A week or two later he would be under his mechanical concoction replacing broken and bent parts. Not applying math first is a pain in the wallet.
Torque will break things much faster than HP. He got real good at taking things apart and replacing them. Push rods, valves , clutches and internal auto trans parts. He was also real good at breaking manual transmissions. He never got good at fixing them. When they break not as easy to fix as a automatic.
But I know how to fix a network operating system. Had to learn a bit of math to get there.

He taught me not to look at it as brand specific parts but understand each individual components purpose and function and you can use them to do what you want. 4 example running a 2005 honda accord v6 on GM 1980s hei ignition modules. Sounds crazy? But works cause if u understamd what the modules do u can use them to do what the honda needs. Really went a long way to removing the fear of "exotic" & german cars. I knew how it all worked and why so no problems. Except old VWs and german wiring diagrams they still mess me up haha

When people talk about all that they're supposedly going to do to their car, they usually use phrases like "Turbo, supercharger, bored-out cylinders, etc". And all I can think is: "Yeah, but what kind of transmission work are you going to do?" The transmission is a very fundamental and expensive part that everybody seems to forget. Without a good transmission, your engine and all of its mods is useless.

Brilliant video, this man has more than PHD , he has 40 yrs of life experience in building and rebuilding transmissions and that only comes with time and if i lived near you folks, sound like your from Texas i would simply send you my transmission to rebuild , it will only be done one way the right way and i could put it back in my car and get another 200,000+ miles out of it, Hell by then they'd probably take my license away ,LOL, I truly hope all is well with you and yours and continue this amazing work and would not be surprised if you had a waiting list to get trans work done, Your family name is Critch, had a good friend with the same Sir name and was one of the best people you could meet , just like you folks , fantastic video 👍
