I’ve traveled all over the United States, and Miami has a very, very unique vibe. It’s an extremely fast-paced, glamorous, and over-the-top kind of place. The freeway is like a dangerous racetrack. I also don’t find the people in Miami to be particularly down-to-earth and friendly, like you might find in the Midwest. People, please listen to what this man is saying. Many people who move to Miami will simply be chewed up and spit out by this expensive and crazy city.

I believe everything you’re saying about Miami. I think it’s a great place to go visit, but I don’t think Miami is a long term place to live unless you’re a multimillionaire and up. Even these people only live there part time. It’s like it’s not a real city. It’s like a tropical Vegas on water lol! It’s more of a place to visit and stay for an extended weekend and leave. People who do move there stay for a few years and then they grow up and move to real cities like Dallas, Houston, Austin, Atlanta, etc. last thing I wanted to touch on is the fact that Miami is a large city, but everything you want to do is concentrated within a small area which is basically Brickell, downtown, south beach, etc. if your there long enough, you tend to run into the same people.

This was a really good video and thank you so much for the in depth breakdown. My brother moved to Miami back in 2010 and has never left. I visited for the 1st time last year and spent a few weeks there and I can say for sure that Floridians have a strong attitude and I think it comes from being around New Yorkers and upper East Coast people who have migrated to Florida the past 80 or so years. I feel that Floridians have taken on the horrible attitude that New Yorkers have. The service is trash and it can feel racist when dealing with some of these people in those establishments. I do speak a little bit of Spanish and I am married to a Puerto Rican & Colombian woman she too said that the people have horrible attitudes. I grew up in Southern California where Spanish is prevalent and you will experience the same thing so I get it when you have the majority and others have ruined the experience by doing certain things that left a stigma. The Drivers, my goodness the worst I have ever seen in my life, good lord you will need the best car insurance you will ever need. The Drivers drive like it is Daytona 500 or Fast & Furious its INSANE! You will lose your cool because people cut you off at high speeds, smash on the breaks suddenly, bust U turns in the middle of the road, cut traffic off and swerve across 3 lanes to make a last second exit. I tell you it is Insane. I will say this though, you have good and bad everywhere, and I think the good outweighs the bad in florida. It is a Paradise like no other compared to the rest of the USA. Miami reminds me a lot of Los Angeles infrastructure wise and the grid. But Miami is 10x Better than Los Angeles to me because of the way they built around the Beaches, rivers, bays, sandbars, canals, channels etc... You feel like you are in another country. You will have to adjust and thats all, get in where you fit in.

I'm a native born Floridian. My whole family are Floridians, who descended from the Native Seminoles and mixed with black American slaves. We didn't get an attitude from being around New Yorkers. Floridians don't like New Yorkers, or any outsiders. We've watrched immigrants flood our state (thanks to the government) and people from other states come here and gentrify our communities and neighborhoods. Prices are high and native born Floridians are having a hard time paying, what was normal rent to us, now price gouging. We cannot be the only state with sunshine? the sun shines everywhere....we are tired of people moving here and diluting the native Floridian population. Miami was a city of white and black Americans predominately, before the cubans started flooding in in the 1970s and 1980s (mariel boatlift) and now you cannot recognize the city. It's majority hispanic immigrants! The same thing is now happening all over our state, except instead of just immigrants...it's people from other states. Why can't you people just stay where you were born??

@@IllUMINATED33 Thanks for your take on Florida! My family blood line is Cherokee & Black Feet Nation going back to the 1700's. I love Seminole history, but as far as moving and migration goes that is just life and we have to adapt, nothing will ever stay the same anywhere on the planet. Before the Europeans, French, Portuguese & Spaniards showed up the entire Americas was different. I just think that in life people will move to better places and we just have to always be prepared and be ready to adapt or migrate.

So either you have the money to live that life, or, like me, you adapt and make your career something that takes advantage of that fact. I’m an event bartender, so I get to see all the dopest venues, be at the most extravagant parties, meet all kinds of people, all while making money. I keep my bills as low as possible and live a great life in a truly beautiful city. But it’s only possible if you’re not trying to live above your means. Being bilingual is also a major advantage.

So moving from Waikiki, Hawaii to Miami is not that a big of a transition. We have the highest rents/housing costs in the nation, so paying $2500 for a studio is not a shocker. A lot of beautiful but fake, high-maintenance men and women here; food/restaurant costs almost the same (but we do have a lot of restaurants in between the high-end and cheap eats places; clothing is the same: you can find all the designer stuff here but there are also places like Ross, Marshall, and Target where prices are reasonable. One difference though is that the people here are very friendly, the aloha spirit is still alive (but rapidly fading). Our issues with traffic is that there is too much of it on the highway all day long...bumper-to-bumper and the lack of parking spaces, especially in town and Waikiki. If there's an accident or truck spill on the freeway, the entire freeway shuts down and you're stuck for hours until it's resolved. As far as the Latin thing goes, I love Spanish and Latin men (especially Puerto Ricans) so that's all good. We do have a ton geckos, chameleons , and big roaches--and the roaches will be in your house no matter how clean you are (I keep Raid and Combat on hand at all times) -- thank God no iguanas yet. So yeah, moving from Hawaii to Miami is not so big a change. Plus you guys get to travel anywhere in the lower 48 or the Caribbean without having to pay an arm and leg for plane flights like we do. But yeah, your weather there in Miami is no joke! Thanks for the heads up on moving there.❤

Miami is more than just Downtown, Brickell, Midtown and the Beach. It's a very third world city outside of these tourist traps. Broward County is perfect for the non Latin and close enough to do what you need to do.

      Naples is becoming extremely overpriced.
Everything is about condos. Single family homes are $650k and above. Condos being priced $400k and up, the HOAs are out of control.
Our HOA last year said everyone had to pay $5000 "one time fee" to replace the roofs. But we pay hundreds every month already.
The HOAs piss away money every month, no one knows where it goes.
The hurricane destroyed a lot of stuff including the pier. Also the old people are very nosy and entitled.
Just visit Naples but don't live here.
