    If you extended the top of the backing 1 inch, the center mass of the pistol would be 1 inch lower and that would diminish the tendency of gravity to pull the pistol outward.

      I got the ct380 and its sold as of yesterday at the gun show. My ct380 was HORRIBLE with malfunctions and issues. I even made a video on the issues of how bad it is just trying to battery Never mind operation. I took a bath but thats to be expected when you sell a gun thats a clam. Kahr im 100 sure has some Great guns the guy at the local store has a smaller 9mm its not a poly framed one and its Super nice its his edc. However the ct380 has a Insanely stiff slide and mine was a lemon? Either way I sold it and got a g42.

    • @JDOCustomLeather
      @JDOCustomLeather  Před 8 lety

      +LiveFreeOrRIP How many rounds did you put through it?

    • @LiveFreeOrRIP
      @LiveFreeOrRIP Před 8 lety

      I shot about 30 or 40 and it was so painful I quit. Every other shot was some kind of malfunction. I was shooting one at a time for a while and it was still failure to eject sometimes with 1 round. At that point I was so turned off It went for sale. A gun dont need a break in for a simple battery. I know you are going to say well kahr says 200 rounds bla bla I dont care. Im not going to waste $80 in ammo to find out the guy is Ultra picky on ammo types its gone. Call me different I want ANY of my guns to function on most common ammos or ill fine one that will Hence my g42. I can deal with the occasional issue but that kahr was a Nightmare. NOT worth it and lesson learned. The gun is NOT broken It shoot the One ammo perfectly and on the battery test it was 50 out of 50 no jams. So dont bother saying you gun needs to be broken in and its broken and its this or that I dont care its GONE sold outta here. Now some kahr pistols might be great for others the ct380 to me is a Junk and not worth the scrap metal it was made out of. ps I made a video of it..Check it out.

      @JDOCustomLeather  Před 8 lety

      +LiveFreeOrRIP Sorry for your experience, I cleaned mine very well before I shot it and it only had a few malfunctions, then it shot fine every time.

    Unless I missed something, it looks like you didn't use any glue where you stitched the two pieces together. Is it just not necessary? Most other holster makers that I've seen use a type of glue along the stitching lines.

    Nice work, looks great. I had one question, do you ever have issues with not putting a lining on the inside of the holster? I heard it can cause some wear on the pistol over time. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

    • @JDOCustomLeather
      @JDOCustomLeather  Před 8 lety

      +xmourtissx Never had an issue with it. I had a Ruger P95 and made a similar holster for it, you might get a little dye on it from time to time but it wipes off easily with gun cleaning oil, or you could just not dye the inside. Also, you're not going to get any wear on a pistol that is stainless steel or plastic like a Glock, you might get wear on a gun that has been painted or has a dip coating though.
