I know, some people won't like the paint job - but hey, if it makes my 6 year old son happy - then it makes me happy. I think it's starting to looks very COOL.. and I continue the journey into building this giant machine. My son peeks his head in to give his opinion, and I cover a LOT of build steps for you.

So much patience... On full size builds I generally spend 3x the time looking at and planning my steps before I ever turn a wrench than the amount of time it takes to rebuild what I am working on.
Morris is spot on with the color! Amazing what a toothless child can come up with. Yeah, the colors look a little off when the pieces are apart, but when the whole enchilada is together, its delicious!
At this point in my life I cannot afford one of these. I genuinely want one and watching you assemble this beauty is as close as I can be for the near future. I'm a guy that enjoys the build more than the end result and i appreciate your posting of these videos.
I am really starting to like the color scheme. Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man is one of my favorite Marvel characters. I like the way you put in the whole trademark thing. That was pretty funny.
Looks like Mo is needing to sing the old song "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth".
Anyway, looks like the machine is coming along nicely. As you get more of the different sections completed the huge size is becoming more apparent.

I didn't know anything about rc hydrolics before I watched you build these machines. Always good to learn new stuff. Loved it.
For a excavator gonna be used on a show digging gold a gold panel in the cab is perfect!

Very amazing. I would be so excited that I would not be able to stop building. I would try to go to bed just to find myself thinking about it all the time and unable to wait the next day to keep going.

I seen a documentary about quarries and the monstrous excavator I saw was Red so Id say project johnson is a good representation.
Love the builds, you get the balance of detail and time about right. you explain detail without making it a 17hr video about a oil cooler. keep them coming.
I always said Lynda Carter was best to fit her role fully but when Gal Gadot popped in her little bit self, I was hooked on Wonder Woman
AS a machine driver for 30 years i hated that most of them are yellow, plus it attracts tons of bee's and thunder fly's. I think the model is great, can't wait to see it finished :)

The hydraulic assembly alone is super impressive. I like Tony Stark/Iron Man, but remember Black Widow went into battle with nothing more than a handgun.
About the favourite actor: Dean Cain, as Superman, in: Lois and Clark, the adventures of superman. He did a amazing job with that role. Back to the excavator, i love this how it all comes together, and even tough you made some mistakes with the hinges, so what, it all turned out well. Its hard to stay focused with such a build like this. Doing great man!!!

I drive dump truck & one of the rock pits I haul from has a CAT 374 , its not a small excavator.
At my work we have a Jhon Deere 800 & a 850 , the 850 is a beast like 160 K & some change & like 14feet wide from outside to outside of tracks. I love the color scheme...
Aaron.... I'd be surprised if you've never used Canopy Glue. 😲 It's an adhesive that Modelers have used for years, JUST for Glass/Clear Plastic/Polycarbonate. Completely NON REACTiVE.
Even if you're MESSY, it dries crystal clear!! 👍👍
In fact with pieces that big, I'd suggest going heavy on the Glue.
I've used it on my 1/87th Scale Trains, with perfect results!! Worth picking up some. 😉

Christian bale as Batman. (6:31). That cab looks great, I like the gold on it. The red hatch looks good against black. I think it breaks it up. This build is getting even more exciting. I can’t wait to see the next episode!! The red and black is really looking great!! Awesome vid medic!

Definitely Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. And man Johnson is looking amazing as all your projects do I fell asleep before finish last episode but will be going back to watch it within the next day or so. I have to admit seeing this equipment makes me jealous but that’s where I’m leaving it because without you i wouldn’t know about it.

That door makes sense now, I was wondering that myself. Having a straight look from the side. I think that's going to look so cool with that Gold triangle door piece with the rams. Don't know about you, but for me, I'd be cussing myself out on the servo piece finding out that I put it on backwards. I'll be waiting for the 3rd video!
When I was watching the video where you put the Shroud over the hydraulic tank I did look at the instruction and it looks like your hinges are meant to be on the inside which would help you open the door more not telling you what to do I just made an observation I love you show man keep up the great work✌✌

An exacto/hobby knife works great on getting the corners up of the protective paper from acrylic .

Bob Smith Industries Gold CA glue specifically formulated to not fog up clear plastics. Works great on my plastic car models.
I absolutely love these build videos. I would personally use the cat color scheme but I do like the the red. Nicely done and I can hardly wait for the next video

I would never build one of these because I have no use for one and could never afford one but their is something about watching you build one that kind of makes me want to have a go. Heavy metal machine. I love the innuendo makes me laugh every time.

Use Loctite GO2 glue. It dries completely clear and will not smoke out the glass like CA does. Just have to tape the windows in until it dries.

awsome video super entertaining. Tobey Maguire Spiderman 1 specifically but 2 and 3 are also good. the reason is because it was the first super hero movie i saw was like 3 to 4 i got it as a gift for christmas. but also because it was like marvels first big move into the universe and for me is so much more in my tiny pull ups waiting for
Nickleback Hero to come on so i can jump on the bed and screach the words in uncertanty was the best. amazing how a child sparks my most inner child memory thank you. i also just had a kid he is 10 months now.

Awesome build! To glue in the windows, you might consider clear silicone! Use de-natured alcohol to clean up any excess. Can't wait for the next video!
