I can honestly say Mr Moslem and Mrs Maryam that is very good of both of you to teach your children right from wrong. The behavior of children reflect on the parents. But it really made me sad to see the boys crying. It was hard for me because I love your children so much!! They are good kids I can not deny that. We didn't see the entire conversation of talking about marriage with Nemat. Sure there are people with different disabilities who do get married and have successful lives. Unfortunately Nemat's condition isn't one that he can care for himself or anyone else. This doesn't stop him from having the desire as others. He's a good honest man and takes care of his family for whatever is best for his household. As far as discipline for children in his country and culture he is well within his rights. I remember way back maybe a year ago. When I saw his son do something to Nemat when they were playing football, and he got spanked that someone was going to have a problem with it. I can honestly say Mr Moslem and Mrs Maryam that is very good of both of you to teach your children right from wrong. The behavior of children reflect on the parents. But it really made me sad to see the boys crying. It was hard for me because I love your children so much!!

Подзатыльники, не самый лучший метод воспитания. Это о говорит о бессилии родителя достучаться до ребенка словами. Но если он по другому не умеет, тогда не нужно это делать на камеру. Он унизил личность ребенка перед миллионами зрителей. Если он действительно хотел что то донести до детей, это нужно делать вне камеры, чтобы об этом знала только своя семья, а не весь мир. We didn't see the entire conversation of talking about marriage with Nemat. Sure there are people with different disabilities who do get married and have successful lives. But you have to also take into consideration that there are different levels of conditions that can reduce the risk of a regular life. Unfortunately Nemat's condition isn't one that he can care for himself or anyone else. This doesn't stop him from having the desire as others. So just because you've seen or known of others, it's not true for Nemat. His family knows him and his situation better than us viewers. Now as far as Mr. Moslem's family. He's a good honest man and takes care of his family for whatever is best for his household. As far as discipline for children in his country and culture he is well within his rights. I remember way back maybe a year ago. When I saw his son do something to Nemat when they were playing football, and he got spanked that someone was going to have a problem with it. He's not done anything against the law for his country and it's actually none of our business how he chooses to raise his children. There were several lessons he taught his children today but I'm sure you don't get it. As far as any embarrassment of the children for being filmed whilst this was happening maybe they will think twice before disobeying their father again. How can anyone think this is not a real family ..no drama just real live issues that most of us have had in our own lives ...tough love is hard to carry out on your children since you are so honest and your child did something that goes all your teachings .. but at the same time i know exactly how Maryam is feeling my heart was breaking with her , only a mother knows the pain one feels for her child even though Muslim was in the right to scold his son ...sometimes children need a firm hand in order to learn right from wrong

As Moslem said, "A child who steals walnuts today will steal a camel tomorrow".....The Police and jail will not be as compassionate as Maryam......They should be punished........I do not agree with hitting them, but they should be given extra chores to do.....If they have time to get in trouble, they have time to work....

Mr. Moslem you are a hardworking, honest charitable man. A wonderful husband and father. You are correct Nemat should never marry, drive or own a car! He is not capable of caring for a family, earn a living or driving.
As for disciplining your sons for stealing walnuts, you did the correct thing. You warned them not to steal! As for your son who fought you, he should receive another punishment. He was very disrespectful. You and Maryam should have a united front when it comes to discipline. As a mother, I may have disagreed with my husband, but I never contradicted him in front of the children. Nemat should be disciplined just like you do your children!
I agreed with you about giving another punishment to your kid coz he shouts back at you n disrespect you. Your children should respect you n never ever raise their voice towards you. It shows that he's not afraid of you as a father. Please explain to your children why you need to punish them.
I too never contradicted my husband when he was correcting/disciplining our kids. I felt it would only confuse our kids so I would wait it out till me & my husband were alone, and then we'd talk about it (well, maybe he talk and I shout).

By the way, I need to correct something here in middle East, I am Lebanese Armenian. We kiss our kids from the mouth from the face. We hug them we kiss them we give them love and support but unfortunately in America or out west they think when you kiss your children from the mouth, it’s horrible, but that’s not correct. We are used to kiss our children from face from mouth to hug them. Kiss them give them love and support. That’s the right thing to do. I don’t care what other people say.
