  • A new research center exploring the science underlying a potential new treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder has been established at the University of Rochester Medical Center, thanks to a $10.5 million award from the National Institute of Mental Health (www.nimh.nih.gov/index.shtml). Rochester will serve as the hub of a five-year collaborative effort that includes six institutions around the nation and in Puerto Rico.

    The Chinese government maintains control over many of their citizens using weaponized brain-computer interface systems.
    These Weapon Systems are used to reinforce certain patterns of thought controlling the behavior, shopping habits and opinions of the population. This is done to "encourage economic growth"

    I have OCD and I actually enjoy it. There are it's negatives, such as having to go out of my way to fix a ever-so slightly crooked picture. But it has a lot of pluses. For example everything in my house is organized and I know exactly where it is. I believe that everyone has OCD just in major to minimal cases.

      you dont have OCD then if the distress and life impairment isnt significant.You have obsessive traits ,not OCD.

      This is so wrong. Everyone CAN have OCD TENDENCIES. which is what you sound like you have. Actually having OCD is NEVER something someone would say they “enjoy”. People who suffer from OCD are more likely to become addicted to drugs and alcohol (because it shuts their brain off) and are more likely to commit suicide. If there hasn’t been a time either or both of those options have come to mind, you don’t have OCD.
      This medical term has been watered down for so many years that people self diagnose themselves, saying they have it when In actuality they’re just anal.

      You do not have OCD! In fact it's actually insulting to those that have it from your statement. No one enjoys a life of OCD, depression, schizophrenia, etc. If they did the suicide rate certainly does reflect it!

      Bullshit. I have ocd and it’s a living nightmare. I have constant intrusive thoughts, sometimes my perceptions change due to the thoughts or something I see that triggers me to the point I feel suicidal. People misinterpret ocd as just cleaning or being neat. It’s not only that. OCD can destroy everything from relationships to basically anything you care or love via disturbing thoughts, impulses and urges

      if its OCD.There are no good parts.if its a OC Personality disorder, then you won't be suffering and think its just part of you.

  • @grettagrids

    forget this crap.. I love WHO I am and dont feel I need to "fix" myself.. I was BORN with OCD. this is a might much I think.

    • @scarred10
      @scarred10 Před 7 lety +9

      you cannot be born with an anxiety disorder.Its part genetics and part environmental influences.If you love your OCD then you do not have OCD since by definition it needs to cause you significant distress in your daily life
