It's kind of nice to see the character small and in the center. All games have that Mass Effect, Arkham Asylum, and Skyrim close up back, and to the left cam.
Right, it adds to the feeling of isolation and makes the environments seem bigger.

Lara’s mouth moving and facial expressions when she talks?!?! The sound of the wind in the towers of the Great Wall?!?! The little details show this truly is a labor of love and I couldn’t be more grateful and happy 🤎 can’t wait to play!
Just sucks that it wasn’t a true remake but its a remaster that is done from the ground up which is still impressive and i like the modern controls, almost a game changer

I remember the Tomb Raider 3 was the hardest of these, painfully hard. You had the save crystals you collected for the times you need to save. No crystals, no saves. Tomb Raider 2 was my absolute favorite. I had nightmares about that dragon for years..😂

I grew up watching my mom play these games so their very nostalgic for me and my sisters. it's what sparked the gamers in us that we are today. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into the remastered version of just solidified my need to buy them myself! Really enjoyed watching these again. Really appreciate your channel and videos x
really big fan of tomb raider i was 5 years old when the first one came out so this was nostalgic for me :) thank you for showing this the graphics are beautiful but nothing beats the original
There's a T-Rex on Tomb Raider 2's first level. It's under the zip where you died first. Need to hand if the ledge then drop to where the crevasse is and go down a ladder from there.

My dad and me used to sit through tomb raider 1-3 and figure puzzles out together, if we got stuck we would talk for hours on how to figure it out. My dad passed away a couple of weeks ago and these videos give me so many memories.

What an absolute blast from the past, I loved 1-3, my dad and I use to play on ps1 when I was a kid, I believe it was the very first game I saw as I watched my dad play it from a distance then joined him to play and watch while we sat on bean bags back in the day lol. Can't wait to see more, these tomb raidar games back in the 90's were somehow frightening, had an eerie feel to them in a lot of the levels and the dogs, tigers and dinosaurs that would attack you, incredible games.
My grandpa and I would play this game for hours. Literally my childhood 🫶🏻
The fact you had to be so precise was what made these games good. Whenever you made a particularly long jump it made you feel good rather than modern games where you just magnetise to the ledges and leaves you feeling nothing
I've been absolutely loving this remaster so much. I played Tomb Raider 2 so much back in the day but I never beat it without cheats. It felt so good to finally play through these games man, like literally completing an unfinished part of my childhood. Currently on the Unfinished Business expansion on the first game after completing the three base games.

Such a game-changer for PS. One the hidden gem is you can make her do full slow-motion forward handstand on every leverage by holding and not releasing the button.
You have to press the "walk" button. Also works when she does a swan dive.

I remember watching my stepdad play this back in 97 ....tomb raider is one of the games that made the ps1 what it is today....the greatest console of all time

Hey, man! It was so awesome to see you play these classics. I’m a long time fan of the Tomb Raider series and I’m pretty hyped for this remastered version. I’m ready to hop on the nostalgia train. This games definitely inspired other adventure-platformers and it holds a special place in my heart.
TR 1-3 were the first games I ever played as a kid. I remember struggling to get a shot at playing it a few times because my dad kept hogging it when he finished work 😅it was also the only video games he ever played and he even had the walkthroughs printed out and stapled together 🤣 good times. Will 100% be playing this, can't wait.
Oh man, in one of these games, I think 2, we used to go to Lara's mansion and lock her butler in the walk-in freezer because we were scared of him chasing us like a zombie. We were so dumb but it was good times.. The games looked so good back then, Venice in 2, with the boats was amazing at the time.

Tomb Raider was the first game ever bought for my PS1. It was from my mom for my 11th birthday ❤ That was 25 years ago.
The first trilogy was the only Tomb Raider games that I never got around to fully understand its tank controls as a kid and I find Resident Evil games then more manageable. I can finally play this proper now.
I like that her hands move when climbing and using weapons. Looks so much better.

Played these on the PS1 back in '96/97/98 (I officially bought them for my kids). For all the great games that have come out since I've never thought any were quite as good as the original Tomb Raiders. Just a personal opinion. Btw, love your commentary on the game.
I’m not going to lie I’m gutted you said your doing this as a one off! Loved this as a kid! Used to watch my dad play as a kid and then from angel of darkness I played on until modern day ones! And I hope in years to come my boys will still play! My all time favourite game is TR3! The bit with the helicopter crash and shooting the dinosaurs out of the back is probably my favourite bit or London! If you reconsider playing them I would be most grateful! 😍😂

Much better than the og tomb raider games. Not in the same level of graphics as 2006s anniversary remake of tomb raider 1 but still good remaster and we get 3 games instead of just tomb raider 1 remake anniversary. 9/10 for me this remaster

For sure nostalgic. I vaguely remember this being the game Toys R Us had in their PS1 that you could play.
If they had reworked the FMV sequences with the new models, then, it'd be the "perfect" release... It kinda takes you off when you're playing with the new designs and suddenly the old cutscene shows up.
Yes, I agree, that is a bit disappointing. At least they reworked the in-game cutscenes, adding lip sync to the dialogue.
@@Rocket1377 I ask myself (in my infinite ignorance) if anyone with enough skills could "backport" the FMV from Anniversary etc. to the "Remaster", as the models are similar and it wouldn't look so "out of place". (Note: I haven't compared the original FMV versus Anniversary and the rest, so I don't know if they are 1:1 storywise).

It's fun watching you play. I remember playing these games in the 90's, damn frustrating! But it could also be enjoyable, with little surprises and secrets; like walking onto invisible ledges. I'm debating whether to buy it, since it was so frustrating trying to be so precise like you said. Should I buy the same headache I already had with this years ago??? Idk.

I used to watch & love these FMV sequences back in the day Hollow. I think my favourite FMVs were Tekken 2 & Soul Blade. Great times man when everything was more simple.
Crazy how it only took less than a year for a AAA game to be created. A whole trilogy would be released in 3 years. Now it takes about 7 to 10 years to make a sequel.
Some things can be annoying, but that's what was available 😂

I personally wouldn’t mind watching you play these as more than a one off thing. I know the gaming market is kinda dry right now outside of a couple big title releases and a million Indy horror games that all look alike but I’d definitely like to see you play more of these than those 🤷🏾♂️
Anyone remember the T Rex on Great Wall of China? If you drop from the zip wire at a specific time you land without dying and a T Rex is down there

Actually, on average she kills more humans than wildlife. Lara has a higher body count in TR2 alone that Jason Voorhees does in the entire Friday The 13th series.
