So smart of you to make videos for your patterns. I'm still new to knitting and bought your book months ago but haven't made anything yet because I realized I'm a visual learner, especially when I'm first starting to learn something. Both of your recent sweater videos have clarified so much for me. Thank you so much! I did not expect to have the desire to knit fall/winter clothes in the spring/summer but here we are.
You should try the stay up till dawn sweater from the book!!! It was my very first sweater, it took me a few tries but its on thick needles and a thick yarn so it knits up pretty fast and it has no special textures so just read the pattern closely, I believe in you! :)
@Michal Ostrovsky Thank you so much for your belief in me, I already feel changed as a result 😊 My first sweater was a raglan sweater by @handmadebyflorence. She has a step by step tutorial on her channel and an easy to follow pattern I highly recommend. Once I finished that sweater I wanted to make another sweater that was not a raglan sweater and had no idea how to do things like picking up stitches (for the collar, for ex) and joining the body and sleeves.
The basic fundamentals of knitting are easier to learn in video format (for me, at least) once I get to a certain level I can rely solely on patterns but I don't feel like I'm there yet.
@@Ali-yo6vl Yes no problem! I definitely understand what you're saying, but I learned that sometimes it's good to just start a project and learn as you go. I've also been thinking about making Florence's sweater and now that you recommend it I might!! Her patterns are gorgeous!
What is the name of the book please? I tried searching for it, but only finding a book to be released next November. Thanks!
@@Lyagushka8669It is called "Knit this" it is linked in the description of the video as well.
I love how happy and bubbly you are in all your videos!
Finished my salty days sweater today!!! 7 months later. I am a very slow knitter but it was worth it. Thank you
Ooooo!! I LOVE this sweater! The collar, and the dropped sleeves, those textures!! 💜🧶💜
As a new knitter,I can’t thank you enough for this wonderful tutorial !! I’m going to be purchasing more of your very well written patterns after I complete this project😊
The same I put the video on,the sound. My bird start to sing! It's fun that my bird also like you😀
I absolutely adore this sweater. I am currently working on my first knit sweater, and as soon as I am finished with it, I will be casting this on. Thank you for this pattern and video 😍
Thank you for taking the time to provide this tutorial! SO very helpful❤️ Beautiful sweater too!
These tutorial videos are so clear and helpful! Especially how to pick up stitches 😊
I cannot believe how much work you put in explaining this (and also several others of your) pattern(s). Really wow! 🤩 You are so dedicated, which I think is so so inspiring. Also this jumper is really beautiful. I definetely wanna knit one for myself at one point. Kiitos ☺️
Knitting this sweater with yarn from my stash. Fun making it, never boring. Need your videos, I'm from the Netherlands. 😻
Kika, thank you SO much for these videos! I started knitting last year by watching your videos, this winter I proudly wore my first Lighthouse beanie, and now I look forward to try and make this sweater. Thank you for explaining your patterns so well - love love LOVE this content!
Million thanks for the tutorial. Knitting seems to be so easy and effortless with your videos, but I’m aware of a great deal of time and effort and work done behind the scene. Thank you for sharing!
I'm knitting this sweater right now, and I must say, this is the best explained tutorial and written pattern I have EVER knitted. I'm enjoying it so much and I feel you are right here with me knitting it along. Thanks.
Witaj.
To piękny projekt. Dziękuję, że dzielisz się Twoim talentem 💐😊🌹
This tutorial MADE ME HAVE TO GET THIS...I was thinking it was super difficult...but not really after you explained this. TY for the way you communicate Every one of your sweater tutorials has been super enlightening.
Beautiful sweater. The pattern is really well explained. Great video. Thank you 😊
this is going to be my first textured sweater!! i was so excited when i saw you had a video to help clarify the parts that are new to me. i absolutely love this sweater and cant wait to have it finished.
I couldn’t wait for this video once you modeled the sweater on Instagram. Simply gorgeous. I bought the Arctic Light pattern and was waiting for time off from teaching this summer to knit. I may bump it to second to do the Salty Days sweater first. ❤
Thank you for making this video. I’ve gotten pretty comfortable knitting but always worry I’m doing something wrong. It’s so helpful to have a reference while working on the pattern. Also, your patterns are very well written, thank you for putting in the extra work to make them easy to follow. Love your positive attitude! Always cheers up my day to watch one of your videos💕.
I love this sweater, especially in white. A great tutorial.
so gorgeous! I have been thinking about this pattern since seeing your triangle scarf. I have always wanted a knit sweater in white and this one will be the time that actually happens. I deserve a white sweater! and this pattern is just beautiful, the detail added right before the cuffs is everything. Also, want to make the triangle scarf in white. Maybe a Victorian white/pearl color. And just realized recently what the difference between drop shoulders and raglan etc even was and that I prefer the look of drop shoulders so this tutorial will be very helpful i'm sure when it's time.
Not only a beautiful pattern but an absolutely terrific tutorial plus your charming presentation! Thank you! Love your color choices too!
Thank you so much 😀
This is my second sweater that I have knitted according to your instructions. I really enjoyed knitting this beautiful sweater, the instructions were very clear and detailed and I intend to knit more of your sweaters and cardigans. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Love your pattern! I instantly thought that I have to make it in a pink yarn I have in my stash but didn’t know how it would look like, and just seconds later you show your version in pink 😍 Definitely casting it on!!
What an absolutely gorgeous design! Congrats so much on the release :)
This is the second piece I've ever knit, the first was just a simple stocking stitch cardigan where the pattern was basically "knit back and forth until it reaches desired length." I had some other patterns I wanted to try but didn't feel experienced enough to tackle a pattern. This video is excellent in teaching not only how to read patterns and use charts, but also how to cable knit. Gorgeous sweater that looks far more complicated when finished than it was to knit. Now I'm going to have to knit all of your patterns!
So excited! I've been waiting for this one.
I would enjoy seeing this sweater made, with each section done in different colors.
My yarn for the Salty Days just arrived! Thank you for this tutorial, I really appreciate this and ALL your wonderful content!
Please do more tutorials! I’m a beginner and have been avoiding knitting sweaters flat but this video really helps my confidence to give it a try!
Wohoo I just finished my Salty Days Sweater! It came out beautifully! Thank you for the tutorial video, Kika!
What an absolutely gorgeous jumper this is Kika….I love the colours you chose for ALL of them, I especially love the gray for some weird reason lol.
Thank you for sharing the videos with us, I really enjoy watching and listening!!
Have a great upcoming weekend and thanks again!!!
❤️Tina❤️
Hi Kiki, well what a beautiful sweater! , will definitely be on my to do list. I am just knitting the Arctic light and really enjoying it. You make such gorgeous designs. Thanks for the tutorial, it will definitely help me as I haven’t yet knitted a sweater with this kind of construction.. looking forward to seeing what you come up with next ❤x
I just finished mine and it looks soo pretty. Thank you so much for the amazing Pattern. I got never bored working on it even though it took me 2 months with everything going on in life. But even on busy days I felt motivated to reach for this project when I relaxed in the evening.
It was really difficult for me to work the ribbing in the sleeve edge because of the very small circumference. I tried with 40mm cable, I tried with a magic loop but no hope. Thankfully I discovered that there is a way to knit small circumference with two circular needles, and then I was finally able to finish the sleeves. All in all, this is a great pattern, and the instructions are very clear. It is my 2nd knit project 😊
This tutorial is one of the best I have seen I’m a returned knitter I’m captivated by this pattern I’m buying it. Thank you for knowledge & inspiration 🙏
Have just started knitting this. Never knitted a top down before. The video and instructions are clear… it’s a joy to work on…
Using drops air which is amazing and soft .
I adore your book, and your videos are so inspiring, I’m not what you call a natural knitter, I have an issue reading patterns, so a tutorial is amazing
This is an amazing video, thank you. Watching you work the different parts of the sweater construction gives me the confidence to try your pattern
Thanks for such a detailed tutorial. I love the sweater and now feel confident I can knit this! My first sweater !
Oh boy, oh boy! I can't wait to get started!!! Your sweaters are beautiful!
I'm going to buy your book based on this amazingly in-depth tutorial. Thank you for clarifying so many techniques, you're an excellent teacher 😊.
These gorgeous sweaters that are knitted by all of the wonderful people on you tube, just blow my mind!! I have been knitting for 6 years, and I spend more time frogging than knitting...lol
I love this pattern and the tutorial, I changed the sleeve design for me because I didn't like it getting so tight! Chart C (especially row 5) is the most confusing part of this pattern so I think you should do a tutorial for that!
Thank you for the lovely pattern and tutorial ❤
Agree. Have 9 st instead of 8 at very beginning without passing a stitch over. Don't want to omit the yo
Absolutely lovely. This sweater. So wonderful. Thank you so very much. Kindest regards from here in England.
You are a lifesaver! Thank you so much for making tutorials to go with your patterns. I love knitting but relegated myself to blankets as I just couldn’t follow an in depth written pattern. Thanks to you I am working on your beautiful Salty Days Sweater. Without your excellent tutorial I would be still knitting blankets!
It's so pretty, I'll definitely try it when fall comes.
Thank you so much for your kind explanation!!!
This sweater looks amazing and having the tutorials is invaluable! Just found your channel and subscribed. Will be definitely be knitting this once I've tackled the sweater I already have on the needles! :)
WOW. This makes me want to take up knitting. I think you have explained the process so well. TY 🧶
Love love love the pattern!! Thank you for showing us the tutorial to this. I’m going to have a go at this!
Oh I am so happy with this, eventhought I am an experienced knitted the visual explanation is just so good! I can't wait to start! Thanks you for this effort! X Sarah Jane
Thanks for the tutorial. I was actually trying to figure out how to do another pattern, since this was my first top down sweater and I was very confused. You made it so simple! If I finish my current project, I would love to make this sweater next😍 I wish everyone made videos along with their patterns.
thank you so very much! bought the pattern; decided to watch the video first..Now I feel that perhaps I can knit this beautiful sweater. Cannot wait to start. Thank you!
You are so amazing and gifted knitter!!!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us 🙏
Wow, thank you for the lovely tutorial, winter is knocking on the door in South Africa, starting mine today 🦋
I've just downloaded, I've had some mohair yarn in my stash for ages I've been dying to find a sweater for! I'm so excited to knit this 🥰 thank you so much!
I can’t think how I found your videos but I’m glad I did…as your videos are so informative and concise. I wish every knitter/pattern designer had these sort of videos as I’m a visual learner and sometimes following instructions is not easy for me. Totally in love with your knitting style and I will be buying this pattern…once I get through this latest knit I have on my needles. Thanks a lot and…happy knitting to you👍🏼🥰
Ooh this one seems less daunting than the Arctic lights sweater! ❤ Of course these tutorials help immensely in tackling the patterns. Thank you so much Kika for all the work you've put in
I sprained my right wrist 3 weeks ago . I won’t be knitting for a while, but as soon as it has healed I will be knitting this sweater. I have been watching CZcams knitting blogs for about a year now and your podcast is one of the first that I have been following. I enjoy your enthusiasm and your patterns, of course.
I like this model. Here, it looks more comfortable for the neck because it's more open. And the patterns are rather easy but interesting. The process is not boring.
I purchased this pattern today….early morning… because of your tutorial. I would have never believed I could knit this with out the instructional Vidio. Thank You!!!!❤❤
I loved every section of knitting this pattern!
First time I have saw your podcast and your sweaters are gorgeous… and doing a tutorial was fantastic !!!

Hello Kika (from Israel).
Thank you for all the videos . Its give me a lot of inspiration and motivation.
I love your patterns , and your videos very intersting ❤❤❤
Hi Kika, I just recently discovered you on CZcams while searching for a tutorial on how to repair garter stitch. I am enthralled by your talent and all the gorgeous sweaters you have created! I just purchased your Salty Days Sweater pattern and can’t wait to buy some new yarn and get started on it! First I have to finish a pair of socks I’m knitting for my sister-in-law 😉. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing what your next knitting venture will be!!!
Love this tutorial video. Just purchased the pattern and will cast on soon ❤

I have started this sweater as my first time knitting and first time making a garment. I have crocheted scarves, hats a blanket and shawl. But I really love knitted work.
This beauty is definitely on my wish list!
So beautiful, I finished mine so far, I loved. I only changed the sleeves size, so small for my arms.
Just saw the pattern on Ravelry and came to see if you posted a video as well!! Excited to get started on this! 💕

I really like this sweater and it will be my next project. I will be using navy blue light worsted merino. I am hopeful the colour will not be too dark for the pattern stitches to be highlighted. So glad for the tutorial. Thank you Kiki.
Thanks so much for your pattern video. Looking forward to starting this sweater very soon.
