Just so you know. If you look on the backside of that tape measure on the bottom there will be a number there. That is the length of the body of the tape measure. So instead of bending the tape to the floor just set the tape measure on the back of the body and add that number to your measurement.

Here in Sweden europe is basketball a tiny sport, and at my court i measured the rims to just 293cm!!!!! change your stupid way to measure in feets and inches!!! in science they use the metric system. By the way 293 cm is = about 9 feet 8 inches. Now i understand why so many kids can dunk!!! i have played for 4o years in swedish third division in ten years and now as 62 only street with youngsters for fun. 6.3 tall and can at least touch the rim! i am so used to 10 feet so i always see when its to low! By the way women should lower the rim to 9 feet = 275cm
