I think “Arn I swear on my beautiful mothers eyes if you don’t shut up I’m gouging your eye out” might be one of the best lines I’ve ever heard dropped in a promo.

I've just come from reading that as well, thought I may as well relive this moment. His promo with Punk just gone as well, incredible. That article was amazing, and inspiring despite it being a difficult read. If you've struggled with mental health bad, you've got to think Eddie is such fantastic person for putting that out there and being a role model.
My family is from Yonkers, and I grew up in the area.
Eddie ain't acting, and this ain't no joke. He's the real deal.
I have never wanted a wrestler to succeed more in my whole life, and he got a whole lot of people back home he's making proud.

After reading his story in The Player's Tribune, I had to find this video. Talk about grinding. AEW was how I discovered Eddie Kingston. I remember watching this live. It hits different after knowing the story behind the man.

He is active in AAW (not to be confused with AEW) where is former World Champion and tag team Champion with Jeff Cobb and David Starr. AAW is one of the best indy promotion in US along with PWG.

He was with Santana and Ortiz as LAX before they left Impact. He got in a feud with them trying to get the old LAX together with Hernandez and Homicide, but they lost. Then he went to NWA with Homicide and they were tag partners; now he's here

Eddie Kingston, I hope you see this, but if you don't that's OK. Your story in the Player's Tribune has rekindled the hope that I have had broken down during the past five years. I'm a military veteran with PTSD, I've lost a parent to pancreatic cancer, and am now losing my other parent to lung cancer. These past years have been tough. Wrestling has saved me from depression, and now you Eddie, are giving me hope again and reminding me not to quit. Thank you for not being a character on TV, but a real person and a man who has fought his own demons and keeps pushing.

This Cody/Kingston stuff was super awesome and the best part of the show. Believable smacktalk, emotion that carried through the match, blood and sweat, not too long, and even the camera work was great with long takes that let me actually see what they were doing and making me feel like I was there. More of this and less cringey stuff will have me tuning in to TNT every week.
October 2021, The Mad King is one of the most beloved wrestlers in AEW.
What’s crazy is Eddie has been the one of the most underrated talkers in wrestling for YEARS now. He has that rare ability to make you believe and hang on every word he says.

It’s insane to think that he planned on 2020 being his last year in wrestling; he basically said if he didn’t get something going that he’d sell out and get a regular job to support his family! Thank god he got signed after this match and now we’ve had 3 years of some of the best promos we’ve ever seen!
you can blame mox and brodie for that. eddie said that before he went out there, he was just gonna do it for the money. he wasn't expecting to be sign. then brodie comes up to him and slaps, saying "where's eddie? i don't know you." mox comes up next to him and tells him to go out and kick ass. fired up, eddie grabs the mic and gets ready to go. brodie smiles and says "there's eddie".
