Thank you for doing this video. I struggle with the light colors. I find them to always be so streaky. I have no problems with the dark colors only the light. Now that Iâve watched you apply a light color and explain the two viscosities in the product. Iâm sure I can overcome this problem now. I really appreciate this video. Thanks again đ

I saw your video using the gold buttercream and just loved it...but I'm a DYI-er. I know there are some really good ones that might compare, but as a cake decorator, that name really got my mouth watering and I LOVE LOVE LOVED the texture and consistency this gel displayed. Wish I could get it!!
I'm just a diy'er right now, working towards getting my license. One of my nail tech friends let me try the buttercreams one time and I was amazed at how easy they were to use. Can't wait to get certified so I can buy them.

Gorgeous demonstration! I would really like to know what product you used to create the filigree style art on your other nails. The gel I am using now doesn't keep the shapes I create. It falls or flattens. Suggestions?
This is Great Liz!! I was really skeptical about the buttercreams because every time I would apply it was streaked to much around the cuticle. Now that I know I can see the difference when it is stirred. Also, the difference with the color gels. Thank you Liz for explaining the buttercream. Stay Safe and Well.
Thank you so much for sharing these type of videos. I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for almost 14 yrs now and am getting back into nails on top of doing hair. I am new to Light Elegance and was wondering what the difference was between color gels and buttercreams. Not many techs around where I live use LE so Iâm planning on taking the LEU Bachelors program so I can bring these into my salon.

Just painted with a thickened mixture of buttercream and a bit of acrylic powder mixed in to make it a thicker paste sort of texture.

I am a licensed nail tec but I became alergic to acrilic and just recently discovered the hipoalergenic products.
Since it is so expansive I cannot allow myself to purchese it and I continue to use cheap nail jels from ebay and wish and have the alergie. Will be very happy to win your givawey so maybe I'll have at least 6 colors that wont make my fingers eachy and swell. Love you!!

I have a question I have never used any gel products like this. Do they smell like fingernail polish? I want to start taking care of my nails but the smell of fingernail polish makes me get sinus infection.

I am thinking about switching to potted gel colors in my salon. Which do you prefer, LE Buttercreams or Kokoist Color gels? I typically use luminary for my base. I am going to buy a couple of colors from each, but I figured I would ask your opinion as well! Thanks! :)
Hi Liz. I have a quick question. I have tried some LE products and love them. My question is for some reason the area around my nail gets really itchy when I use buttercream. It doesn't do it with Jimmy gel, p+, glitter gel or the topcoats but only with buttercream. Do you know why that could be? I had only used buttercream once before and had that experience so I decided to give it another try yesterday morning and I am having some itching. No swelling or rash just a little itchy. Thanks girl!!

I recently tried to follow the jimmygel instruction video but for some reason the next day 2 of my nails completely peeled off!! It was the strangest thing and im sure there was something i did that must have been wrong. Has this happened to anyone?

Not if applying on a finished nail. Buttercream is usually applied over a finished overlay like hard gel.

I really don't understand why I have to be a certified nail technician to purchase Light Elegance products. I can do my nails better than many certified nail technicians can. On a video with Elizabeth and Suzie, Suzie talked about having to be a certified technician to purchase products. I agree with Suzie that you shouldn't have to. Could you give me reasons why I should be certified to buy your products?
Hi Susan, this actually isnât our decision to make. Each manufacturer decides this and usually itâs based on a lot of factors. Insurance usually is much more complicated when selling professional grade products to DIYers. Additionally some companies were founded by working nail techs and want to support that part of the field. Also thereâs the risk of untrained users bashing it on social media or causing harm to themselves or others that a lot of manufacturers donât want to gamble with. It really just depends on how they feel and their company policies. As a reseller we follow whatever each company prefers for their product. â€ïž

I understand why nail techs should be able to get the products at wholesale and the rest of us pay retail. That is how the clothing and sewing industries work...mostly.
