Owen is just too precious! You should definitely do this again! Who knows what there is to find on all that land? Maybe watch some Aquachigger videos for some pointers on metal detecting. This was a fun one :)

Edit: When you were digging up the ground after 4 minutes in the video, you should buy a pinpointer to help you pin point exactly where the metal is, trust me its worth it. I recommend Garret brand.

Yeah! You should, all 3 of ya guys!!!! I recommend also getting the Garrett Waterproof Pinpointer, it is an excellent metal detecting tool.
I used to Metal detect here in the UK and it was so much fun and actually found some interesting items.

I loved this. Im into metal detecting too. Its an old farm there might be a family cenetery on the property. Maybe not the 1940's family but who ever lived on the land before it. It is interesting to see you two searching for stuff. When you find your first indian cent or Barber quarter it becomes more serious . Also keep a trash bag handy for junk. The pointer and garden shovel will help. Rob Finds Treasure does some metal detecting. Since this was your first metal detecting video it was cute. Those of us who watch the various detecting channels are interested in finding treasure and what the environment looks like. You are the master when it comes to magnet fishing.
But will his second time trying be as cute or should he master it before the next video so as not to upset you and the gang of watchers.

I do metal detecting myself in Washington state with you owning a farm that old, You need to get a pinpointer to help you find the small metal objects. You and Owen will enjoy riding up old coins and different objects. Please keep metal detecting(dirt fishing) and magnet fishing.

Great fun metal detecting. A handheld pinpointer will definitely help because the pinpoint on the detector isn’t super accurate. Also lay your detector down and toss the dirt you take out of the hole on it. Some metal is almost impossible to see when it’s dirt encrusted. Just be sure to remove all rings. Most metal detectors only go down about 12”. We have a whole collection of detectors, from a $100 one up to a $7500 one. The expensive one is a special kind that can go down 60’ and also show finds in 3D. It also can locate voids and anomalies in the ground. My husband and I both had White’s metal detectors at one point. His was top of the line and mine was on the lower side of medium. I found as much as he did and mine was much easier to use. Turn it on and go. He had to select a program, ground balance his machine before he could use it. I was already getting signals before he could even start. His just had a more precise reading for the metal composition, with numbers. He found the same “silver” beer cans I did. Some of the old beverage cans had different metals for the top than the sides so it messes with the signal. We have found a lot of axe heads, pick axe heads, and tractor parts. There was once a town in our pasture and stuff comes out all the time.

We buried a fully made plastic skeleton under our deck when we built our house, so whoever rips up the deck next, they’re gonna get a pretty big scare!😂
Watch out for the sub pump sometimes it’s not covered it’s like a manhole filled with water. Do you got a put a fence or a gate around it so no one falls in.
Don’t forgot to put those round things with material underneath all of your furniture feet especially your kitchen chair feet, so it doesn’t scratch the floor…

Good idea to wear gloves when you’re digging anything as a pull tab or glass can easily cut you too!
Keep doing the metal detecting. I've wanted to get one. I'm sure you'll find a lot of cool stuff on the farm. In the spring, when the fields get tilled, I walk & find coins, Indian arrow heads. You should get one of those small handheld detectors. This way, u can put it in the hole u dig. Also, if u can find out if there was an old outhouse. This may sound gross, but there's always stuff in them. The one on my farm had old bottles, coins, and old smoking pipes a bunch of crazy stuff. Sorry for blabbing, but I just wanted to give u some ideas. You're so much fun to watch loved the Halloween joke u played on Owen.

Haha, nice prank! 🤣My in-laws bought a house a few years ago and when they went to plant a tree in their backyard, they dug up a real skull. Not a human one though. The previous owners had buried their dog there. Must have been a huge one with giant teeth. My in-laws have a bunch of Chihuahuas and that skull was more than half the size of them. 😅😅
Makes me want to get my metal detector out and do some hunting. Once you get the hung of it and start finding the good stuff I do believe you'll really enjoy it. I've found some really nice old coins and artifacts with mine enjoy

U gotta watch that cord also that runs to the detector box it really should b wrapped around the shaft of the metal detector all the way up so that u don’t accidentally detect the chord and think it’s a good signal and search for it for an hour before u realize that it was the chord the whole time lol I’ve done it myself when I first started also lol
