I love how after an ultra combo he just screams "ULTRAAAAAAAAA!!!", like the hype is so strong he can't even finish the phrase. Kinda wish they did more character oriented announcers, like they did with Aria. Gargos, Kan-Ra, TJ Combo (Combo's in his name, for crying out loud) or Hisako would've made for soem great announcers. Hell, I would've gladly taken Aganos and listen to him grumble unintelligibly after each combo.
Probably because capcom keeps pouring down money on SFV and there are many e sport players that HAVE to play SFV to get the big buck because it's the only fighting game that has it
This game NEEDS a sequel. I think a lot of people dismissed the first one bc KI had been on the shelf so long and never been known as a refined game to begin with. And the graphics, while cool, look last-gen. And some of the animations are janky. But can you imagine how amazing this would be with current graphics if they gave it a team like 20% as big as MK’s? Cmon Microsoft, you can afford that!
This game kept the arcade feel, so the animations are actually pretty spot on. I think it’s best not to go full realism because that’s when you expect things to be “flawless”. and like MK has proven time and time again, they are not flawless in that aspect. I can’t even begin to explain how stupid it is to be in mid air and get hit by a low kick. Like can you really expect someone not to rage off that? Things like that ruin MK for me. Let’s not get me started on that horrible online button delay, I’m already ranting lol
This game and GG were the BEST Fighters made in the last 5 years, based on mechanics, character design and variety, soundtrack, content... IT NEEDED TO BE SAID
I miss all the Week Of KI videos so much. Tusk, Gargos, and Eyedol stick out as best-ofs for me. Eyedol's design in this game mechanically and lore-wise is probably the coolest for a fighting game character ever.
I must admit besides Ultimate MK3, Killer Instinct (2013) is the most enjoyable fighting game to play. This game has the complete package of offense and defense. Simply one the best fighting games of all time!
KI for Switch would make me very interested...especially if they gave it the "Definitive Edition" treatment like they did on Xbox and just bundle everything together in a simple package

This was the only reason I ever wanted an Xbox having hated the company. I ended up winning an Xbox One in a raffle so ended up buying this game online. I just wish shadow mode was playable offline & that everyone had a story ending and Ultra
fulgor or hisako could be really awesome guest characters in mk11. both I think could fit the gorer aesthetic and can still look good and themselves getting torn apart while also having movesets that work really well with it. like hisakos grab totally could become a good looking crushing blow, and the winscreen for fulgor is basically already looks like a killing blow
i think people didn't give KI anywhere near enough credit...i have an xbox one but i only felt four games were worth getting on it: Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Killer Instinct and Halo Wars 2. true you have to spend a lot of time on the game to unlock costumes and customisation stuff but they really put effort into all that. not to mention other versatile game modes...liek the shadow lord thing.
If you don’t have an Xbox, try to get it on Steam. Trust me dude, if you are or aren’t a fan of fighting games, you’ll LOVE this game. Telling you from experience, best gameplay of your life

I love Killer Instinct so fucking much I honestly wish there was more love for the game sure it's old now but I've been playing it since it came out . I'm not the best but omg it's so much fun even if I lose some matches . The music hypes me up and jesus it's so satisfying to make a comeback in this game. I gave money for Shago and I'm willing to give more money just to see a sequal or a huge updated season .

Fighters are a niche genre. Limiting your series to one system, with minimal marketing, especially a series that doesn't have the brand recognition of something like Smash Bros, is basically shooting yourself in the foot.
