    I am interested in using this module to send messages via laser by turning laser on/off very quickly- would the receiver shown in your video react fast enough to enable the on/off pulses to be decoded at the receiving end?

      Arduino can accept about 21mA load at each GPIO. I did measure the current for the TX. Measure the current and if it is below your the maximum output current of your board, then connect it, else. use a transistor or relay driver to drive the TX.

    Hi Robojax. I would like to know if the receiver gives an analogue output. In other words; does the output amplitude change with intensity of laser light received, i.e. if the distance between transmitter and receiver varies, does the output vary too. I am asking this because I wish to make a short range vibration detector, where vibration amplitude is very small; in the sub millimeter range. If it is an analogue output, the variation will of course be very small, however, that can be amplified for visualising on an oscilloscope. The vibration frequencies I wish to detect are in the audible range, from about 200Hz to 4kHz. Any knowledge about this would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi Max, Yes it should be possible. This module is however made to give HIGH or LOW. if you find an OpAmp (operational amplifier) you could get variation of voltage corresponding to the amount of ray received. Then use Arduino to represent it to different level of smoke.

What would I need to do for that? Thanks!

When shoveling the dirt into the drywasher if there were somekind of sensors that could send a signal to block the flow of dirt until it clears up. • @robojax
      @robojax  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, it can be done in a simple way using LDR to detect light czcams.com/video/iNea_HM967A/video.html but enclose the LED (light repentant resistor) in a dark STRAIGHT pipe so the light does not reach from to LDR from the sides except from the front. This the longer the pipe the farther you can aim to a bulb. Or you can use fancy camera system to monitor a bulb.

    For the laser transmitter, what do I need to connect it to for it to work? As far as I understand it just needs to be powered, but how do I do it. I can't connect it to the Arduino because for my project the Arduino is connected to a wall with the sensor and the transmitter needs to be connected to a door that needs to open freely. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry for the newbie question :')

    • @robojax

      the farther the distance, the harder to aim. unless you use binocular to fine receiver. I have not tested it but it should be 100s of meter.

      I have answered this multiple times and seems people don’t read comments to see if someone else has asked the same question. The range is about one kilometre. But you can see it so the range is whatever distance you can see to aim. It is very hard to hold it sill and aim.
