I remember the 3650 not being so wee! Around here a 3050 would have been a big tractor! A 36 would have been a monster!!

A local contractor near me ran a fleets of 50 series Deeres in the late 90s and the 3650 was the flagship, she was a big tractor back then pulling the 10X up our narrow roads 😂

We run two 2450's on a arable farm, one is turbo converted with 7000hrs and one is orignal with 8500 hrs. The 30 years they have ran they have not missed a single beat, just finished re-sealing both hydrolic pumps and they are now running steady at 220 bar, both are also rebuilt with 4 spool valves at the back. They have no problem tipping the 10 ton grain trailers during the harvest. Sad to hear you guys have had such problems with the 3650!

We have the same problem with ours but we put a combine engine in her and wacked a turbo on her and she tips like a dream 👍

Hard to tell in the video but should try using remote #1 for constant flow like tipping a trailer. #1 keeps oil in the pressure side of the system and #2 returns oil to the transmission

Our 3650 has a similar problem with lack of oil so we have an additional oil tank or the 3point so she can run the wrapper

If the brakes go the dust off the brakes gets into the hydraulic pump that could possibly have happened before ye had it

Don’t know if you’ve tried this but I do know they old Deere’s needed more oil in the back end for double ram trailers even the new ones need overfilled to tip them

  • @torbenalstrup3902

When a tractor is poorly maintained from day one it is really difficult, time and money consuming, if even financially sound to get it back to a properly working tractor, no matter the brand. That said, the hydraulic system was probably the weakest point in these models. If you did not run top of the line oil in them and changed it on a regular basis you could soon find yourself in trouble. But if you did do proper maintenance they held up reasonably fair. Back in the day a good friend of mine had one of those as his main tractor on a 250 Ha & 160 cow farm. It was even souped up with another turbo and fuel pump plus an intercooler, better radiators etc. to boast 160 pto hp. Field weighted up by 1400 kg and pulled a 7 x 16 Kverneland, hauled a 15T slurrywagon with power to spare. It did just over 11000 hrs before it was traded in for a new 7930. Engine still ran great, transmission showed signs of wear and the second hydraulic pump was tired.

This tractor made me question the feasibility of buying a modern classic. I thought jd were bomb proof especially this era of deere. Still looks good though. But I’d prefer a turbo’d Ford 8210
