Black Screen or Unresponsive display Fix for Note 5

This is a easy fix for the black screen issue on the Note 5 or any other Samsung device that has a built in battery or Non-removable battery to get your display working gain. The black screen issue causes your display to go black or blank and unresponsive. You can hear texts and phone calls coming in but nothing will show on the display. The LED notifications will also flash at the top of the screen but nothing else.

i tried it and at first i didnt work so i took my sim card out the phone. when i tried it again it worked and told me to restart my phone because it couldnt read my sim. once i reset it my phone worked like new

Try to press volume down and volume up and on Button all at the same time and your phone should on..... if your phone has a blue light on it but still not turning on than that means your motherboard have a problem............hope it work

How do you know if it’s time to change the battery besides it’s not charging. I have the blk screen but did what you did in your video and nothing. Only tine the lights come on is when it’s plugged in the charger

When you do this is takes your phone back to factory reset. I was unaware of that and have now lost all photos in my gallery, google photo and my notes. If I knew there was a chance this would happen I would not have tried this. it did not fix my phone and I had to replace the LED.

This is not a fix. What's causing the issue is still there. You just gave all the different ways to restart the phone. Where only the power+vol down should really be used for this. The others are for recovery or to install a new OS. People could really screw up their phone going into those modes, not knowing when they are doing or without direction from their phone provider or repair center.
Don't get why you spent half the video repeating over and over again, that it was really a Note 5. The same reset will also work help the black screen issue on all Galaxy Phones with non removable battery. However none of these are actually a fix fot this problem.

I got the same message to install a new OS, but you have the option to cancel and then restart your phone as normal, which why my phone works now. If someone messes this step up, it is because they are not reading. Lastly, people tend to repeat themselves during a demonstration to reinforce what they are teaching. This strategy helps strengthen the subject at hand. The tone in your comment sounds critical and adverse.

Spent all that time making a video for a solution that you THINK will work. Not so. Its a memory loop problem that all samsung phones have. Best solution is to backup your phone, when it is working, to a cloud and then upgrade to s7, s8 or note8 wich comes out in september 2017. Then you can remove the battery to reset the phone.
