The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis: Book Review

  • How can a good God let bad things happen? "The Problem of Pain", was not the book I thought it would be! I've heard this question over and over again and expected this book to give similar cliche answers to this problem. Instead C.S. Lewis went on a deep dive into existence itself. What is man? What is free will? How could we live without conflict? Does the existence of pain prove God to be unjust?

Wouldn’t person B die if person A got all the good things though?

I am absolutely doing, “The Abolition of Man.” I’ve actually been studying up because there’s so much to talk about.
