I need a girl that looks at me the way roger looks at the guests when they're talking.
😂😂😂😂
That's because he is drinking during all the episodes
Gonz Wouldgo, that was the Stevie episode, come on now
Hah
hahaha!!!
Jamie Thomas is a legend. Watched this episode like 10 times
fucking hell. 3 hours with the chief. Couldn't ask for anything more. I fucking luv Mondays.
It blows my mind how much I learn from these interviews
i need drinking

Awesomeness!!!!!
As a 40yr old man now… I can appreciate this so much more. What an amazing story teller. Jamie definitely should write an autobiography!
You can do it! Build a 12 foot half pipe and drop in!
Dude…
we need part 2.... Monster trucks? black widow? insight? slave? christianity? chris cole’s style? elissa steamer on and off zero? roark?
costradelmal upvote for part 2
DUDE YES
FUCK YEAHHH
maybe in the nine club experience
$lave has nothing to do with Jamie but I would love to hear about Monster trucks.
I'm super stoked he went into so much detail. This is Jamie Thomas? He was instrumental in changing skateboarding. I'll take any crumb he has to give out. People complaining about him going on too much are obviously uneducated of the importance of what he is saying
Preach bro. Jamie Thomas was always my favorite skater. Since i was a little kid man. I was at a Zero demo when i was like 10, signed my board and I remember he was doing somethin, I was right on the sidelines and his board slipped out, went flying and hit my moms shin lmfao, it was awesome.
He was super apologetic tho, very cool dude👍
@@day245 haters gonna hate
My fiancé got me a signed leap of faith poster wishing me a happy birthday and the first he signed the wrong name and he resent me another one with my name for free. The chief is an absolute chief. Thank you so much Jamie!!
I'd like to wish the editor a good night after slaving away on a 3 and a half hour podcast. We appreciate the hard work, now get some damn sleep. This episode is gold.
HERE HERE!!!
They don’t edit these live?
@Bennybass You're joking right? This is a 4 camera, 4 mic setup. I would love to see you handle the editing, big guy.
Totally agree. There’s tons of editing that go into this and if you can’t see that or appreciate it then fuck off and go watch your CZcams pranksters since they need your editing criteria
I think that Crob edits them or at this point it might have been Rog, idk but as of now when I'm writing this, Crob and Rog both edit them
The stories Jamie tells... Classic 90's skate rat stuff. Love it. What a great time in skateboarding history.
yeah man, totally agree with you on that.
Indeed this could be a sick book. But honestly podcast makes it so much more. Like. ...idk. better. He could have recorded these stories and charged like 5 bucks per download. But the other guys help bring the shit along and get him talking and asking questions and shit.
Story about The Muska put such a big smile on my face. Sorry I'm 4 years late.
All of these stories involving Muska are awesome. The Muska needs to join The Nine Club alumni.
After watching the nine club a lot, I love the ongoing theme of Chris mentioning his heel flip in welcome to hell. I want a tshirt of Chris with a speech bubble that says “I was in welcome to hell”.
That would be a dope shirt!!
This channel is so crazy like all of my childhood heroes opening up n telling the whole story. Like when i was skating there was just magazines but not really any media interviews that were really in depth.
Just keeps getting better and better. Suggestion - every guest has to bring some item, like an old board or some memorabilia, get into some show-and-tell action.
please do this, talking is great but seeing physical items are way better
3 and a half hours still didn't do his story justice. This podcast was awesome and cant wait for part 2!
If I was high itd be hard to keep composure around Chris he’s funny as hell
No hes not hes a complete dork and Im pretty sure Jamie is more laughing at him than with him.
Jason lee ... that is all
j f yes, get Jason Lee and Mark Gonzales
Jason Lee!!!
why you want my name is earl dude on a skate show lol what a kook this is skateboarding lol .
Tyson Rinker your probably joking but if not he used to be pro
I'm confused. So there's a Jason Lee that was a pro skater and a Jason Lee that was an actor. But they are two different people? Why would you want the my name is Earl guy on the show? And not the one who was a pro skater?
Please bring him back for a part two. Could listen to his stories all day
I’m 37 and still amazed at what you learn everyday. Skating as a teen I always viewed these iconic guys are something different and then you hear their story decades later.
I went to high school with 2 out of those 3 dudes (Hurley and Sean Young). It's amazing to hear some of the details of their trip down to ATL and then to SF. I was so stoked when Sean got his first pro model from Antihero..having one of the homies "make it" brought the scene in California that much closer
The first 1.5 hours are the diaries of a lovable Alabama Hobo.
Jamies such a legend. this made me like him even more and i already really really looked up to him.
Watched this all in one sitting. Best episode yet.
PotatoPlop thats impressive im on my third sitting
3 and a half hours! Fuck yes!
Got out of skating for pro wrestling (planned falls apparently hurt less?) but I’ve always kept such an appreciation for the culture and the art form itself. This man reminds me of why.
I also quit school and worked at Burger King lol
I've been living in Dothan AL ever since I was 12, I'm 29 now. This is the first time I've ever heard someone say Dothan outside of local things. I grew up skating in Dothan and Jamie was always a legend to us.
@Cecil Gibson He's the best thing to ever come from Dothan.
I used to want to be Jamie Thomas when I skated, he was my absolute favorite. I had his zero boards and my favorite skate shoes of all time were his half red/half black fallens. They were so amazing. I wish I could find those today! Jamie you made me love you even more after this interview!! Great job nine club!
"Whoa... this is way higher than I anticipated... dropping for ages... I think Jaws could do it for sure." - Jamie Thomas on The Leap of Faith
Thank you Nine Club and Jamie Thomas
The Chief looks like Nigel Thornberry
Legit someone take a screenshot and photo shop the hat on him.
Mixed with woody Harlson.
LMFAO yeah he does
Been thinking that for a while now. Glad to know someone else sees it too.
Smashing
My girlfriend “what are you watching?” Me “legends”
SAME BRO.SAME. LOL
Skating was my drug of choice in high school and I had one friend that was focused like I was. Skated from 13 to 25 then got diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. I just got a new custom complete for the first time in over ten years. Skate or die my friends.
Respect. Have fun comrade !
And welcome back 💪
Please do an episode with Chris Roberts as the guest, edit it so he's still hosting but it cuts to the guest seat for his answers and he's sitting there. No wide shots obviously.
i back this, but they could mask it out so he's there twice for the wide shot. could be funnier too.
Kinda did that on episode 1, but I agree, a proper Chris interview would be nice, same for Kelly and Roger
kelly is the first episode!
I made this exact same suggestion on an earlier episode but Roger said it would be too much work to pull off. Hopefully one day though!
No wide shots is for cowards.
JT if you read this, thanks for sharing your story dude. You've been through some shit, and I respect your hustle.
Youre welcome buddy
3 and half hours wow! I can understand the delay.. been waiting all day :)
3 and a half hours!!! JESUS!!!! Jamie is a good person. Great work guys!!
when you realize your entire shoe collection growing up was created by jamie thomas
"what about your buddy adam? you would go nuts to butts or what?"
Jesse Blum lost it when they said that, I’ve been riding motorcycles my whole life and never heard that phrase
@@SlipperyPete42069 back to sack ...
Very well done. This might be my favorite episode thus far. Hard to rival the MJ episode, but this comes pretty damn close. Epic length for a single interview! So much information. Jamie Thomas is a great storyteller. His tale of confronting James Kelch at EMB over the Half Cab shoes was hilarious.
I love the Tony Hawk "Joey McScweeb" reference at 23:01. I remember that issue of Thrasher with the picture of "McScweeb" doing the "Woopdie-do" down that transition stair ledge.
You guys threw off the majority of skateboarders monday morning routine that you have created for us haha
Knilf Tlef skaters all over the world watch this bro
Knilf Tlef for real right lol
I went into a panic lol. Where is my Monday morning nine club? I was just thinking to myself all day I hope it's just an awesome guest and they are taking extra time to iron it out. I was not disappointed
David Day yeah straight up this was probably my favorite episode next to B.A.’s and MJ’s, still so many greats have yet to be on I’m so excited for the future of T9C
So much history with this dude. badass. Who's the damn monsters who thumbs down this. Lol.
Jamie Thomas, if you are reading this, you are the reason I became a major Maiden fan back when I was 14 years old, thank you so much for that :D You are my favourite
Fon Du Lac, WI... That, by far, made this my favorite episode of The Nine Club. Much respect Jamie, thanks for the stories.
I’ll be done with this episode in about 3 days from now
Sir. Wizacaca For real, the nine club is like weed. If it's really good, you gotta make it last.
hahA literally only halfway and its been 3 days
It literally took me three days. Great interview though.
Third day in and I still have about an hour left. You couldn’t have said it better.
three days on the dot.
The most satisfiying three hours I ever spent. Two hammers in a row, BA followed by the Chief. Keep going deep guys!!
Still binge watching in 2024. Jamie is the MAN!
Almost had a welcome to hell premiere situation here boys with the upload !! Thrill of it all changed my life in junior high. Zero will kill !
The three hours are worth it honestly
Dude, Jamie Thomas ought to write a book. I'd totally buy that shit!
PERSEVERANCE! Stoked on J.T. powered through his struggles. Very inspiring. Video editing was really dope. Rad to see his background. Excellent show everyone. Props!
Wow! I just realized this post was like 3 years old why is this the first time I'm seeing it?!
I really love this interview. Every single minute of it. So much history. I knew about Jamie when I played TH:PS and back then I was like 12yo and skateboarding wasn't even on my community radar, anything.
So much history in one single skater. Pro skater, healthy person, motivator, entrepreneur, fighter... THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN
YESSSSSS FINALLLYYYYYY! Notification squad whattuup
Also, loving this Joe Rogan-style 3+ hr interview, personally would really enjoy seeing longer interviews that are maybe edited loosely and not having to be full of non stop engaging stories, but end up providing a thorough feel of who the skater is and lots of genuine dialogue between you four. Regardless, you guys are always killing it no matter what, thanks for all you do!! 🙏
Ya, this is/was an epic forum indeed. I've watched/listened it 2x. More to come as I watch it again and test my memory... Beest ever #NineClub. BRAVO all!!!

2 hours in, he isn't even on Toy Machine!!
iwearmoccos really lol I’m 40mins in waiting for it
Awesome video long but worth the watch, learned a lot more about Jamie and gained more respect. I seen him in person in like 2002 at a Zero demo but while everyone bombarded him after the demo I went and talked to Chris Cole who hadn't yet gotten real big, I was more stoked about that.
I met Jamie Thomas in 2017. I got a picture with him and talked to him for a couple mins. That was the greatest moment in my life lol. I live in Montana and we don't get to see any pro skaters. Especially not ones that are as iconic as Jamie Thomas. Really awesome guy, I was worried that he might be a dick. You always hear about people meeting their heroes and idols and the people being assholes. It wasn't like that with Jamie though. He'll probably never remember me, but I'll never forget that moment lol
this comment brings back memories, when mystery first came about. i was at a demo in woodbridge ontario and saw these guys shred the local indoor park
This episode was way too short.
This 3 hour episode wasted my whole phone battery
I've never wanted a Vlogcast to go on more than this
The story he tells about him and his two friends barging across america is so important. I've come back several times over the years just to hear that story again
Jamie’s refusal to use the coaster is a true statement to his I don’t give a fuck attitude
That thing doesn't sweat. No need.
Such a fuckin rebel!
/r/madlads
la croix cans don't sweat?
You're confused bro. Don't hang on to every tiny detail. Concentrate on what is said. Peace to you holmes
Jamie Thomas just caught me off guard on a different level. That's my hero yo lol my guy was a goon! Lol love j.t. jesus is king FALLIN!
This was one of the best episodes! Such good stories. Made my Monday morning so much more enjoyable. Love the podcast.
I was at the Florida contest in '91. Remember seeing Montessi, Reynolds, Gayle and Duran... Damn this interview brings back memories! Then we hit these funky Bank drive thru humps and seeing Dave Duran do the sickest BS Kicflip off of it.
Yup with M. Millagan. I remember them coming thru palm beach county
I don't mind waiting all day for this much quality content. Thank you guys
so sick! Was like watching a biography on Jamie Thomas! Lots of great information! Thank you Jamie for sharing your life story!
What a great interview. This is an awesome show. The gentlemen on here approach the subject of skating with respect and reverence and a genuine interest in the craft. I feel like I'm in good company when tuning in. Great job fellas
After having epi 67th with Brian, now this epi 68th with Jamie, now we're talking serious business. The Nine Club Is finally navigating onwards the stratosphere of skateboarding legends. Thank you guys!
One more all time legend in The Nine Club. Thank you so much for getting us closer to our skate idols. Congrats from 🇲🇽
Dude this makes me like Jamie x10000000 times more after hearing this. Dude is the king
I for one love the fact he got a 3 and a half hour episode. This dude has so many stories and a skill for telling them.
I'm skating a ZERO deck currently... The Chief 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻 one of my favorite skaters ever
Part 2 of Jamie Thomas Please ✊🏼☺
I really wanted to know how Toy Story approached them SID had the classic zero shirt on and always wanted to know the back story behind it
Toy Story came out before Zero started using the skull logo
@@emmanuellykes1428 nah, not saying you're wrong. Im not 100% but that timeline doesn't add up. Zeros been using that forever, and its the same exact skull, it's dead on. Idk tho.
joshua ha Toy Story premiered in November ‘95. Zero started in ‘96.
@@ChrisGalakalos hmm, hard to argue with that haha. I didn't know the exact year Zero started. Coulda sworn it was 95 or 94 tho.
@@joshuaha7661 Zero started using it after Toy Story came out. This is a direct quote from Jamie: "The OG skull was intended to be a one off t-shirt, not our main logo. People seemed to like it because it was so different than what was out there at the time, so we kept it going. I was never in love with it, so we did the blood version in the early 2000's."
YO thanks for this being extra long, this was a long anticipated episode for me and you delivered!
That was amazing! All the storys Jamie has to tell - I have so much respect for this man now.
love and respect.
Best episode yet! Love the long interviews!
great episode with a skate legend. love the longer format. Bring Ellington on next!
This is just one of those episodes you can throw on and never get tired of! Jamie is so well spoken and entertaining & such a great storyteller. Such a legend, dude still rips & im sure we will get a part 2 one day.
I have watched welcome to hell so many times as a teenager that i could tell you every trick coming with out even watching it..lol
1 of my favorite videos ever and Jamies segment was so badass..
Love the dynamic between these 3 dudes
This is going to be a million view episode
3.5 hours!
THANK YOU CHRIS, ROG AND KELLY!
This interview has thought me a lot! I've been sk∞ing for 23 years 15 of them with a torn ACL having papers from the hospital 12 times of meniscus tear...I learned very important info from Mr. Thomas 1 do no quit my job, 2 do no quit skate∞ing. Love you guys can't wait to share my sk∞ing with you!
This episode makes me want to ditch my SBs and go buy eS shoes or something else skater owned.
Patrick Hanlon respect is why the rest of us do that.
Yés !
You should
I like to skate emericas or vans
Yeah I had one pair of Nikes around 07? Meh. I prefer vans. Never skated es. Skated dc and etnies back in the poofy days. I believe I skated dvs and circa as well. Never emericas even tho Reynolds is dope. I loved his classic black with gum soles. Also my favs were rowely xl or xlt forget the exact shit it's been like a decade.
A Rick Howard episode would be the sickest thing. Crob I know you can make it happen...
That'll be the ultimate episode
Thank you for this episode. The 3 hours was insightful and awesome.
This is just 3 and a half hours of gold. this is an amazing show and we're blessed to hear all these amazing experiences from some pioneers of skateboarding.
Roger playing with the coaster, think he might be confused as there was no Stella sitting there. haha
Please have a part 2! 🙏
For sure one of the best episodes! Thank you Chief!
This was the most enthralling interview you guys had. This guy had such an interesting story of battles and came out on top. He really is an inspiration.
I’m just starting to watch but I’m so fuckin hyped it’s 3 and a half hours. I can’t sit through a 2 hour movie but I fuck with this shit heavy.
The chief didn't get a nine club tee or coffee mug.
was no time for that left xD
What a story, and great job for staying engaged the entire time guys! This was beautiful!
Thank you for this, and my childhood. I started skating in 99 and Misled Youth was the video i would watch every single day before i went skating.
Two hours in and I'm still waiting for Chris to say he was in Welcome to Hell.
He brought it up.
Mr. Leap of Faith!
I'm just finding this!! I grew up in Dothan, AL. My sister was a freshman at Northview when he was a Senior! I was ....had to be 5th grade at Highland Elementary and finally got a so-so pro board. It was a Mike McGill with PINK grip tape! hahaha So the move to Birmingham I got made fun of bad, but the one skater down the street-Peter Karvonen, who ended up starting and owning FAITH skateboards gave me a deck with black grip tape.
Just a short story, but funny how things work.
You guys keep doing what you do!!!!!
Awesome amazing content. Been hooked on these vids lately. Keep up the good work. Thanks guys
