If they are good, it's worth it. I've had Rubio's lobster tacos. Very sweet. (prefer fish) Never had the rolls.

I'm glad Jamie is feeling better! I hope she gets back to 100% soon. I've also never had a lobster roll, but I've eaten plenty of lobster in my life. I love seafood. $20 for a roll seems like a fair price.
Yeah we thought the $20 seemed fair too, considering the ones we saw in Boca Grande were over $30. Of course the one in Boca Grande may have had twice as much lobster on it. One of the cool things about making these videos is it makes us try a lot of things we otherwise would probably never try, and we're glad we paid the $20 for the lobster roll!

Thanks so much, Greg! The amount of mayo on the roll was quite small, barely noticeable, so we didn't mind it. That said, would have been happy with just lobster and melted butter because the lobster itself was so good! We hope you get a chance to try one for yourself, as well as a strawberry cheesecake vampire penguin at Cecelia's!

Dr Leverone said it Relieves pain, bcuz it "Regenerates" & "Reconnects" the nerve cells. And I sleep better too... The chandelier in the ballroom in the Vinoy was made by Chihuly. Just remembered. Went to dinner once around 2005 or so. Beautiful. God BLESS you folks. 💖

If you like to eat out, FL is the place... If you like to hike, AZ, CO and UT are best..

True on the hiking, but I don't think too many people visit Florida for it's hiking. It's the beaches, sunsets, warm weather, watersports, Disney, and a bunch of other things that attract people to the state. There's also some great hiking in the eastern US around the Appalachian Trail, but definitely hard to beat AZ, CO, and UT. Thanks for watching!

We REALLY enjoyed the lobster roll we had, but still won't be forking over $20+ for one too often. It really is a lot to pay for a sandwich! The Vampire Penguin (such a weird name) really is an interesting consistency. It's much lighter than ice-cream (so you can eat more of it), but still very flavorful! If you ever make it up to the states, it's definitely worth a try!
Nope, never had a lobster roll, they're too costly for me! Those boxes & vampire desserts are amazing!!

Yeah, Graze Craze (the charcuterie) really is a cool concept. The owner plans to open more around the area if the first one does well, and we're sure it will! We're so happy that Jamie is able to get out and about again too. I love me a lobster roll :) Prefer it hot with garlic butter, one of my fave restaurants in London (Hawksmoor in Seven Dials) has it on their bar menu. That with some triple-cooked chips = good eating :)

Born and raised in Maine, our lobster men and women work very hard, it’s not only dangerous work but keeping up the maintenance on their boats is extremely expensive. Love you videos and I’ll be down to St. Pete beach in May🥳🥳

Yes, both drinks and atmosphere at Cane and Barrel were great. The charcuterie idea is really cool, and it sounds like in time there will likely be more opening up around the area. I wouldn't be surprised if they make it into your area soon too (if they haven't already).

You guys have been certainly helpful with me and my husband's date nights! We went to the Drunken Clam Friday. It was a good and chill dive bar 😄 Mason's is on my top. I've never had a lobster roll and love lobster.
Yes, Drunken Clam is an awesome spot. We were just there again a few weeks ago! Mason's seems to be a great option for someone who's never tried a lobster roll before, as the price seems to be less expensive than most lobster rolls around the area. We really loved ours!

Yes... the #1 key requirement to a long lasting marriage... drinking together 😂 And we've actually found that we'd probably have to do one of these videos every 1 or 2 months to keep up with all the new places, which ultimately would be too much $$$ and way too many calories!
In 2019, I had the Lobster 🦞 Roll in Maine on a road trip. It was great. Yeah, they are $20, but it’s worth it if you have one every once in a while. Yeah, I need to stop at that Mason’s one day. Nice video!
That's pretty much what we thought. Definitely won't be buying one every day, but still worth it. We can't wait to make it up to Maine someday to try an even fresher one!

It's pretty good cheese, isn't it? It's red wine that gives it that purple color.
Lobster rolls are pretty good too. I understand why they're expensive though you only can get so much out of the lobster tail. There's two different versions. You can find a variation in Maine and a different variation in Connecticut.

You are probably right on the cheese. We thought it was maybe blueberry, but it definitely could have been grapes. Either way it was delicious. And yeah, I've never seen a cheap lobster roll, and if I did, I'd probably be hesitant to eat it! The kind we tried was definitely the Maine version, so we'll have to keep an eye out for the Connecticut version so we can try that too. We're really glad you found our channel too! I've basically been comparing all drinks to that one ever since I had it lol. It was that good.
Hi Jamie and Skylar, as a long time subscriber I wanted to say thank you for all the good content you post on your channel. What I don't understand is why you didn't get a porcelain mug for your refreshment and silverware to eat with at the Vinoy? It is expensive and you get a plastic fork and a cardboard cup ? Really? I like the Mofa cafe, I have been to the Museum very often and I like sitting outside and enjoy food and drinks and they serve the food on porcelain plates and you got silverware, thats very good and environmental friendly.
We will be in St. Pete in october and november and we will check some of the new places out when we are there.

Yeah at those prices it would be reasonable to expect some fancier dishes... but we will say that was probably the highest quality plastic silverware that we've ever seen 😂The Mofa sounds really nice. Hi Jamie and Skylar. Thank you for another great video, you find such neat places, and a great variety. Is it the places that you visited in this episode or have prices really been going up?
Thank you Ben! Regarding the prices, it's honestly a bit of both. I'd say the new businesses in this video leaned a little higher end than they normally do, but the prices overall in St. Pete are definitely going up. It's not at all uncommon for menu items at a restaurant to be 20% higher than they were a couple years ago, but when rent, taxes, and wages keep going up, it almost always gets passed on to the customer!

The price is fine to try it ut Hot but I think in general it is over priced unless you are in New England. Sorry about the nerve pain try a Muscular Skeletal Tharapist they work more wnders than Dr.. I blew out my L5 23 years ago and had it partially removed but I still have days of pain. Streching it out seems to work best for me you know push on a bruise.
That's kind of what we thought. It was worth the price, but not something we'll be eating on a regular basis. But when we do finally make it to England, we'll be sure to try one there! Sorry to hear about your back issues. Jamie is finally at the point where she can walk for extended periods of time (still can't sit), but every days seems to be getting a bit better now so we are very thankful!

Hello, Amanda! Congrats on the move back to Florida. We're so happy you discovered our channel and that is is helping you to get re-acquainted with the area! We generally stay put here in downtown St. Pete on 4th of July since the islands tend to be a little crazy, but we're wondering if it might not be too bad this year since the 4th is on a Monday? Either way, we'll be watching the fireworks here in downtown St. Pete. They always put on a good show!
@@Explorcation We tried to go to Sandbar Bill’s but parking was nuts! You’re right about today! Traffic isn’t bad but parking is tough. We lucked out and found a place at Pass a Grille. Do you know of another good burger place with a parking lot?

I just found your channel, thank you so much for sharing. I loved Graze Craze it looked so fresh. We’re planning a road trip in September to Florida from the UK. I think I have planned our stops on East Coast but I’m struggling with the Gulf Coast and your videos are helping me. We are like you guys tiki bars and sand in our feet. We loved the Keys, Destin, Pensacola and Siesta Key on previous visits.
Unfortunately Sanibel Island is not possible right now but if you had 10 days on the Gulf/West Coast where would you recommend? I feel staying in Naples would push us over budget though.
We're so happy that you discovered our channel and that it's helping you plan out your Florida Gulf Coast travels! Well since you've already been to Siesta Key, we'd definitely recommend Longboat/Anna Maria, St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Indian Rocks/Indian Shores, Venice, Manasota Key, Don Pedro Island, Crystal River, and Homosassa Springs. That's probably more of a 20 day itinerary though for most people... but it gives you some options!

We would have stayed on Longboat Key but the Labor Day weekend would take us over our $200 (max) budget a night accommodation. We will be coming from Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is there a activity/state park you would recommend en route ? We were thinking of taking the 27 to avoid hitting traffic around Naples, do you agree?
@@peaches79 Sarasota is a great location to be able to visit Siesta, Longboat and Anna Maria. It is not surprising to us that Longboat was so expensive!
We haven't spent too much time in Naples to be able to comment on the traffic, but we would recommend Corkscrew Swamp or CREW Wildlife. I believe you can take 75 to 29 to visit those areas. If you haven't seen our Naples episode yet I would recommend checking it out, we do visit both of those parks. Their experiences are very different, so it could help you decide if either are worth your time :)
