  • I couldnt find help anywhere online about subwoofer installs on the Cupra Formentor, so I made a very low budget video to help anyone out who was stuck like me. Hope it helps, and send me pictures of your installs. Good luck!

Thank you for your video and for sharing your work with us.
I'm a new owner of a 2021 Seat Leon FR Estate and I was searching the internet for some ideas for the sound upgrade.
Now I know what I have to do.

Mate this is sick. Huge fan. I’ve also had some work done in the past with East Yorkshire retrofits who are hopefully going to sort me out with a beats install but love this custom job. Well done

Cheers @brooksy4449, I appreciate it. Took me a good 3 days and alot of head scratching haha. It looks like a massive job with the Beats install but im sure it'll be worth it :)

Nice job mate😎 does it work well? just from one side speaker output wires? I'm thinking of doing same, but I have centre speaker on my leon mk4 so may use this single channel to feed the sub.

Cheers, mate. Yes, I think it works really well for a sealed sub. Hits all the frequencies well and plays music at around 130db, which is perfect for a daily. I've not had a single problem up to now (fingers crossed).

Hey, great work, thanks for sharing. I've gor cupra ateca and want to do pretty much the same. Did you get any problems with unplugged battery? I've heard it causes lots of errors and requires some steering calibration etc thanks

      Hi mate,
I had no problems to be fair. The only gremlin I've ever had is the radio switching off and reseting, but every formentor owner has that dreaded curse, haha

Hey mate, why didnt you use a proper LOC? Youd get way better performance.

Hi Matt, I never have in any of my builds really. I have seen good things about LC2i loc kits but for £100+ I've always cheaped out.
I will use one eventually in a new build and I will probably never look back haha

4 gauge wire mate. @@tarekc.6937 I would guess 2 gauge is the absolute limit of what wire will fit through. Zero gauge would probably need drilling out and a new grommet putting in 👌

Hello, what's up, friend, I'm Spanish, I apologize if my writing is not correct, I wanted to see the electrical diagram because I can't see it clearly and I can't download it on your website.
By the way, incredible work, greetings

Hi, I'd say roughly a weekend of faffing. I have done a couple of hours each day through the week, but around 16 in total. Half of that was scratching my head and figuring stuff out, though, haha. 15inch edge (eds15d2-e0) sub - £250, skar RP1500 amplifier £140, 18mm mdf x 2 £60, neon light £20, fabric £20 (faux suede soft feel), vibe audio slick 2000w wire kit £33, clear plastic £5, cupra paint £10, sound deadener £55 (noico black 80mm) screws I had lying around, same with glue.
