This is part of the yearly "Classis is Groot", (Groot is Afrikaans, the English is Great). performed in South Africa, which is where she lives now. The piece consists of two songs, "The River", the rhythmic lead in, and "Nella Fantasia", sung by Amira.. The flautist appears in both songs, I am embarrassed to say I don't know her name, but she is also wonderful, as are all the associated performers. The ambience, the huge crowd, the massive orchestra, and the many, many performers, are all due to the yearly nature of the show, which draws performers from near and far. The concert, as far as I know, is currently not being held due to the Covid-19 influence. Those of us who watched Amira grow up are constantly amazed as she has gotten better every year, as I, at least, have thought every year she couldn't continue improving. And every year we are amazed all over again. She just turned 18 on March 27th, celebrating it with an online streamed concert., PPV. And once again, we were all blown away. May she continue to improve, though as always, I don't see how she can.
Amira has such a powerful and beautiful voice. Not bad for a 12 year old or any age. What also helps with her, I believe, is she finds out what the words mean, so, it allows her heart to send all the emotions out. Nice reaction look forward to more

First Classical then soft pop now Broadway. It's been two years since she has put out an album. Many of her fans(including myself)have moved on to other genres and other singers.
It is so wonderful seeing you become so emotional over Amira's performance of Nella Fantasia. Many of us feel the same way often allowing our tears to fall in the privacy of our homes. Amira gives her all to her audiences with never a half measure. In addition many of her songs have an emotional aspect to them appealing not only to your ears but also to your heart. Her performances of 'Your Love', 'Nessun Dorma' in 2017 and Gabriellas Sang & 'Hallelujah' in 2018 immediately come to mind. I can't explain it but despite repeated viewings the emotion rises again and again. So those of us who wear our heart on our sleeve understand.

But only a few weeks ago, as part of an all female concert streamed for veterans, Amira's contribution from South Africa was 'When You Wish Upon a Star,'. with her dad playing piano. She was 13 at the time and this is considered to be one of her best, if not the best. Also there is O Sole Mio when she was 12, and Gabriella's Song in Swedish when she was 13 also. Amira is the best child opera singer by far. Her range, pitch, vibrato and voice warmth are absolutely phenominal.

Jackie was never Amiras' mentor. Seeing Jackie sing on AGT did inspire Amira to do the same. Also, Jackie was kind enough to contact Amira and congratulate her on winning but I don't believe there was any great friendship or even any prolonged contact. I do think it would be very interesting for them to make some music together. They have very contrasting voices but I think they would blend together in a very interesting way. Who knows, it could happen. It would be interesting to hear their combined voices and contrasting styles.
