It seems this bad tackling dilemma is happening a lot more than it used to. Both the NFL and CFB have had some of the worst tackling this season that i have ever seen.

@@dentonyoung4314 Yup. Can’t help but wonder what might have been WITHOUT Enos all year. Enos was having KJ trying to do QB Astro physics. Jefferson just does so much better with a simple game plan.

Florida use to be the baddest team in college football. They use to brawl with every team that came in the swamp . These kids aren't playing with a chip on their shoulders. Arkansas quarterback beat them , Florida had no strategy to play the quarterback. He picked them apart because he had all day to throw . The offensive line did their jobs for Arkansas.
Agreed. It starts with this, finding a coach and players that have a heart for UF. Spurrier was the guy as a player and coach. Meyer was not a UF guy and a great recruiter, BUT he had Tebow as a leader with UF at his core. The teams in the last 10 years haven’t had a true Florida player with that Gator in him. These kids love the lore of the Swamp, the uniforms, the traditions, and they love riding the very reputation you speak of from the past.
But they ain’t it.
Florida has been playing football for 100 years and they've sucked for all of them except for 17. This is just what they are.

They had a good run with Spurrier and Meyer but that's it. For the rest of their existence they've sucked. This is the normal Florida Gators. It was abnormal for them to be relevant.

Is it just me or were the refs doing everything possible in Q4 to boost the gators ?

The hold call on #51 was iffy at 3:13 - the DE spun and the tackle released him pretty quickly. Don't like that call, but it's not egregious. I have no idea how they even saw #5 false start the play after, had to watch it back again. Still probably the correct call. The hold by #78 at 5:51 was a no brainer. That was a massive hold.
It definitely seemed lopsided from the highlights, but looked like decent calls.
@@smashkirkmanit was the whole game. Arkansas recovered 2 Florida fumbles that magically were ruled not fumbles. Arkansas got a touchdown, that the receiver dropped when he got a concussion as the DB slammed him down (A PI was called, but it should have still been ruled complete), and Florida's potential game winning field goal should have never happened. The clock should have ran out but the refs didn't let Arkansas substitute their players after Florida did.

My friend and I thought the kick went in, started celebrating, and turned off the laptop. Walking back to our dorms, we see the screens on tailgates and watched as the hogs scored the last touchdown.
Great game. I'm an OU fan and didn't have a great day. However, in my older years I've learned to appreciate OSU. This game was great! Mr. Jefferson is a horse of a man.
Arkansas was the better team today for sure and score was not indicative of how Arkansas outplayed the Gators today.
The refs tried their hardest to give the game to Florida, on several occasions.

This Arkansas team is much better than the 2-6 record that you see. If they had even half the offense production they had last year they could be undefeated rn. The defense has kept every game close despite the very poor offensive performance before Enos got canned
I know this hurts FU fans but just think - you'll have Sam Pittman-coached teams for at least one more year... probably 2-3 because Ark will treasure this one game way beyond Pittman's problems. "I remember the season where we won that one time."

Exciting finish, but how is that running back not down at 6:23? If there was any room between his right arm and the ground, it must have been measured in nanometers.
I literally said this as soon as it happened. The arm he carried the ball in definitely was down. Back of the hand, wrist, and forearm on the ground, means your down. Not saying it would have made a difference in the outcome, but definitely a missed call.
FSU fan here. The tackling by both teams is horrendous.

Florida needs to learn how to tackle. Be ready for contact, get low, and wrap up. Lots of tackle attempts were like they didn't really want to tackle , going too high, and arms in by their body - no wrapping up

Florida’s tackling is embarrassing. That final Ark drive in OT was humiliating. When it was first and 20 and #14 for UF looked like a kid on a 7th grade team who’d never played football before trying to tackle the QB. No effort. What’s going on down there.
I hate to be that guy but it should have never went to OT if Sam would have called a time out to settle down the defense when the gators wend down and scored to make it 33-30

Gators are in a world of hurt for the rest of the season. No adjustments at Half time to stop Arkansas. The Gators had so many chances to win this game and they screwed every one of them up. As soon as the Gators lost the OT coin flip it was over. The defense couldn't stop a runny nose. A ton of freshman playing so it's to be expected. On paper they are going to get rolled up the last 3 games of the season, LSU, Missouri, Fla St, 2 on the road and 1 at home.
Billy is seemingly recruiting well but look at Texas A&M, Jimbo had the best recruiting classes in the country 2 years in a row, but what has that gotten them...Not Much. Rumor was,Fla St wanted to fire Norvell at the start of last season, look at them now. Norvell 3rd season and they are solid. Hopefully Fl gives Napier a 3rd year to get "His" players involved, especially the Big Mobile QB he has coming in.
