 Yes yes keep ignoring the Truth and listening to music instead. As if that is going to save you from a painful torment. The day that everyone will be resurrected and standing in front of their Lord

Gewoon goede muziek luisteren, niks mis mee. Laat je een religie nou bepalen dat je geen muziek mag luisteren? Wat zou het leven toch saai zijn zonder muziek

Thanks for this message 🤲
This is timely because i am inspured musically by the birds songs the waters rushing the wind blowing through the trees the rain falling on the roof. I have a natural proclivity to music inspired by nature which Allah created..there is a music inside of me. Did not Allah create me this way and all the sounds of the natural world? To me nature is musical. The music industry is corrupt everyone is becoming aware of the evil that it produces in people im 100% against it now that their dirty secrets are being revealed. The sounds im enjoying more and more are of the Adhan and Qur'an reciatations..that also sounds musical to me. So if it is for Allah made by Allah it cannot be Haram? Im still learning and i ask questions..many if them but i do believe in the one true God that will never change.
"Music is satanic" 🤓
Bruh it's scientifically proven that music is good for health and has lots of positive effects
I know this man speaks of rap music which is only some of the stuff that exists
Yeah healthy AF like chester bennington or Michel jackson
Dunno, but ever since i started to be more involved with music, i cannot focus my mind anymore.
I know there are multiple studies, but in the case of me and my friends, we all declined gradually afterwards. My mind was a blurr, i became depressed, etc
There is a study thats says listening to music lowers the testosterone level in men body and highers it in women’s body check it out
@@kuchikirukia2350that's not because of music, music can't do that
The health benefits of music massively outweigh any bad effects (No know bad effects yet)
In many cultures like Hinduism, they way to reach god is music and dance. We have various classical dance forms and classical music all in the praise of God and devotional. A lot many temples like iskon in india when u enter u see ppl singing and dancing devotional songs and it's beautiful makes u feel closer to the one who created the whole universe whosoever he/she is. Music is beautiful ❤️.

I was about to say the same. I myself is learning Carnatic music from past 6 years. It requires sadhana, and my teacher she is an 82 year old pure hearted lady. Always say, the easiest way to reach god is through music or any art form. A good music can melt anyone's heart and make them aware of God's existence and bring them closer to nature. The people who practice classical music have to abstain themselves from all negativities like alhohol, drugs, smoking etc.
But you know buddy, different religion, different beleifs. But you also we in India and Pakistan, there are many well renowned Muslim musicians. So do they believe this. I don't know, it's quite debatable
Most of the Gangster people in USA doing Rap songs and taking drugs and having sex with multiple women do such kind of shit,, I never saw a musician in India doing drugs or having sex with multiple women,, whatever this guy is speaking of is useless
Omg!! This just open my heart wider.... So, the prohibition is not for the sake of the listeners, it's mostly for the sake of the musicians... Subhanallah!!! Alhamdulillah
As a Muslim ... We have no need to ask "oh man why it's haram ???"
Because as we Submit our will to the will of God , we should leave the things which He made Haram ...
But still , we should think that why it's haram, but not with the intention of checking if the orders of Allah are right or wrong ... But we should think because Allah has ordered us to think in the things of World ... So we can think of the effects which music cause to humans ...
Where did Allah say Music is haram?
He never did 👍🏻

In Hinduism music and dance has great importance ... I am so happy I am a hindu... FREEDOM 🕉️♥️🇮🇳
listen, freedom isn’t an issue in islam, it’s more about discipline. like you have the freedom to eat 10 cheeseburgers a day and drink alcohol all day but it’s not healthy and therefore also haram in islam. music and dancing are capable of influencing the mind of the listener and perhaps it’s not as bad as alcohol or killing someone but even a minor sin is a sin and if something is haram then it could probably have a negative that you may not see right away. (sorry for any mistakes, english is my third language)

Assalamualaikum.I am a Muslim, Alhamdulillah. I was pretty addicted to listen music (only good lyrics one) as random teenagers do. That time was great misery for me. I had. So many phycological problems, getting bad grades in exams, felt depressed without any reason,I had a lot of anxiety. I couldn't understand why this happening to me. It distracted me in study and daily works. Quility of my Salah was also down. I constantly asked for Allah's guidelines and forgiveness. One day I got the opportunity to understand what is the cause of my problems. I am a survivor of music addiction. I want to say to my Muslim brothers and sisters that if u listen to music and you are in problems like mine then try to quit it instantly and seek help from the Almighty. inshsAllah will get the right direction.
Now, i understand why we cant escape from the fitnah of dajjal.
