I dont care what anybody says This entire chapter of fable 3 is the most terrifying peice of work ever put in a fable game. I only play fable 3 over and over again just to enter shadelight.......you cannot escape darkness..it flocks to you always....
@@shadesensei i mean, in terms of power scaling ok, but we are talking about how much they are scary when you play the game, and the wild hunt is the most bland villain ever. Crawler is way better in terms of atmosphere and presentation, voice and dialogues. It feels like you are playing in an actual nightmare. Dettlaff and wild hunt have nothing special on they behalf (dettlaff a little more, but the wil hunt is zero interesting). The only good villain comparable to the crawler is gaunter o'dimm since he is not a typical villain but a way better written and original one
I was scared during this part, it was the first time i had played this game and i didn't know anything about it before i started the game When you first enter the cave theres this sense of unease, its so dark and your dog is terrified then you see the eyes in the dark Then the jumpscare, that quick glimpse of the crawler, it legitimately scared me
Sadly, that effect is dulled during subsequent playthroughs. The first time I walked through Shadelight was thrilling. Even moreso than Fable 2's Wraithmarsh and I avoided that place as much as possible during my first Fable 2 playthrough
Easily the scariest place I've ever been in a non-horror video game. I certainly wasn't expecting it, and watching the normally boisterous Walter lose his composure gave me a sense of unease I've yet to experience again.
I'm gonna be totally honest right now, I couldn't listen to this in a dark room for a LONG time after finishing the game. I always had to have the windows and curtains open.
super super creepy but man it's good. especially that almost music box bit, fuck, I had to silence the game and this is like my 60 millionth playthrough. something weird about playing it alone, in the dark, in bed. this game never ceases to amaze me with how it makes me fall in love with it a little more every time I play it
I think Jack of Blades was pretty scary because you never knew who he was even until the very end. He was also very witty and I must give him credit for that.
This was one of the best scenes in the game, I loved the creepy mood and voices. The words they spoke were truly what you expect from creatures of darkness
If the game focused more on what your enemy was from the start it could of really set the feeling of panic on the player, though that could have been ruined by the fact that you can literally do quests with no time limit therefore killing that threat and making the boss feel non-intimidating
I think we can all agree that The Crawler is the single scariest thing in any Fable game so far, and probably forever. I almost went insane playing that Shadelight level. Darkness Incarnate...................

You've got it wrong. There was the Court of Blades, the Court of Shadows, the Court of Corruption and the Court of (Insert name here) 4 sides of the same 4 sided coin. They all conspired together to bring the downfall of Albion and were created by the Aeons, 4 'Gods' that also happened to create the Sword of Aeons. The Aeons plotted to destroy the old (kingdom) and make way for the "New" (The Rift! Kinda like Hell) There is a Queen, a Knight and a Jack for each (Except the court of shadows)

We pretty much all know how you feel
The scariest part is when the crawler is whispering “darkness shall spread across the world” or “this land is ours”
Even though this game didnt feel like a fable game I think the story was pretty good
The scariest part of this main quest was the Sancturary getting more and more devoured by the darkness as you progress.
This was one of the best scenes in the game, I loved the creepy mood and voices. The words they spoke were truly what you expect from creatures of darkness
