Anyone who went through abuse in their childhood or recently (physical, emotional or sexual) or utter neglect or both-and that being PTSD and having to cover up all that by sayin' "they're ok"-even though they're not. "All the demons hiding in my rage" the inner voices that make us feel worthless or the voices that some people heard when they were abused.

Tonight I tried to rub my cat’s belly(which he usually likes because he thinks he’s a dog, but tonight he got a cicada and so he was still in “hunter mode”)and he grabbed my arm with both paws and started biting and scratching. I’m okay, but it’s going to be awkward to explain if anyone sees the scratches since a lot are horizontal of course. I love my cat, but he’s a little shit.

As someone who did cut herself for many years and now healing those physical and mental scars I really can relate to the refrain. Guys, there is always a better way than hurting yourself because you want to feel another pain - it's a hard way to overcome the urge to do that but we all can make it through each night that's coming.

going through highschool with scars on your wrists while everyone says your a poser/loser for wearing wrist bands, until you finally give in and ppl start saying your doing it for attention now that they can see them. even tho the only reason you took them off was to stop the insults. instead you just get different ones. except these you cant remove. if they used their brains before insulting they would see thats not something we would choose to deal with.

I didnt want anyone to see them, the one time i let my guard down, the last person i wanted to see the cuts, saw them and blurted this out in the middle of class: "Hey Austin, why did you go so far as to actually cut yourself just for attention?"

@@alexbroadway29 the pain is all too familiar because I had to suffer this way through middle school I’m 15 now and I also had to go through a loss this year two days after my birthday my sister died from a drug overdose which was caused by someone giving her said drugs she would be 22 this year too
@@caidencash5555 oh my god I had a major loss too. I’m fourteen now and I lost my mom when I was ten due to her having a brain aneurysm. She was only 41 when she died. But only days away from her 42 birthday on April 8th. We celebrated her birthday but we did so without her. I don’t have any physical scars of self harm, just really deep emotional ones that damaged me and my inner child for life! And this pandemic just made it worse. I to struggle with freely expressing my negative emotions to people, even my own family because I’m afraid of being judged or scolded for something I can’t even control! Or even want! I’m scared society will just write me off as being too emotional, sensitive, attention seeking or dramatic! Like seriously does genuinely wanting to die sound like I’m just saying it to freaking get attention! If I’m acting like my normal self in every day life I’m not even an attention seeking child then! My point is I totally get all of your pain, I’ve literally been in the exact same situations. Which is really weirdly crazy! I mean what are the chances that out of everyone I reply to your comment and we’r literally having the exact same experiences?!😝😋

My journey with you guys all started with getting *Would Anyone Care* in my recommended about a month or two ago, and every night I'm just in awe with how good your music is. My three favorites (that I've listened to) are *I'm Not Okay*, this one, and *15 Minutes of Fame*. I can't wait until I can learn a song by ear, because the instrumental in this song is just so good!

Same! Would Anyone Care was my intro to their channel and songs and I really loved it! It perfectly summarized my feelings in a way songs about this topic tend to, but it didn't focus fully on the sad side. It had a pleasant ending, a hopeful ending. A reminder that *Yes, my feelings right now are valid* but that I shouldn't forget that there *is* hope, if I know where to look.

If these scars could speak, they would talk about the 8 years I spent being abused multiple ways by family members and how I survived. They would speak of the mental battle I fight everyday to just exist. I have many scars both seen and mostly unseen.

I only just found this band like two days ago. And I love it so much. While I haven't been fighting as much as many other good people in the comments of the songs.. I can certainly say that each and everyone of you who is either fighting now, or have been fighting is some strong people, to whom I owe a ton of respect for. I can only think back to my time of stress and depression, and I thought that was rough. But you all are far stronger than I am to ever be. I also want to thank the band for actually taking up these themes in their texts, as these feelings and rough times is very taboo, and is not spoken enough about. Thank you Citizen Soldier, for raising awareness to all of these things, as well as giving all of these strong fighters a safe haven, where they can unite and share their battles without being judged or looked down upon, best of all it is absolutely free. There is heroes who wears capes. And these heroes wears casual clothing, wielding instruments and amazing voices. You all are heroes in your own ways, don't forget that people. Not only the band, but everyone in the comments.

This song literally is the story of my life...
I've been struggling with self harm for years and it's gotten better, but it's still a constant battle. I get weird stares and comments about my scars and it used to upset me, but now I feel as though they tell a story just like the song says. It's a story of great struggle, sadness, and loss, but it's somehow also a story of great strength and accomplishment. On bad days your music is sometimes the only thing that keeps me going so thank you and keep up the great work🖤

OMG they are sooo good. I first fell upon "would anyone care" by them and now I'm bingeing all of their music! I love them so much! How did I not know then before😩😍💯
It sounds so cliché, but I can relate very much to this :/ I am still underage and currently visiting an therapist, a few weeks ago I filled out multiple "quizzes", for diagnostic reasons. My results said thet I had high depressive traits, but also positive results for an anxiety disorder. Both my mother and father believe that I faked the tests and it upsets me like hell.. Cause at this point it's not me speaking to them, but them ignoring me talking. It just makes me so angry..
It's always terrible when people think you're faking it, but don't let it get to you. You know that you're not faking it and that is enough, you don't need validation from family. I don't know if you needed to hear that, but I did a few years.

I suffer from Complex-PTSD and your music randomly popped up on recommendations... best decision to click ever. I'm now binge listening all the songs I can get right now because the messages behind the lyrics are really moving and meaningful to me and what I go through on a daily basis. Even with a family of my own now I still suffer from the childhood sexual abuse I suffered from age 4-14. 10+ years of breaking free and my pain still lingers. Music has always helped me express my moods and so far I'm loving this and helps others understand my pain a little bit more. So thank you and please keep writing more amazing music. CZcams recommendations did a great job. I needed this song right now after getting through an abusive relationship and a bad episode of depression coming from that. I'm slowly recovering from the physical and mental wounds, but the scars will forever remain. My parents don't understand and my friends don't either. I wish my scars could speak. Can I just thankyou CS for making this sort of music? It's easy to find music that sad, or depressing. It's much harder to find music that you can relate to. You've helped me, I just wish more could hear this. Wish those who need help had the courage to ask.

I've been bullied at a VERY young age (Kindergarten). As a result, I've gotten PTSD on top of my hereditary disorders, which includes Bipolar. I've went through Special Education for 7 years (3rd grade Q4 to 10th end). This song makes me want to speak up for the victims of bullying. Thank you for this song, as a new listener.

The scars on my left arm, the emotional scars... They really scream, and nobody is willing to understand why we reach the point of self-harming us.
