I really like these 9 and a half minute long highlight videos. They really showcase the abilities of players who aren't as popular like Bass, Shumpert, Acy, etc.
Am I the only one not concern with how many shooters we got now ? The more the better .. Look at GS they have like 6 shooters all got a peice of the cake. Start Russell and clarkson at 1 and 2 and kobe at 3 we should be fine kobe would be quicker than a lot of the sf in the post and would help his defense a lot instead of chasing guards .. Lou is the 6th man he's not a starter but a GREAT 6th man . Trade swaggy for another quality utility player at sf and we got something positive .

Samuel albaradei Every since 2010, the regular season record has only been decline. Not once has it improve the past 5 seasons. At this point 8th seed sounds amazing XD
Tristian E. Encinas 8th seed = more wins than losses, which I don't think will happen. We lost Lin, Boozer, Hill, and Ed Davis. Hibbert, Lou, and Bass will simply fill that void. So it won't be any different from last season tbh :(
Tristian E. Encinas We will be better but maybe by getting 10 more wins. That's all. Kobe has been a huge salary liability since his achilles injury and can't manage to play past all-star weekend without season ending injuries.
Me personally, I think a starting lineup that would propose the biggest mismatches would be Pg: Lou Will Sg: Kobe Sf: Julius Pf: Ryan Kelly C : Hibbert The only problems about this lineup is that julius cant shoot 3's for being a sf nd theres some faster players he'll defend...nd ryan kelly doesn't have d. But this lineup would produce alot of rebounds, it'll be slow-tempoed (which is good for kobe) ryan can play his natural position at the stretch 4, it'll have plenty of big bodies for Picknrolls for Lou, julius could dominate most small forwards when he takes it in the paint like lebron does, nd kobe could play at his naturally position, plus this lineup as a team would be this pretty decent defensively playing a 2-3 zone. Then you could have a bench that would definitely produce points with russell, clarkson, swaggy, bass nd black. Plus I think its good to start the young players on the bench early on...let them start later on in the season or if we have injuries god forbid lol
I wonder if the Lakers have something up their sleeve regarding trades. I don't know what team in their right minds would ever take on a terrible contract like Nick Young's, but they have to at least try to get rid of it.
***** I think it's 3 years 16 mil, last year is a player option. It's not so much the numbers as the issue, it's the amount of years left and the kind of player that he is.
A very hopeful Laker fan .........Nick Youngs contract is not a burden when he signed it, wont be a burden when the cap increases, and the length is in the Lakers favor going into the cap raise. Also, what do you mean......."the type of player he is?" Lou and Young have identical career stats and are both spark plugs off the bench. Lakers can not benefit from cap space at this point because there is no pure 3/D wingman worth making salary space for on the market anymore, and the Lakers have to spend 90% of the cap. Nick and Lou make a strong 1 2 punch off the bench.
Eastra3 Dude makes more attention what he does off the court than what he actually does on it. Guy has more turnovers than he does assists, plays zero defense. He's playing around having a good time making our image and brand look like a joke. I don't want a guy laughing and celebrating on plays when we're getting beat by 30 points. Losing should hurt and want to make you strive to be better. Sorry for not wanting a total schmuck on the team.
A very hopeful Laker fan When you take in the full scope of Nick Young in games, he isn't celebrating and joking around on every play. He does it either off the court, when its OK, or he does it when he makes an amazing play or is clutch. Highlights make it seem like he is joking around all the time, but that's only like 2% of his time on the court, not even. Also, you are valuing character over production. He produces enough to warrant celebrating his in game achievements. Sure he isn't a good passer, but his defense is improving. Would you rather a serious player with a stone cold glare that does nothing meaningful.....Like Kendrick Perkins??? Even Clarkson celebrated a lot, its just Nick looks sillier doing it. At least He isn't doing Sacre celebrations after shots. Dennis Rodman was a very charismatic guy, but he produced. Sure Nivk isn't on that level, but the fact is Nick produces. That is what matters. I think Sports is getting caught on this image of what a player should look like while playing, and its taking all the joy out of the game. You can still have fun doing your job.
