If he let heavy mech support save his cyber dragon it was the better play. Would have probably led to her using Shadow Spell, then he could've followed that up with the defusion. Still would be able to attack with both Cyber Dragons and probably get her to use up the negate attack also. Classic Zane move and optimal too. And Zane would always want to play the most optimally.

Yeah you may have lost the third round but you accomplished even summoning blue eyes ultimate and a god card in two separate games that something many players can’t even say.
That first round he really went Zane on her. It was like watching Zane and Jaden’s first duel. He even summoned both Cyber Dragon and Twin Cyber Dragon to prevent her from getting any hits in. Depleting her health as quickly as possible. *That’s exactly how Zane duels.*

To be fair, Kaiba never beat Yugi because the "King of games" can´t stop cheating with the milenium puzzle. His power is to literally "wish for the perfect card". People out there using ancient magic, and kaiba plays like a player, not a mage.
Well, also to be fair to Yugi, Kaiba would've won at least one of those duels if he didn't pull a Vegeta and want to win in a specific way in a few duels. Also IIRC Base Yugi beat Kaiba in the duel they had after the pharaoh departed, no puzzle required.
Only reason Kiaba haven't won is due to protagonist Plot Armor.

When you get different era decks. It might be a good Idea to balance the deck just a little bit. Cyber Dragons are somuch better vs Vanilla Blue Eyes. with just a couple of “Ancient Rules” and maybe the Twin fusion blueeyes might have been balaced it a little more.

When I first saw Zane on Yugioh the TV show from Kids WB, he was so hardcore and cool.
That Capsule banishes a card for effect, but it only returns if the Capsule is face up in the field.

To be honest this was not fair at all, I still really enjoyed it. I think the next duel could be Rafael vs Yami or Joey
I think if you're going to pit Rafael against someone, Jack Atlas might be the best option. Both of them have one or two specific monsters that they always try to bring out, and then once that monster is in play, they fight tooth and nail to protect that monster (like Rafael with Guardian Eatos, and Jack with his signer dragon). Could be a good contrast to how most other characters tend to just be like *"Oh, my ace died? Oh well. Time to use a different ace monster."* when their ace monster(s) get taken out.

I´m just a casual yugifan and from mexico,so greetings; I get such a nostalgia with the "put your game on" phrase, also the profile videos and the opening i can learn a little about the actual yugioh, it´s crazy but it´s kinda fun also
I'm a little disappointed that you used the De-Fusion prematurely (the equipment would've stopped it from getting destroyed anyway 😅)
But, as far as punishments go... lower should get put in a dunk tank. And a duel I really want to see is Zane vs his "ruthless" self; all the Cyberdarks and whatever else.
You should do a rematch of this duel with Zane's deck when he incorporated the cyber dark engine and see what happens
It could easily be set up as a DSOD Kaiba vs Hell Kaiser Zane duel. Each rival has the strongest version of their respective decks to clash head-to-head.

in all honesty, i think this was a bit of an unfair duel, i belive it would have been more balanced if Jen had used the dark side of dimensions deck instead of battle city

The issue I personally have with Zane's deck is that it doesn't have that many good trap or spell cards that can help you defend yourself against your opponent. I don't remember if Zane ever played things like Magic Cylinder or Mirror Force. 🤔
i mean cyber dragons whole gimmick is to attack you into oblivion. they are mainly an otk deck thats how zane used them
Just like a blue eyes deck If u notice all rivals all have otk decks lol, season 3 Jack n his red dragon archfiend, season 4 what's his name with galaxy eyes dragons, season 5 what's hos name with DDD, n idk about 6 n above
WOW Blue-eyes vs Cyber dragon. My two favorite archetypes from the game. I would love to see a battle between those decks at full force, with all the supports you can get for both.

In Greece we tattoo ourselves with Asian letters (most of the times with unfortunate or unsuccessful meaning) and we think it's cool. Once I learned that Atem could alter the game into his favor with his puzzle, I understood completely why Kaiba tried to bring him back because the pharaoh was cheating with plot armor.
