  • Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your Alienware 17 R1 Model P18E laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    Have fun and good luck!!

alienware 17 r1, backlight from screen turned on but no image, just bright black (if that makes sense), the computers seems to start fine but i got no picture, does that has something to do with LCD?, Flex Cables?, Graphics card (gtx 770m) or motherboard?

Could b many more things. First thing first, you can plug it into an external screen and check if it works on an external screen. Make sure the screen is set to HDMI or auto. If that works, it is pretty much the screen itself or cable or connector on the motherboard. You could buy a complete screen and try it. The complete screen is less fragile and easy to test with. Seller wouldn't be happy to get it back, but if you offer to cover shipping back and pack it well - it should be alright. And if the complete screen works - you will just keep it.
Replacing just a panel can be much harder depending on the model of a laptop etc and many other things can be damaged in the process.
If you are getting no video on the external monitor - it could be a bad motherboard or maybe memory or GPU but since many components aren't removable - essentially a bad motherboard.
      Sorry for the late response.

Hello, I have the same module the Alienware 17 R1. The laptop keeps turning off and windows is saying it's a battery issue. Now the only issue im having is finding a replacement battery. If you can please send me a link or some way to help me find one that will be great! Also, you just gained a sub and hope you're having a good day!

Hello, I am wondering if it is a cmos battery or a regular laptop battery.
Both batteries can be replaced but cmos is harder. I will look for batteries on eBay. But will concentrate on local sellers rather than bulk sellers etc. But this is up to you. Thank you for subscribing!!!

@@regazzz Well does a laptop have a battery and a cmos battery? When I watched vids I never seen a cmon battery. Well if it does have a cmos battery and a normal battery just send me both links. That would help so much beacuse idk where to start. I do know I need a new battery beacuse the battery is at 47% so the battery is slowly going bad which they do recommend changing it after it gets around 50-40% of the battery life. And thank you so much! It does really mean alot for the help!!

@@Horror2Goofy If you see that your battery is getting bad and it is loosing power quickly, maybe a new battery will help.
I would simply go to eBay.com and search for the "name of your laptop battery"
Choose what you want to buy and that's it.
