Many seems to forget that zhongli is the oldest seven archon. So for venti, zhongli was always his achon senpai. Zhongli also often criticize venti for his uncaring personality.

@@edgeheadsuperstar02 Venti simply wanted to free the people of Mondstadt. By deposing the previous Anemo Archon, he had to take his place. He did not want to rule, seeing it as the antithesis to freedom, so wanders the world, leaving Mondstadt godless most of the time.
Zhongli, believing that order is important, does not like how Venti is so carefree as thereâs plenty possibility of chaos with no strong person to keep order.

I honestly think that Zhongli being a support suits his character. Lorewise he was a war loving geo god but when time flew and things happened he grew sick of it and instead wanted to watch what would unfold and enjoy his life quietly from the sidelines rather than being the star that he once was

@@Chrono2254 They gutted him on release, there's plenty of evidence that his hold E used to interact with Petrified targets. Not to mention his beta self was a monster dps but they decided to gut a lot of his kit. Sadly his current iteration is an underwhelming 5*, I hope the changes they made with his kit in the 1.3 beta + changes to Geo elemental reactions in general will make him a bit stronger and more complete even at c0.

Its probably going to be quite some time before they are even really mentioned. Its rumored that the next areas to unlock are in this order: (possible spoilers below)
Inazuma (Electro), Sumeru (Dendro), Fontaine (Hydro), Natlan (Pyro), Snezhnaya (Cryo)
Inazuma isn't even going to be out until at least 1.3 or 1.4 I personally believe 1.4 which will be on March 17. Sucrose has a "Project 3 Version 17, enlargement trial" makes me think the map is going to enlarge on that date. Quote me now on that.

Remember Zhongli used to have a companion called Guizhong. While Rex Lapis is the brawl, Guizhong is kind and the mind. After the passing of Guizhong, time must have changed Zhongli a lot from his btutish nature with such loss.

Lore has it that at one point, Zhongli was the one who faced the strongest monster in Teyvat thousands of years ago and maybe killed or sealed it away. Aside from being a god of contracts, he is partly considered the god of war in the past hence why Venti was asking if he still seemed as strong as he was back in the days. Tbh, Zhongli would really be intimidating and scary if we are to go back to the archon war.

All I can say about the number of primos you say you have is that you most likely are going to get him. 90 rolls is like, 13k primos (a little less than that but you get the point). The chances of you getting Venti are pretty high, but theres also the 50/50 to worry about. Other than that you're getting a 5-star character no matter what.

I like the dialogue about the other characters, but I wish there will be was some actual interaction between them added at some point, like heart to hearts in Xenoblade.
Letting the characters you actually have interact would make them feel more like they're actually adventuring with you (and drive whaling even more) rather than the characters in your party just being empty shells that just look like actual characters.
that or endgame deeplore will reveal that the traveler is a shapeshifter who actually just changes into everyone else.
I hope in the future we can get a zhongli x venti story quest :/

People who actually have zhongli knows how weak his shield is even at *EXTREME* level of investment, and we're talking about extreme here, 50k HP lv9 talent, and his shield still breaks with just 2 hits on abyss f12 ice cage. Compare that to bennett, with relatively low investment. Lv6 talent, 30k HP, and you can *FACE TANK* anything coming your way. Zhongli basically provides 20% of his HP as pre-emptive heal at talent lv9 while bennett provides 10% of his HP *every second* as heal. Compare that to qiqi who makes your team immortal for as long her mark stays on the enemies or when her skill is up. Even barbara provide much more survivability compared to zhongli while only being worse at f12 abyss. Noelle's shield less powerful than zhongli's? Another proof that you've never used noelle. She provide emergency ultra strong shield everytime you're about to take lethal damage, basically saving your team from misplays so many times.
Zhongli tanking stuffs? You'd be dead way before you're tanking anything and even mihoyo admits it already. Weak shield without any utility nor compatibility and low survivability compared to other characters. WTF are you blabbering about strong shield on zhongli? You're a fucking liar who don't have zhongli and only mindlessly repeat what misleading whales in global server are talking. Giving headache to chinese community who are desperately fighting to get zhongli buffed. Mihoyo are very slowly buffing zhongli thanks to people like you, constantly grieving the buff by overpraising him and deny his weakness. Zhongli are the most awfully bad 5* only surpassed few 4* support while on lore he's the strongest (oldest?).
I think zhongli isn't the strongest in the lore but the oldest, also zhongli isn't that bad, his auto attacks might be trash but his skills and burst are really OP, he's a support after all, I don't get why everyone expects so much from him, if he didn't had that nerf he would've probably break the game

He's op BECAUSE his easy to build, easy to use and strong as hell. Compared to some characters that take a lot of dedication to make as good as venti
