They still have ZERO ECM but are harder to detect huh? That makes sense, Stealth Tech doesn't make you invisible or harder to hit, it just makes you harder to see on Radar or other sensors. Although i feel like that would translate into HIGH ECM amount. Cus a normal Ballistic AA gun is probably better at killing a f117 then a Radar guided missile.
I mean the planes IRL didn't have ECM either but I agree I feel like the radar AA should either have a penalty to accuracy or at least targeting time on units that have very high stealth like the nighthawk. Where as ballistic AA wouldn't have those penalties to them.
@@RevWolf1776 Yeah that basically what im saying. Like the whole point of stealth is to hide you from "sensors", Radar in this case. The way they have it now, the plane is just "invisible" till it gets near enemies or drops a bomb, which makes sense cus thats what stealth does.
I don't know its just one of those things that makes your brain hurt.
F-117 is cool, but man, the Mirage IV is probably my favourite unit in the game.
Find me something cooler than 2 Mirage IV HEs doing a bombing run
e: Also I think giving some British infantry the 'resolute' trait to reflect their training would be a good way to buff them and also make the 2nd Infantry Div more viable.

@@gopniksaurolophus6354 Nahhhhh 2 Mirage IVs doing bombing runs looks far cooler, 24 bombs versus 16.
As a side I think the F-111s are all really bad in game at the moment, making them perform more like the Mirage IV would be appreciated. At the moment the Aardvarks are over priced and don't provide anything over the F-16s beyond looking cool

I think you Got quite a bunch of value out those nighthawx although its clear that the soviet player got a critical mass of units and just ran you down, AMX30s feel just useless, can't really find a usefull situation for them, abrahams would have been nice in the beginning, also his helis just smaked you.
Yeah the helis were very difficult to deal with throughout.
Heli recon would have been super helpful here. Just hang them in the back to help spot armored and infantry pushes. Some juicy milans early in the game would have been helpful for keeping the t62s and t80s at bay along with mortars with smoke to break los for local fire superiority. French Sapeurs would have been nice for counter-barbequing the RPOs. Get rid of the card of stingers, swap out for something else, and use Mistrals that have better range and accuracy. Those F117s are fire.

From watching a the latest series by Vulcan I now realize he doesn't use AA effectively and pays the price for it.
How is the learning curve on WARNO compared to SD2?
Of course, it's the same concept, but it seems much, much faster paced than SD2, and I still sometimes get overwhelmed with tons of troops on the field even with 200 hours played😂
If you have experience in SD2 it will help but yes it is generally faster paced which will make it harder to master, not necessarily harder to learn as there are a lot less units and divisions at the moment.

Correct me if i am wrong. The Devs. decided! to implement a F-117 Nighthawk, famous for its stealth. However it can be shoot down by Radar Guided AA?
Or even infrared AA. That is Nonsense. That is utter nonsense. What's next, flying Tanks, Mech Suits.
To be fair, in game the fly at Day. What would make them susceptible for cannon based AA, operated visually.
That's why they were never used at day. So they make 2 mistakes, fly by day and the Stealth Airplane isn't stealth.
I agree. The whole point of Stealth Tech is that it makes you HARD to detect on Radar or other sensor equipment. It really should have High ECM, cus i doubt they would make it immune to Missiles. I guess ECM is based on the Counter measures, which far as i remember the F117 doesn't have beyond its stealth tech. At least they are "harder to detect" thats something i guess.
F-117 doesn't have ECM in real life, it doesn't have flares either. The whole point is to not be seeing so it doesn't have any of the active defence systems.
Obviously in a game they need to balance the vehicle, now I personally think they could still make it a little more powerful but in its current state it won't get killed by radar AA unless you fly near enough directly over it. Having the F-117 not be spottable and be immune to all AA wouldn't exactly be balanced.
Weird that javelins are guided, they should be fire and forget.
This Javelin isn't the same Javelin like in Ukraine today(which is AT, while this one in-game is AA), this is the 1980s British Javelin en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javelin_(surface-to-air_missile)
These are not the Javelin ATGMs Ukrainians shoot down russian tanks with, but SACLOS british/canadian aa-missiles of the 1980s. But it is weird, that the british have not had fire-and-forget aa missiles at this time. Stinger got into service in 1981 and Mistral in 1988.

@@willh2739 This mod takes Wagame into the year 2022. Don't you mean the american Javelin ATGM? It has been said before, but the british had an anti-air launcher, that was also called Javelin in the 1980s. Same name, diffrent weapon.

Ultimately manpads have 40-60% accuracy depending on the unit. Seomtimes they'll hit their missiles for an easy kill, and sometimes they'll miss. What's stupid about things missing sometimes?
@@OrangeGills Having two direct counters to an enemy unit in ideal circumstances shouldn't end with said unit blowing up both. The idea that your defenses can just fail due to literal 50 percent RNG chances just weakens WARNO's status as a strategy game
