@@pilot7350 Tunneling is where the killer gets tunnel-vision for one survivor and doesn't see anyone else (This also happens when one survivor is bad at hiding). Camping usually is defined as either face-camping (staring directly at the survivor on hook) or proxy-camping (staying within the proximity of the hook). However, if all the survivors are around the hook with the survivor and the killer starts chasing them, the survivors will also frequently call foul on that, despite giving the killer no reason to walk away since everyone else is right there.
@@Mr_Dancy_Pants thats a lie majority of the time thats the excuse killers use to to camp but yall forget about perks like kindred or swfs when we literally see nobody around the hook
@TYLER Well, with gen rushing being what it is now, watching two gens pop before you've even found the survivors is expected.
@TYLER Perhaps I am. I do pretty well as killer, but with the existence of a Commodius toolbox, BNP, Built To Last, Prove Thyself; generators don't take any time at all for two people to complete unless they're absolutely fumbling their skill checks.
It's a different case with Lethal Pursuer, but aura perks are quite a crutch for killers. But I've repeatedly had two generators pop before I even crossed the map to get to the survivors before as a slower killer.

Byron is Playtechs delivery man, who takes every package to the waste dump.
I like how the hook is right through his heart - "Are you OK?" "I'm OK, but I think he's tunneling me."
I tried playing as a killer for a while and honestly, it can be so hard. I was so happy whenever I finally saw someone that I would just do my best to get them, I most definitely did not have the luxury to choose who to go after (in fact, I couldn't really even tell them apart). So I sometimes ended up essentially accidentally tunnelling people. 🤦♀
When survivors do the thing where they run of quartet of same cosmetics Nea, it's no longer my fault if someone gets tunnelled.
I wouldn't be apologetic. I imagine 90% of people who cry "Tunneling!" are people who aren't very good at the game and the killer naturally takes the path of least resistance.
Don't worry about it. As a killer main, I end up tunneling people sometimes and I never mean anything by it. Usually it's because they keep running into me shortly after being unhooked, but sometimes if they're harassing me with flashlights and pallet stuns and what-not, I'll gladly remove the thorn from my side if they let me get the chance lol.
I think at times tunnelling can't be helped. While I do actively try to avoid singling out a player to hunt down and kill, there are times where I end up chasing the same player. But if a player gets unhooked when I am close by, I at least do the decent thing and go after the one who did the unhooking. It's no fun for the player who gets hooked if they don't get a chance to breathe and die early in the match.
Only times I intentionally target a single player is if I think they're either being toxic, or I have a mission to mori kill one. But with the latter, even then, by playing normally that can be completed naturally.
I mean... It's the logical thing to do. Should you hook the player who got unhooked he is going to die quicker which is going to give you an advantage. That's the point of playing killer. Fucking killing!
I really love how you guys have actually pretty good knowlegde about the game. Makes it even funnier.

For those of you watching and wondering what "NOED" is.
"No One Escapes Death" is a perk that activates when all generators are done. It allows killers to down you in one hit.
It's a perk that the survivor community considers a crutch perk used by bad killers and is overall frowned upon since, even a terrible killer, could attain a victory with that perk alone.
-
Edit#2: TUNNELING (What is it?), a handful of you wanna know. The killer hooks people and takes away 1 out of 3 lives they have, that's the gameplay loop. Killer can either chase the person who was unhooked, or the player/s who unhooked them. Tunneling refers to focusing on only the unhooked player, or one player in particular ( even going as far as ignoring someone in front of them ) until that player run out of lives, then they tunnel the next person until they are dead too. It works more effectively at lower levels, mostly because the person that's unhooked hasn't healed up to full and will go down in one hit, but tunneling makes the killer focus too much on chasing, and less on more beneficial opportunities like getting the others from completing the generators, and it really sucks for the person being tunneled no matter what level they play at.
Edit#1: For you veterans of the game, calm your trousers. This is an overall short description of NOED. I know there's also people who would argue about it's mechanics not being that powerful because survivors can disable the hex totems that activates it in the first place before completing generators making it waste of a perk slot against a good, coordinated group of survivors, who might in fact, not even get caught by the killer to be hit with it to begin with.
We know people, we know. But they don't. 😉
Thank you! Literally came down to the comments to figure this out. I was figuring it was gonna be something like all 4 survivors have to be alive to escape, and that's why he'd only be bothering with one of them. Now THAT would be scummy

It’s accurate but it’s more in the sense of whenever the game doesn’t go the survivors way it will be against the infamous “survivor rulebook”
@@Grebolexa I hate tunneling and I like when the killer doesn't target a specific survivor but still puts pressure on everyone because you don't know who's next
@@medicc2854 yeah I’m not saying that you should tunnel someone but sometimes it’s the only person you find and what do you expect me to do then? Should I just ignore the person I found because it’s the person that I hooked last time and intentionally leave myself with not knowing where anyone is. And sometimes you have to because you need the pressure. It can’t always be easy for the survivors and sometimes it’s hard for killers yet killers can’t ask survivors to not do gens fast because they need to while the killer isn’t allowed to kill a person fast because they need to. It’s such a biased opinion on both sides and yes it’s not fun for whoever gets affected but most times it’s not intentionally against specific people and sometimes you need to confirm a kill because you need pressure against good survivors
@@Grebolexa that and the fact that it makes sense going after the one that has already been hooked before. Its just logic decision making: Secure an almost safe kill or go for a complete fresh survivor?
@@Grebolexa if all you found was the injured survivor then sure I can see the point but the way games been going for a while now it's the above scenario to a t. Killer has the option between the unhooked survivor and their unhooker and will go after the injured instead of actually applying more pressure by going after the other. If you have three people uninjured and you go after the hooked person that's still three healthy people doing gens. If you go after the healthy person instead of tunneling you're denying one healthy person from working and making one unhealthy have to spend time healing themselves or occupy two people's time healing. In Trappers defense, according to Rowan saying "last generator", there must have only been 1 gen left. And if Rowan had only been hooked the 1st time, Trapper may have needed to get the game back under his control.
Also, the Ace could have tried to body block or take the aggro, instead of running off in another direction.
Just pointing out, Trapper was playing it smart
He was definitely tunneling, but the terror radius wasn't active so the survivors should have ran after the unhook

As soon as I hooked someone the team was there to have them off the hook within seconds of him being hooked and I'd give chase to whoever I found first....turns out who I found first was always the same guy and he made it easy to catch him, much easier than the others in that game. Afterwards he sent me a message cussing me out for camping him which I guess now a days he would have said Tunneling him. To be honest I am too crap at that game to just stay on one person I just run after whoever I find.
Tbh, there's nothing wrong in this so called intentional "tunneling". The survivors are just gonna bìtch about something. It's a fine strategy to target a wounded survivor because of his slow speed.
Tbh this one wasn't your fault, you couldn't know who is who by look alone
If I get same skin survivors, especially when you see them in the lobby coordinating, then I make zero effort to not tunnel them. "Damn, I got you twice in a row? Sorry bruh, couldn't tell yas apart, not my problem"
Don't feel bad for playing the game. Do what you gotta do to win. Never let another player dictate how you play any game. If you're within the ToS then there is no problem.
