I feel like Palma could be really effective as a CAM rather than a winger, since he's not blessed with crazy pace I'd like to see us try him out there

Maybe need to change it up a bit, we could try a 3 4 3 instead of shoe-horning Ralston in at LB, that would also allow us to play Kyogo and Idah up top together but I can't see it happening.

Aj doesn’t like running beyond or with the ball he even looks awkward doing it. He likes playing it inbehind or an early cross. Taylor/ berny both play inside an leave palma with no overlap an sometimes no inverted run either an take up needless space instead of running beyond to drag a defender giving palma time to cross or step inside

Hibs are losing games because they play 4-4-2 and every team runs over them in the centre of the park. It would be daft not to play three in there
@@davidkelly499 Montgomery hasn’t been playing that failed 4-4-2 for several weeks now, he switched to a 4-2-3-1 and even transitioned in to a 4-5-1 in the second-half against St Mirren. Aberdeen went with a 4-2-3-1 on Saturday and look how much we struggled. If Rodgers goes 4-3-3 again, we won’t win the match. There is absolutely no need for a possession dominant team like ourselves to employ a balanced system, which emphasises too much Defensive duties for our Midfield, when they should be solely attack minded against this dross we face week in week out. Four at the back is not working, especially when our full-backs never overlap and become too inverted, almost playing as centre-mids at times, which just completely congests things. The main role of a full-back is to be explosive and provide expansive wide play, but AJ (especially) and Bernabei are both terrible in this dept. It should be strictly an offensive focused formation like 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. Probably the latter, so that Kyogo isn’t isolated.

There is absolutely no need for us to continue to go with a back 4, it’s clearly not working. 3-4-3 all day long. Scales is better and more than capable of controlling things on his own, without a bomb-scare like Rocki getting getting in his lane. He adds nothing but panic and uncertainty and it’s starting to really affect Hart’s game.
It will be a mere miracle if we win the league at this point, with this defunct middle-third dominant system employed by Rodgers, being evidently rejected by the players more and more.

@@soldierofgod349 to be fair our style of play appears to be easy to nullify. Smother the wide areas and force through the middle where we have no creativity or anyone you can strike from distance. Doesn't help when our wide players, when they do get space... can't beat the first man with their crossing. The strength of Ange's team was that it was relentlessly fast, pressing and forcing mistakes in shape due to this quickness. BR has them playing pedestrian football with 30 side to side passing and allowing the opposition time to keep their structure.
How many times has Hearts beaten Rangers in the last five years ? I say this because the huns keep going on about Aberdeen lying down to us.
Hearts beat them a few times under the Gerrard era, think their last was their last league victory was just after the Jan bream in 2020, think a Scottish cup victory a year or 2 back also, but not many. Its more to do with how they get beat off us like 4-0 then 2 weeks later beat them like 3-2. Motherwell last win over Rangers was 2002, Livingston was like 2018 & many more likes Hibs was 2017 with McGinn scoring the winner whilst since then all 3 clubs have been us in total about 10 times

The late Mr. John Stein once declared "to win anything in Scotland, we have to be miles better than Rangers " at the moment, we are not miles better than them, we are sort of on par with them. In this crucial run in of fourteen games, Rangers will get all the little nuanced decisions to see them over the line. Tomorrow's result is meaningless. Rodger's and the Lawwell,s have put us in an unsurmountable position where wining this title will require a miracle on our half and a meltdown on the ref,s and Rangers half.

I think 3-5-2 remove Tony and throw Idah up with kyogo or just hook Kyogo. We’re loosing patience up front and it needs to be freshened up. Maybe Kyogo needs to come on after the hour mark😊

Ralston at LB? He was terrible against Aberdeen and was caught upfield multiple times. Try Scales at LB as he is left footed and play one of our other centre backs at CB.

That choice would be better. The Kuhn sub effected change against Aberdeen, as did to a lesser degree Idah as Kyogo"s performance was poor. The others did not. I think that Ralston is a poor choice on the left. Bernabei was playing good up until that short ball to the static Bernardo. The real question on that goal was: where was our captain? Scales, Johnston the whole defensive recovery was poor in the extreme. I think the midfield needs changed particularly, McGregor for not showing for the ball and taking no responsibility as a 'captain'. (3) in the middle need to complement each other, presently none can defend. (1) attacking (1) defending and (1) a combination of the other two. In stating that, that does not permit any player from playing both ways. If Rodgers starts Maeda on the left is that to cover for Ralston. All players need to be committed and put in a performance.

Frame is injured. Scales isnt a left back, its just cause he is left footed. Be as well playing McGregor back there is thats the only consideration.
Lagerbielke is brutal. Of our 5 centre halfs, he's the worst.
There is no room to cock it up against Hibs.

If Navrocki takes a step up instead of tracking the run it’s a simple offside and then he compounds it by showing Miovski inside onto his stronger foot and also opening the angle. Starfelt is miles better than Scales. Some people have very short memories. I wasn't the biggest fan of Starfelt but he only had a few poor games, Scales has had more poor games in 6 months than Starfelt had in two seasons
