The backlog, as I call it, is eternal. We will never be able to pursue everything, but we can live our lives full attempting to do so, alone and together. <3
Literally thinking about this on the way to my hobby-turning-into-job quest, I think I'm sadder when I'm not panicking about being on time always. Maybe it's not supposed to be comfortable, but I don't have to be panicking about moving forward constantly and since it makes me happier to be busy and overwhelmed, then why not enjoy it?? If that makes sense, I don't have to feel bad about having a full log and not getting "enough" done, I can just chill and enjoy the time I spend doing the things because not doing them makes me feel wayyyy worse.
The thing I do to motivate myself to do stuff is to remind myself of the last time I “ran away” from doing a quest and the immese regret and guilt I felt afterwards. To avoid that regret I tackle the quest head on! :)
I totally relate man. It's a simple perspective, but I really appreciated what you had to say. It's nice to know others feel like their quest log is full. We all just gotta get off our asses and get it done haha. Good video man, and nice guitar playing :)
Hey I just came across this video on my CZcams home page. Gotta say: you put into words how I feel from time to time and especially today. Funny how youtube has a way of bringing you the video you need, right when you need it. I have a lot on my quest log and sometimes I spend more time beating myself up over accumulating such a long list or not putting much effort into certain quests instead of, you know, just working through that list! :) Your video reminded me that I just need to take things one at a time and do what I can. No reason I can't pick up old quests or "restart the mission". Thanks for making this and best of luck on your journey!
Yo Van, haven't been to your streams in a little while but this happened to pop up on the front page of youtube for me. May have been a pretty "basic" message as you said but really felt like I needed to hear this right now. So thanks for that and also cool to see what you are up to these days. The RV plans sound kinda crazy but also really cool and I think you should honestly go for it. Even if it doesn't end up being your thing you can always go back to living normally and you will get the satisfaction of knowing you saw it through instead of letting it be a what if. But also obviously make sure you can afford it all before pulling the trigger on it. Anyway hope I can catch you live again someday :D

Yeah I do tend to be a thinker more than a doer too and my quest log only gets bigger and bigger.
